Merry Monday No. 10

Good morning on this new start to another week, the weeks are going by rather quickly.  Today it is supposed to be 7 degrees but no rain/winter showers, so that is a relief. It is -2 at the moment brrrrr

Paul did leave yesterday boo hoo and it was a very quiet day for me.  How wonderful that it was Mother's Day, I got lots of calls from Cyprus and just look at these gifts and cards I received.

I also got some beautiful tulips from my mum

I did nip into town to take a couple of items back and then it was home to do a bit of housework, as you do on a Sunday.  However, the afternoon was spent in the craft room.  I made more bags and started the crafty week cards.

As usual, on a Merry Monday, here is a stunning Christmas card that we received from Pam.

Thanks Pam, it is great.  And this Friday it is Christmas Card and Chatter Club.  If you are coming along please let me know as there are only a limited number of spaces.

Here are the thank you cards that I have made for the month of March using an old trusted stamp set, Stampin' Up! Archival Ink and the butterfly punch.  The papers are out of the sale a bration pack and go just a treat on this card

Not forgetting the super sparkly diamontes that I used too.  I know not everyone likes butterflies so I made Alison one with flowers instead.

Goodness, I had best get my skates on, I dont want to be late for work.  Thanks for having a read today and wishing you a lovely day, whatever you are up to.  Tracey x

Sunday

Happy Day

Wishing everyone a Happy Day, whether you are a mother or not.  It is cold out there today, really cold.  Everywhere is white and frozen over brrrr.

My mum went to Asda opticians yesterday and she said how wonderful it was to see nearly every person walk out of the store with a bunch of flowers.  I thought that was really nice.

I had a smashing day yesterday, lots of lovely visitors, more orders taken, plenty of Stampin' Up! bags collected and even a few things off the dressers went to new homes.  And of course the bonus was, Paul was home too, although he is really is leaving in just over an hour.

Today I hope to finish the next 3 bucket bags and get everything cut out and prepared for Crafty Week because it will be here soon.

Here is the card that I made for my mum for Mother's Day.

And this is the bucket bag that I made with a few bits inside for her to open.

If you are out and about today and would like to collect your order, call in for a cuppa or a chat, please do, I will be here.  Thanks so much for having a read and I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Saturday

WARNING a long post

I just love this quote that was sent to me and today, I am doing just that, off to the craft room.

The weekend arrived at last, not home from work till gone 3 yesterday but I had a smashing evening last night as Paul's trip was postponed by a couple of days so we managed to get a few more bits sorted out at home.

Some more good news is that the base of the greenhouse has been dug out and on Tuesday the floor will be put down, ready for the greenhouse to be put on it, getting exciting now.

Do you, or do you know of anyone that may need some place card holders?

I am afraid that the photographs doesn't do them justice.  There are 15 packets of these available and if you would like to have a look at them, please get in touch.

My sewing machine is out today as I have a few bags to finish, yes that is right, I am practicing my sewing by making bucket bags.

This is the first one I  made and I have material to make a few more.  I just adore them and making them is keeping me out of mischief, honestly.  I am going to sewing class and there are places available if you would like to attend.  To be honest, if a few more people dont go, there may be a chance that the classes would be cancelled.  They take place on Wednesday from 6.00 - 7.30pm.  You take along all your own items that you want to make and the teacher just helps you through, learning along the way.  Last week I learnt how to  zig zag all my edges and as I take my own machine, I am learning more and more about what I can do with it.  You dont have to have a machine as there is a classroom full of them.  Just email KarenGreen@chellaston.derby.sch.uk for more information.

This time last weekend we were in Leeds and here is another little find from Kath Kidson

I shall keep this in the craft bag for my travels although I dont do that much crafting outside the craft room anymore, I must rectify that.  If anyone knows of any classes, events or anything else card making, please do let me know.

