Sunday

A post on Sunday

Good morning, did you remember to put the clocks forward last night?  I always get up confused on a Sunday following a time change as some things show the new time, some show the old time and we eat at funny times too.   I shall certainly have a little nanny nap later to catch up.  Not as warm this morning either brrrrrr.

We had a lovely crafty night together last Friday, thank you to all the ladies that came as well as a thank you to all the ladies that came during the month of March to everything that I planned.  It was lovely to see you and to catch up.  I shall be starting to decorate the craft room with an Easter Theme (for the whole of April) tomorrow.  The dates for the events in April are below (if you read my blog on a telephone, you cant see the right hand side with lots of information)

Friday April 5th Christmas card night
Thursday April 18th Crafty night
Saturday April 20th Crafty morning
Friday April 26th Crafty night
Sunday April 28th Crafty morning

I had a bit of a play a few days ago with a new embossing folder that I got during Sale a Bration.

I ran some Whisper White card through the embossing machine, I did dampen it first though as I didnt want the card to crack.  Once it was dry (5 minutes, I am not too patient) I coloured it in using Blendabilities and some ink taken from the lid of Highland Heather.  I love the way it turned out.  I havent put a sentiment on it yet as I wanted to share it with you first.  This folder is still available just for today with Sale a Bration.

Really, there is an image for ending of Sale a Bration *laughing*.  I shall be placing my very last order this evening for this month. If there are any last minute items you want to purchase to enable you to get a Sale a Bration product FREE, please let me know later today.  If you just want some ribbon, embellishments, pack of card or just an ink pad, please do get in touch and I shall order it for you.  If the total amount comes up to the price of £45 I shall grab some 12 x 12 papers and split them between everyone that orders.....

Yesterday I went out with Mum, Sis, niece and a friend of many years for afternoon tea.  We had a lovely time, here we are.

The diet went out of the window.  Mind you,  I didnt eat dinner last night so that much have counted for something towards the diet.

Well I had best go and start my day.  Quite a lot of chores to do today as I have a busy week ahead and I love busy weeks when the chores are up to date. Thank you for having a read and I wish you a lovely Mothering Sunday xx

I also spent half an hour doing my water colour practising which I found relaxing.

This morning I am in the craft room making the final adjustments, cleaning and sorting ready for tonights get together and then I shall bake.  Obviously this afternoon I hope to be out in the garden.

All Geared Up

Good morning and what a bright and sunny start to the day.  Not too sure about the temperature outside but the sky is blue with a few clouds and a bit of a breeze.  Hopefully it will last and I can get the tools out again to try and do a bit of gardening (we) that is.

Stampin' Up! have announced some new storage for their ink pads, pens, blends, reinkers etc. etc.  This does look really exciting and as from 1st April we can order.  If you would like a little more information, please get in touch and I can tell you more.

It does look nice though doesnt it.

Are you free on Friday night (tomorrow) and would you like to come along to a craft class?
I have had a couple of cancellations so there are spare seats.  We shall make two cards, eat cake and drink tea/coffee.  Lots of crafty chatter, laughter and a great evening is usually had by all.  The price is £8 per person and includes coloured instruction sheets for to take away, your card kits which are all cut out for you and plenty of refreshments.  Please let me know if you would like to come along.

Mr. Blogger hasnt been very well this week and it seems that a few of my 'programmed' posts havent gone out, something else for me to look into.

I can share this card with you though

It was made using the Geared Up stamp set.  I saw something extremely similar in made by MMaike with a German sentiment on the Stampin' Up! UK site and just knew I had to copy it. I loved making it.  There are a variety of dies, all from the matching framelits, a few coloured self adhesive coloured pears, marker pen dots and the gold twine.  If you would like to purchase this set you can get a FREE Sale a Bration item with it but be quick, there are only 3 days left before Sale a Bration finishes.

Well I am off to make some Thank You cards today, as best I can and if all goes well, I will made a video too.....get me.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day.

Happy Birthday Robert

Good morning.  I actually have that 'Friday feeling' today, something I havent felt for an awful long time.  Hubby has gone off to work and today I must do a few chores in the house, as best I can.

It is Robert's birthday today and here is the card I made for him

I loved doing this.  The colours are all SU colours taken from the inkpad and used as water colours.  Of course those big number dies again.  I didnt realise that they were no longer available but if you need a large number for anything, let me know and we can get some cut out for you.  Then we have the stitched labels that are smashing, a great set to invest in.  The clouds have been created by using bashfull blue ink and a cloud stencil.  I brushed over the stencil a few times before moving on and repeating.

Thank you for having a read today, I hope you have a fantastic Friday.  See you after the weekend, Tracey x

Spring is in the air

Good morning.  Mr weatherman has said we are going to get up to 13 degrees today but it will still be cloudy.  Yesterday we had 19 degrees in our garden which was lovely.

I achieved my 1/2 stone award at Slimmers World which I am really happy about.  Now I shall take another few weeks to try and loose the same and this time,  it is off for life.  I cant tell you the wonderful receipes Paul and I have found on this new journey of mine.  We eat fresh fish once a week, beef jerk, a few different pasta recipes and steak once a week too.  I am really enjoying it and it doesnt seem like a diet at all.

Hospital visit earlier in the week was upsetting but the lady I spoke to made sense.  I will go again in 5 weeks to see how I am coping with this big loss in my life.  Whilst I was there I saw the finished animals made out of willow.  They had been doing these since last October when we first started visiting the hospital.  It was lovely to see them finally finished.

Then Paul took me to B&M to get a few pressies that we need and after that we had to call in to Home Bargains.  They had some jars that I could just decoupage if I had all the right materials, which I am starting to collect.  Here is one item in the craft room that I decoupaged.

There is still one place left on Saturday 18th May in the afternoon for the decoupage class.  Having already done this I can tell you that it really is worth it.

Here is a card that Diane has made using the Bloom by Bloom stamp set.  It is a great set and I have a few more samples of this to show you later in the week.

The craft room is starting to look a little more like Spring.

well I have to do a little shopping now and then get ready for a crafty get together tonight.  Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful day.  Tracey x
