A few photos of everyone being very producutive ...

Thank you to everyone that came along and made it a really successful workshop.

A special thanks go to Pam and Molly and very BIG THANK YOU to Jayne and Karen.

Its starting to read like an award speach.

Cant wait for the next one which will be at the end of March.

Monday

Phew what a weekend

It was a hectic one. I was playing skivvy to Paul for most of the time but it was well worth it. The units are going up in the C room rather quickly as you can see in the picture.

My daughter is rather upset that I am about to change the wallpaper in this room. It currently has little dogs on it and it wont really match the rest of the room. It is my intention to put pastel pink wallpaper up. She has asked me to send her lots of cards with dogs on to make up for it - oppps. Sorry Sophia.

No cards to show you today as I am busy getting everything ready for the workshop this Saturday. Everything is all cut out and I am busy getting the project sheets ready.

I have been lucky enough to win some Blog Candy and cant wait for it to arrive.

Thanks for all the lovely comments you have been leaving.

Saturday

Cards for new arrivals

This week, in between doing lots of other things, I have been using the Bundle of Joy set of stamps. Here are two that I have made, just simple ones.

And then each time that I have made another one card, I have done something different, added extra little bits. I love this cute little set and will show you some more cards that I have created with it over the weekend.

We will be spending more time putting the craft room together today and I have to choose colour of wallpaper. The carpet is a thick purple so whilst I wanted a pink room, then changed it to pink and brown, I guess it will have to be pink and purple ish.... mmm not so sure.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my blog and hope you have a great day, whatever you are doing

Friday

My new craft room

.....well nearly.

Had a delivery from Ikea today and here it is. This is going to be my wall of shelving from top to bottom

Here is the room which is getting ready for the units . The bed has been sold and will be collected on Sunday. All the games are going to be given away/put on e-bay. Some of them are over 40 years old and in perfect condition. Paul, who doesn't like to throw anything away, just in case, told me to let them go. Must do it quickly before he changes his mind LOL.

And these are the first of my stash, which has to go. I know that I don't have enough storage space for everything so I am selling off a lot of my stash. It will be hard to decide what stays and what goes but after 4 years, I think I know which techniques I prefer to use when making cards. I haven't used these punches for a while so £20 o.n.o. for the lot, plus postage if they are not collected.

Look what the postman left

Thank you Issy for this lovely card.

It is so nice to find something this beautiful waiting for me at the end of a busy day. It has spurred me on to make and send a few cards out, in the post, instead of sending e-mails.

Do many of us send out quick hellos??

Retail Therapy

Well sometimes, it just has to be done.

Went out last weekend to Sir Stampalot and did a detour on the way home to Kims Crafts, okay so it wasnt a detour as such but we wanted to go.

Had a fantastic day and here are the pictures to prove it.

Pam, P.Ann and finally my goodies, cant wait to play

Thursday

Cards from friends

What a busy time it is for me, thought I would be slowing down after Christmas but havent done yet. I am off work for a couple days and hope to catch up with lots of outstanding things that I have....that doesnt mean housework either.

We are in the process of converting a bedroom into a craft room. Who's lucky? ME. So far we have taken down the built in units that have been there for about 8 years, sold the bed on e-bay and designed my wall of storage. We went to Ikea to order all the units to be delivered this weekend only to find out that they do next day delivery, which wasnt what we wanted. If it isnt delivered the next day you get charged a storage fee, so got to go back to Ikea on Friday.

Apart from it all being exciting, I cant find anything. My bedroom and the other one is a store and I cant believe how changing one room can disrupt the whole house....but this isnt a complaint.

I have received some lovely photographs of cards that people have been making using Stampin Up products so I thought I would share these with you today.

These are from Debbie and I just love the colours.

This is one that Lesley has made.....lovely

I will put the others on here over the next few days.