I have quite a few thank you cards to finish off today as the Stampin' Up! orders have arrived.  A couple of things are on back order, why is it that the back order only effects the same couple of people, every time?  All I can say is that these special ladies are so 'on trend' they know what is popular.  Speaking of thank you cards

This is one I made to say thank you to a special lady for letting me play with the wonderful country scenes stamps.  I had great fun and had to order a set or two, tut tut.

Well the craft room is calling me, I shall go and put the heating on, have breakfast and have a day in a calming and relaxing environment.  Kettle will be on all day if you fancy calling in for a cuppa, to place an order, to collect an order or to come for a natter.

Thanks for having a read and hope to see you later, let me know if you need directions x

Friday

The weekend is nearly here

Good morning on this fresh Friday morning.  Oh it looks fresh out there. Although I thought I was having a couple of quite days, it got a little busy, I took a trip to Mcarthur Glenn.  Now I went to take back clothes and it ended up costing me a bit more tut tut.  I have had lots of ironing to do as Paul is going away as well as other bits and pieces.  Maybe I get a quiet week next week.

Stampin' Up! have changed their weekly offers and for this week, this is what is available.  The papers are a bargain and that embossing folder, got to add one of those to the baskets.

If you would like to order anything, do let me know.   There are just 27 days left for Stampin' Up! Sale a Bration.  27 days to grab yourself a free stamp or papers, or journaling items or sparking tape. 27 days to get £160 worth of products for just £99.  If you would like to find out more, I am free most of the weekend so why not pop in for a cuppa and a chat.

FOR SALE

6x6 photo album for £5.  Brand New

Script Stamps £2, one on a wheel and one removed from the wheel.

Lots more bargains to be had in the crafty space.  If you would like a browse through, please feel free to call in over the weekend in Alvaston, Derby.  Give me a call on 01332 721877 if you need directions.

Here is one of the cards that we made during crafty week

I can not stop playing with this balloon stamp and punch.  It is just perfect for any and all occasions.  We used lots of different colours with this card, night of navy and mint macaroon card along with marina mist and pool party inks.

It wont be long and crafty week will be here again.  At the moment I have a few places on Thursday 17th March at 1.30pm, Friday 18th March at 7.30pm and on Tuesday 22nd March at 7.30pm.  If you would like to book on any of these dates, I will require a £5 deposit to secure your place.  We usually make a little box (this time it is Easter themed), as well as 2 cards.  The price is £7 per person and the only things you need to bring with you is enthusiasm and sticky stuff.  If you dont have sticky stuff you can always purchase some here.

YIPPEE the Stampin' Up! orders are due today, all 3 of them.  They could come at anytime up to 6pm tonight.  All backorders are due today too, so I am going to have fun sorting them all out.

Well I had best get ready for work, it has been a long week and I shall be glad when its going home time today.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a Fantastic Friday x

Tuesday

White rabbits

White Rabbits for the new month of March.  I hope everyone has a great start to the month.  Weather wise we are due to have rain but going to work this morning will be warmer than yesterday, it is 7 degrees out there.

We ended February with a spectacular weekend in Leeds.  It is a wonderful city.  We spent Friday night at the x factor show and it was great.  The only shocking thing was Sean Miley Moor was miming his song, out of sync and that was rather bad in my eyes.  Apart from him the rest were great and we were entertained for the whole evening.

Saturday we went to the shops and wow.  I cant wait to go back again, lots of shops, lots of variety, lots of friendly folk and here is one of my purchases

How cute is that little book of post it notes, I adore it. Then in the evening we had an Italian meal and went to the cinema.  Finished the day off perfectly.

Here is a card that I made for one of the ladies that left our office last week, to work in another office.

I loved making this and I have an order for a few more of them, that will keep me busy when Paul goes away at the end of the week.

SU order arrived yesterday.  If you have anything outstanding please get in touch so that I can arrange to drop it off/for you to collect.  What a busy month I have had with orders, I do hope March will be just as busy.

If you have been thinking about getting £160 worth of Stampin' Up! goodies for £99, dont think for too much longer.....the offer will finish in a few weeks.  If this is something you and a friend have been considering, get in touch with me and I can tell you a little bit more about it.

