Hello Dear Friend kit final card and a box with FREE papers

Good morning.  With the wonderful weather forecast I am hoping it is another morning in the garden before an afternoon of crafting....sounds perfect. As I have had a lie in, I should hopefully have a little more energy than the last few days.

I managed to finish the last card off in the Stampin' Up! Hello Dear Friend card kit

I did add some gems and a bit of glitter to these.  In fact one or two may already be in the post.

It was a friends birthday yesterday and I got her a box of chocolates from M&S.  I think anything from M&S is a little bit of a treat so I decided to make a box to put them in.  This is what I created using FREE sale a bration papers.

One of the advantages of using double sided papers is that the box is just as pretty on the inside as it is on the outside.

There are only 3 days left to get your hands on some wonderful Sale a Bration products.  Only 3 days left to grab 200 sheets of Stampin' Up! 6x6 papers in every colour that Stampin' Up! have.

Please do get in touch if you would like a little more information as I am always happy to help.

Tuesday

Hello Dear Friend - All inclusive Card Kit

Good morning.  The weather forecast isnt the best for today for Derby with rain and strong wind but I do hope to carry on outside and get another couple of pots sorted.

Yesterday I got some seeds from the moss rose.  I had to look up an image of the seeds on the old internet as I wasnt sure what I was looking for.

The seeds are smaller than small but I found the bit that had the seed head attached.  I pulled that away from the stem and very carefully squoze out the seeds into a box.  I have seen where I need to mix these with sand before putting it into the soil so I get an even spread.  Well I have thousands.  I will start them off to see how they go and if there seems to be too many I will happily give them away to friends.  They are a lovely flower.

So today is a busy day in the Craft Room, one of my favourite places to be.  I have some fruity cards to make, birthday cards for March and Mothers Day cards.  Quite looking forward to it.

I had a bit of play yesterday with a kit.  It is so easy to use, everything (and I mean everything) is inside the box and you can create lots of cards. As well as the card bases you get the matching envelopes, a stamp set, the card fronts, ink pad, twine, thread, dimensionals, glue dots, printed vellums and the printed elements.

Lots of pieces left over to make more cards and this is something I will finish off today.  The cost of this is £30 which I think is great value as the ink pad, stamping block and the useful stamp set will last for years to come.   If you would like to order this, please contact me for more information or just click on the 'shop here' image below.

Thank you for having a read today.  I do hope you have a lovely day, Tracey x

P.S. As I am in the Craft Room all day today, should you need help with anything, have any queries etc., please feel free to contact me.  I am always happy to help x

Monday

Mondays garden update and Christmas cards

A new start to a new week.  Can you believe it is the last week of February?

Yesterday I managed to spend a few hours outside in the garden and have tided up the area around the craft room and kitchen/conservatory door.  We have quite a bit of outside area so getting it ready for the spring I think is going to be wonderful.  I am not a gardener, Paul, my hubby is. I feel so guilty giving instructions each year, move this, do that, cut the other etc. etc. that I decided it is time that I did things myself.   So I started off with the sweet peas and collected the last of the seeds.

Then I moved to the moss rose, cleared them all out, gathered the seeds and left a few shooting plants in the boxes.

The first hydrangea got a trim too.  We found this in poorly corner last year and it looks like it is waking up.

There are a few stray pots so they were cleaned and moved to the side wall of the craft room, by the gate where you come into the garden.  I hope it isnt too long before we have some colour in them.

I have this bit of garden outside the craft room.  I see that a small white plant is blooming (no idea what it is called), as well as a couple of winter pansies? which seem to be alive and up against the wall are wall flowers that we put in last year from seed. These have all been staked up.   Lots of dead plants have gone, cut down and discarded.  I also took out a lot of weeds (I do hope they were weeds).

Then there is my camellia tree/bush.  I took a close up shot of this as it has 100s of buds on it.  I am just keeping my fingers crossed that they will flower and not drop off due to the frost.

So a good few hours was spent outside, just what is needed for a Sunday in good weather.  Today I start on a few more pots, there are plenty of them.  Just a little bit at a time, in between the rain showers.

Friday night was our Christmas card and chatter night and how lovely it was to meet up over Zoom.  I do believe that it wont be too long before we can meet up in person and I am so excited by it.

I managed to get 6 cards prepared, all the same as this one here.  A very different type of card for me but I am so pleased that I am getting the time to try different things.  It is a retired stamp set on crumb cake card.  I used the new blending brushes and soft suede ink to edge everything.  All matted on gold card and soft suede base card.  I tried the new adhesive for the wording.  You stick the double sided tape onto your card, run it all through the die cutting machine and then peel off the back to stick down.  Oh it was so easy and I cant believe I havent been using this before now.  As I said, I am liking trying out new things.

Only 7 days left to grab a Sale a Bration offer.  Only 7 days left to join Stampin' Up! at an amazing price, getting 200 FREE designer series double sided papers, FREE delivery and loads of support.  I am happy to help you with either of these offers if you dont already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator you can talk to.  All the details of where you can find me are below.

I am off for my first walk shortly, trying to see if I can walk twice a day now instead of once.  I am certainly feeling the benefits of the fresh air.  Thank you for having a read.  Tracey x

Sunday

A slow start to Sunday

What a lovely start to the day, a bit of a lie in, lovely weather and no plans to rush around to do anything.  I do have lots to do just no pressure to do them all today so I will work my way through my list bit by bit.

Yesterday we had a couple of hours on Zoom having a crafty get together.  It was wonderful, there were so many of us and a very nice time was had by all.  A big shout out to all the folk that came along, thank you, it really lifted my spirits.  We all had a go at making a 'Double Z card' this is what I am told it is called. I saw one on a blog by Anne Hile in America and fell in love with it so I had to share it with everyone.

I changed the measurements to accommodate our C6/A6 envelopes but it still worked out perfectly.  I used the Art Gallery bundle for my card and the other ladies used lots of other bundles, stamp sets, papers that we have a great mixture of various coloured cards, all of them stunning.  If you would like to come along to our next Zoom get together, you are more than welcome to.  Look below for details of the calendar.  I have listed all the products I used at the bottom and you are more that welcome to purchase these.  If you need help with an order, I am around all day today so get in touch and I will be very happy to help you.

The garden is starting to spring into life however, not as many bulbs have appeared compared to what we normally have.  We have now discovered why.  Paul found a bucket, behind the greenhouse, full of bulbs.

We forgot to plant them oooppss.  Well they will do what they will this year and I have made a note on my calendar for planting them in the ground later this year.  I also wrote 'behind the greenhouse'.

There are only 7 days left to join Stampin' Up! and grab this amazing deal

It is always an amazing offer when you join Stampin' Up! just more so before the end of the month.  If you would like to find out more, please do get in touch.

I am off to gather a few more seeds from the garden.  I have plenty of papers to make little seed packets to pop some in to give to friends over the next couple of weeks too.  Enjoy your Sunday and thank you so much for having a read.  Tracey x

I am just trying out a calendar for the next couple of months.  Please do let me know what you think.