Hope you have a lovely day, whatever you are doing and thank you for all the lovely comments

Saturday

Last of the blooming with beauty...for now

Here is the last of the blooming with beauty set for a while as I have other cards that I want to share with you.

I have mentioned how I did this window in the card in another post but, if anyone needs help with it, please let me know.

I stamped out a second image onto card stock and cut around it so that I could decoupage the front. My preference for card shapes and sizes has changed, yet again. I really do like 4" or 5" square cards these days. I am sure it will change again in a few weeks.

Would just like to say a big thank you to everyone for leaving comments on my blog.

Wednesday

Blooming with Beauty, again

I do hope you are not getting fed up with seeing cards that I have made using this stamp. Apologies if you are.

These two cards are just waiting for me to put the sentiments on. I tend to make quite a few cards without sentiments so that on special occassions (or birthdays that I have forgotten) I can just add on whatever is appropriate.

Monday

Some more Blooming with Beauty

This card has been made using three of the 5 stamps from the set as well as the scalloped circle punch and the 1 3/4 inch punch.

I stamped the flowers and the pot onto some extra cardstock and cut it out, so that I could decoupage it onto the front of the card.

When the card is closed, the bee can be seen.

Sunday

Oh So Lovely

I do keep going back to this set. Here are a few cards that I managed to make over Christmas, whilst the girls were on the dance mat and Paul was busy with his drums.

I wanted to use the set to make a matching birthday card and envelope for a friend, which I did, but then I just carried on making more

Saturday

Happy Birthday Millie

Our granddaughter was 5 years old yesterday and this is the card that I made. I used the Zoophabet that I had been desperate to purchase and then left sat in the packet, unopened, for months.

Friday

A week of Blooming with Beauty

I am now starting to get myself sorted after Christmas. I am still struggling with the getting up early for work. I have made it in to the office a few minutes early each day so I guess another week will sort me out.

I have been playing with the Blooming with Beauty set, page 40 of the SU catalogue. I have fallen in love with it. You get 5 stamps in the set and at the price of £22.95 plus p+p I think it is a bargin. I thought I would show you, over the next few days, some of the cards that I have made.

Starting with a few black and white ones. I have used SU black gingham ribbon on these.

The price of the ribbon is £5.25 plus p+p for approx 13.7m. Now that is a lot of ribbon. If you would like just one or two metres instead, please let me know and I will sort something out for you.

A splash of colour on this one, with a matching envelope. I have also used Certainly Celery at £3.95 plus p+p for approx 13.7 m. I have quite a few more cards to show you but, if you would like more information about anything on my blog, please get in touch tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com

If you would like to purchase this set please get in touch.

Wednesday

Still no cards

The girls have returned, the house is quite but pongy.  The new wooden TV stand is being varnished and waxed and phew, what a smell.  It should really be done outside but the stand is too heavy to move.  I have that many yankee candles lit I am not sure if I am helping or hindering.  Oh well.

I have decided to make cards using one stamp set each week, a bit difficult at the moment with the smell but hopefully by the weekend I will have some cards to show you.

I have been having a great big problem with my e-mail account.  So much so that I am changing the address.  I will be letting everyone know over the next few days what it is. Hopefully it will stop all the spam e-mails going out.  I do apologise to anyone and everyone that has been receiving these.

Sunday

Where did it go?

The holiday that is. Wow it just flew by. No cards today I am afraid. Took all the girls to the airport, along with extra luggage, new coats and so many handbags. They all had a great time in England and I think they will be back.

The house is soooo quiet now, seems strange. I will post some cards tomorrow to show you what friends have been making recently, until then....

Thursday

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year to everyone who reads my blog.

I hope that you aren't suffering this morning, after last night's parties. We spent a really nice evening with the girls, looking at photos, watching films and playing the drums. Yes I did say playing the drums. At midnight we all went outside although it was -2 and saw the amazing fireworks that lit up the sky. It was beautiful. A magical moment that I will treasure.