I suppose I had best get myself ready for work.  Have a great day and thanks for having a read x

Monday

Merry Monday No. 9

Good morning on this Merry Monday and with a temperature of -2 today, it does feel wintery.  The forecast is a bit better though at 8 degrees and cloudy.

Apologies for not updating the blog last week, as many of you know, the blog is the first thing to suffer when I am really busy with other tasks and last week really was very busy.  I was here there and everywhere and loved it.  Monday I went out for a meal, Tuesday we had class, Wednesday was sewing, Thursday was a candle party and Friday was our weekend away.  And it was a smashing weekend away.

This week should be a little calmer although I do have lots more card orders and Paul will be leaving towards the end of the week for a while.  I am also off to Mcarthar Glenn and I must have  trip into town at some stage, yikes did I say quieter.

As usual, I share a little something from last Christmas and this time it is a card that we got from Diane

Thank you very much it is lovely.

Last week was the last Crafty Night of February and this is one of the cards that we made

It has been created using the new Number of Years die and co-ordinating Framelits and it is a smashing set.  So many possibilities.  The two together cost £44 but it is one of those sets that is going to pay for itself almost immediately.

And if you do purchase this set from me, I will add one of the Sale a Bration items, of your choice even though it is £1 short of the £45 minimum.

Well I had best get a wiggle on and hit that shower.  My car will need scraping brrrr and I shall be at work a little longer today. Thanks for having a read and wishing you a very merry Monday.

Merry Monday No. 8

Good morning on this Merry Monday.  Now just where did the weekend go?

Yesterday I managed to get into town to return a few bits before coming home to a wonderful Roast Chicken lunch that Paul had cooked, followed by Rice Pudding (care of ambrosia, not Paul).  Then it was a quick nip to Sainsburys and B&Q.  Then it was chill and catch up time over coffee with George before nipping off to see Jane.  Home to the ironing and the day was done.

I am really pleased to say that the loft is now just about all boarded out so walking up there is a lot easier.  As we are having work done and people will need to do 'stuff' in the loft, we thought it was best to get it boarded to save any nasty accidents.

I didnt manage to get the chores done so hopefully I can do a few today along with the baking for tomorrows crafty class.

As usual, on a Merry Monday I share a merry something we received at Christmas and today I have a card that we received from Loretta.

A lovely card and the photo just doesnt do it justice.

I have started drawing out my patterns for the bucket bags that I hope to make on Wednesday night at my sewing class.  Once I have them drawn out I shall copy them and let the other ladies have a copy as everyone is really nice and we all share things.

Right then, breakfast it is followed by a few hours in the office.  Have a great day and thank you so much for nipping in for a read x

Sunday

Late night visitors

Good morning from a very warm Derby.  It is over 12 degrees outside, no I didnt miss type, 12.  I hope to get a quick breakfast and showered to get out there to do an hours gardening before the rain arrives.

Yesterday was a lovely day, a really mixed bag, if  you know what I mean.  Once I cleaned up from Friday nights antics (crafting that is), lots and lots of ladies nipped in and out all day.  I was fortunately enough to meet 2 lovely ladies that I hadnt met before a lovely young lad, Seth.   When you get up in a morning you just never know how the day will turn out.....life is full of surprises.

We did another couple of bathroom places to try and find the right taps for Christiana and saw another lovely display or two.  I am now saturated with bathroom fixtures, fittings etc. I shall be glad when the work commences and we move on to Kitchen Cupboards and layouts.....or will I?

We had another visitor last night

I shall not say he wasnt welcome but he was a porker and he was a bit of a shock.  This morning there are a couple more out there, all good for the garden.

Here is another card that I made last weekend.

I have been asked to make a few more of these cards with names on, how wonderful is that?  Something for me to do later in the week.

CARDMAKING CLASS on Tuesday has 2 spaces if anyone would like to come along to an evening of making cards and a cute little box?  Please get in touch if this is something you would like to do.  The venue is in Alvaston, Derby and we start at 7.30pm.

