Monday

Good morning and another start to another week, although its going to be a very cold day today says mr weatherman. I will wrap up warm. I have a day of nipping here, there and everywhere, I am sure you know what I mean.

Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with Lymphodema in my legs. It has taken four years to get this diagnosis and so now trying to get on top of this and get some help. A lovely lady is helping so I am off to see her first thing this morning.

The wedding invites are underway and I now have all the front done for 136 of them, just leaving 64 fronts to do. However the numbers have increased so I am off out in my new car to pick up some more pearlised papers, how exciting. I dont know if it is the trip to the craft shop or driving the car that is the most exciting.

Coffee and catchup with friends this afternoon followed by a stroll this evening, as much as I can. Then that will be my day done, oh my.

These pretty papers are called Favoured Flowers and are part of the Sale A Bration. You can actually get them for free when you place an order of £45. The papers are 12 x 12 and are double sided. Stella demonstrated how to make a card using these as well as a matching envelope.

You can be your own customer as well as share with your friends and family if this is what you prefer, just ordering now and again. Or you can hold parties, do demonstrations and shout it out to the world if you wish. I will be very happy to help you with whichever way you want to do it. Sunday

Good morning and the temperature has dropped again. It is a lot colder this morning, mr weatherman says we are having a cold spell prior to the snow arriving, really. Oh my, I dont like driving on snow so I wont be going too far if we do get some. We shall have to see.

Today I am back on to the wedding invites. Hoping to finish off preparing all the card fronts for those that I have left to do. That will then give me the numbers for the additional bits I need to purchase tomorrow, on a trip to the local craft shop.

As its Sunday it is a traditional roast beef lunch and all the trimmings so a busy day all in all.

Here are the cards that Anne made during our Sale a Bration Sunday last week using the Thanks a Bunch stamp set which is part of the Sale A Bration. When you spend £45 on an order you can get to pick this set, totally free. She teamed it up with some new papers (also part of the Sale A Bration) called Dandy Designs.

A friend had shared an image of another card made with the same stamp set created by Creative Bee Hive and I just had to have a go at making it myself. I haved used exactly the same stamp set, Thanks a Bunch, in different greens and turned the carrots upside down. A small circle mask was placed in the background prior to blending the sky to create a sun/moon.

Good afternoon, what a busy week it has been. I cant believe that it is already Friday, the end of the week. That went quickly. I have a lovely weekend planned so something to look forward to. It does involve wedding invitations so Katerina will be very pleased.

Yesterday we had a get together in the Craft Room to play with the one sheet wonder technique. This is where you have a sheet of card (can be A4, A5, 12x12, in fact any size). You then stamp over the card and when you are happy with your design, you chop it up and turn all the panels into cards. Here are some photos of what we all came up with.

We had a really lovely time, put the world to rights, laughed a lot and ate more cake. Well, it would be rude not to.

Our next get together is on Friday. We are having Festive Friday, making a start on the Christmas projects for December 2023. Why not join us, there is room for 10. Tuesday

Starting the new week with our Sale a Bration Sunday

I am not having much luck today with technology, not only did my facebook live not work out but it seems that this blog post didnt get posted yesterday either. oppps, apologies for being a day late.

Good morning and welcome to a brand new week. I do like Mondays as it gives me the feeling of a fresh start.

To start my week I have to go and do a little cleaning in the Craft Room and put it all back together as I had a Sale-A-Bration Sunday yesterday which was a full day in the Craft Room with lots and lots and lots of friends, it was amazing.

I forgot to take photos all day but here are a few.

I had baked, which went down well, oh my the Bakewell Tart Cake is so yummy and it is first one I have ever made, I shall make it again very soon.

Anne, Sallyann and Stella all came along and helped our throughout the day by doing a demonstration using some of the Sale-A-Bration products. I shall share these with you later in the week.

I cant thank Stella enough as she washed so many cups and plates and kept everyones cup topped up with teas, coffees and cake.

Having the help took all the stress and panic out of the day for me and its something I shall ask for at the next event.

We had a make a take, creating a panel card with the beautiful Fancy Flora papers. They really are amazing papers.

I didnt take too many photos of the day, next time I need to ask everyone to take a picture or two so that I can share it with you.

All is all it was a wonderful way to catch up with everyone and of course, everyone was able to catch up with each other, some folk not seeing others for a year or more.

On the day I was telling everyone about the joining offer which is the best I have ever seen.

Fancy Flora Designer Series Papers Make and Take

Good morning, a warmer start to the day but its so damp. We have flood alerts in Derby I have just discovered so I do hope we dont have too much rain.

Didnt the first week of the year go past quickly? I have been so busy getting everything ready for tomorrows day in the Craft Room, enjoying every minute of it. I believe lots of folk are coming in the morning (I do hope I have enough chairs) so if you are planning on a visit, I would suggest the afternoon.

I am baking today, I shall do my lemon cake, of course. A tea loaf which has been soaking all night and a new cherry bakewell cake. Fingers crossed it all works out.

Here is another card that has been made using the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper and this is the one we shall be making for the 'make and take' tomorrow.