Best get my breakfast and start the day, thanks for having a read today and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Saturday

Monday in the sun

Good morning. Well the blog is not playing ball and i have been advised that the programme i do my blog in is rather old and its best to start a new one......gasp. So for  the rest of my holiday i will get by the best i can.

We have had a smashing time so far, spent most of it by the pool due to the heat and have relaxed best that i can. Visitors coming and going all the time and out eating wonderful food.  Today paul and i are hoping to get to the beach for a few hours.

The stamperettes order has been placed and that should be waiting for me when i get back. The pen club order went through and i hope all the ladies can join me on Wednesday 13th July at 7pm for a couple of hours to play with the pens. Then on Friday 15th July it is Christmas Card and chatter club.

Here is a card i made some time ago and the photo has sat here on my blog for a while.

Thanks for having a read and i hope you have a lovely monday x

Friday

Curvy Keepsake Tree

Good morning and it is -2 at the moment brrrr.  Its a good job I am up early to defrost the car.

Got to work yesterday.  Took coat off and opened door to hang it in coat cupboard, a bag fell off the top shelf and hit my shoulder before hitting the ground with such a thud.  Someone had put a pair of heavy safety shoes on the shelf but just wedged the bag they were in on the edge of the shelf.  The pain in my shoulder last night was quite bad and it is turning over in bed, lying on my shoulder that woke me up at 4.45....it will be a long day.  But on the positive side, Friday is going to be a great one, cause Fridays always are.

We had a smashing afternoon yesterday crafting away the hours.  Thanks to all the ladies for making it so nice.  Tonight there will be a few more ladies visiting for even more crafting and I am pleased to say, I am all ready for you.

As it is between valentines and Easter, my little tree has been naked, which just isnt right.  So I came up with this (not nice having naked trees).

A Stampin' Up! curvy keepsake box tree.  Every time we have a crafting session we all make a little curvy keepsake box so I thought I would display mine.

Another card that I have made with lots of glitter on.  I think this is so cute, now just waiting for a birthday.

I am still on my annual crafty clear out so if you fancy a browse over the weekend, why not give me a call and pop in to see what the dressers are holding.  New bits being added daily.

I will go and make Paul a cuppa and get myself ready for the office.  Have a fantastic Friday and thanks for having a read x

Thursday

Ready, Steady......

Good morning, I dont know where the night went.  No sooner had my head hit the pillow it was time to get up, really.

The craft room is ready, the cake is made, the project sheets are typed and the kits are prepared.

There are still a couple of places left if you fancy a crafty afternoon, just give me a call before 1pm.

I still have to go to work this morning but I will be finishing bang on time and coming home, so looking forward to a crafting afternoon.  I have even got tea organised so Paul can just pop everything in the oven.

Another card that I made last weekend

Thanks for having a read today and I hope you have a lovely Thursday

Wednesday

Midweek Musing

Good morning from a damp Derby.  The forcast today is rain, rain and a bit more rain which I dont mind at all.  It is the ice and snow I struggle with so rain is just fine.  It also gives us chance to see if Paul's new outbuilding has now had all the leaks cured.  Had a chappie here for 5 hours yesterday drying the building out and putting a varnish on the insides.  The building has been up since November and we cant do any work in it at all due the dampness and leaks.....fingers crossed.

It is half term this week so no sewing class for me but I will be getting out my material and cutting out a few bags to sew up at next weeks class.

A new Weekly Deal today from Stampin' Up!
So many things that I have my eyes on this week.  Let me know if you would like to order anything and I will get it added on to my list.

Fancy a card making class tomorrow afternoon?  I have a couple of spaces if you do.  We start crafting from 1.30 so doors open at 1ish.  This takes place in Alvaston, Derby.  It would be lovely to see you if you want to join in.  Give me a call on 01332 721877 for more details.

Here is another one of my cards.

Part of the set I made which I really enjoyed doing.

Best get move on and get ready for the office.  Thank you so much for nipping in today for a read and I hope you have a wonderful (and dry) day.
