DAY TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY SIX - Mix and Match

Good morning, well what a change in weather, lets hope the sun finds it way out soon.

Here is a card I made for a lovely little chappie who was Christened recently.  The girls (my daughters) asked me to make a couple and this is one of them.

I am calling this my mix and match card as I have used an old stamp from my stash as well as all current inks, colours, blending pens and blending brushes from Stampin' Up!  I do a lot of mixing and matching.

I stamped the little Chappie on Basic White card in Memento ink. Coloured him in with Stampin’ Up! Blending pens and then created the sky with a small blending brush and boho blue ink.
I cut the stamped image card down to make a thinner panel to sit in the middle of the base card. The base card is also boho blue, making it all coordinate and work well together. The sentiment was generated on the computer.
I will be creating a few birthday cards in various colours as a few have been requested.

It is Derby Dabblers next Friday night. You are most welcome to come along and join in the fun if you have a couple of hours free. Do get in touch with me if you need any further information.

I shall be placing an order on Thursday with Stampin' Up! If you would like to come along to our kit night on 11th October I shall be very happy to order your kit this Thursday and have it ready and waiting for you at the get together. Do get in touch if this is something you would like me to do for you.

Thank you for having a read today. I do hope you have have a super Sunday. Tracey x

DAY TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY FIVE

Good morning and what a lovely morning it is on our little sojourn.  We moved to the East coast of the island for a few days and are staying in a lovely hotel right on the sea front.  We have tried to get in the sea a couple of times but the places we went to are full on rocks, bolders and dangerous stones so we had to give it up as a bad job.

Whilst the beach looks amazing and looks so sandy, it is in fact full of tiny stones and pebbles and doesnt feel so go standing on it plus, you sink in as you walk.  It caused a few laughs.  The pool is freezing cold, really I mean it, it is.  There are at least 500 people in the hotel, two wonderful and amazing pools and they remain empty, all day long.  The air temperature is just not enough to keep the water warm.

The hotel really is something else, there are four restaurants, so much green grass and grounds and surprises around every corner.  I can certainly recommend it if anyone ever wants to go to the East Coast of Cyprus.

We are packing up and going back to our apartment today via nanny cuddles of course.  If I have missed the little one after a couple of nights I wonder how I will feel for a few months, yikes.

Here is another wonderful card created by Deborah M.

Deborah was one of the ladies that received a handmade envelope with base cards and double sided 6"x6" Splendid Autumn Designer Series Papers inside.  This is one of the cards she created,  isnt it lovely

These papers really are so easy to work with and I am so lucky to have so many friends that are coming up with lots of ideas on how to use the papers.

The reason for our few days away was to attend a music festival that is organised on the promenade over a very long stretch.  There were 31 different groups playing, over 200 musicians and it was all free.  The music was brilliant, the atmosphere was wonderful and it was such a great evening, even if we did get lost.

We saw a lot of groups, did a bit of walking, a bit of sitting and when we had enough we just wander off the beach front expecting to be in a place we knew.  Goodness we were totally lost, somewhere we had never been before but we popped into a hotel, explained the situation and they organised a taxi.  We caught the taxi to where we had left our car and only discovered that we were in a totally new resort, that had been built up over the last few years that we had no knowledge of.  How amazing.  Anyway, here are a few photos

We are already planning on returning again next year.

It is another slow and easy day again today, may even get the paint brushes out this afternoon, rain is forecast.

Thank you so much for having a read and should you need any help with Stampin' Up! orders, event or just fancy looking at something new, please, do let me know.  Always happy to help. s

DAY TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY SIX - Splendid Autumn DSP along with Aunts Birthday Card

Good morning, I cant believe that it has been a week since I sat down to write a post.  The days go by so very quickly.  I saw the 'dont forget to play' image on my travels around the internet so pinched it as I thought it was lovely as well as being very true.

Everything is going well and it's wonderful spending time with the girls and their hubbies.  Being with little Alexandros is amazing.  I have started nanny duties and love it.  I cant describe the pleasure he brings when he smiles and laughs.

i haven't been able to do any crafting since I arrived but I do keep looking at the bits and pieces I have on my craft shelf which is inside a wardrobe.  Fingers crossed I can get a little time to create something soon.

Here is a card that I made recently and it was sent out to a very special Aunty who had a birthday a couple of days ago.

This is called an Easel card and uses lots of wonderful products from Stampin' Up!
There is a little bit of blending, some splattering using one of the water painters, stamping of the flowers, colouring them in with inks and then die cutting them out. The embellishments are just a few from the 100s of sequins that I have.
I really must make more of this type of card as I really enjoyed making this one.

I wanted to share another card that was made using the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Papers from Stampin' Up!  These are the papers that I put in an envelope along with co-ordinating card and asked the Stamperettes if they would make something with it.  Julie made this one and she did say that she didnt want to waste any of it.

There are still lots of other cards to share with you using these wonderful papers which can be found in the  September - December Mini Catalogue .

DAY TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY EIGHT - Splendid Autumn Designer Series Papers and new catalogues

Good morning and what a morning it has been so far.  Can you oversleep when you are on holiday? well if you can, I did.  It has been such a slow start to the day but I guess that is what holidays are for.

Before coming away I left an envelope for lots of Stamperettes which had some of the wonderful new papers inside them called Splendid Autumn and a couple of card bases.  I asked if they would create a card or two and Anne certainly did that.

This is her first card and its superb. She has used Lemon Lolly as her card base, the new papers. Splendid Autumn as well as some Gorgeous Grape card.

These papers, along with lots of other new papers can be found in the September - December Mini Catalogue which has just been released.

If you click on the image below a new window should open up and you can have a browse through the brochure

Not only has this mini catalogue been released but Stampin' Up! have released a Scrapbooking brochure today also.  Again, clicking on the picture below will open it up for you to browse through.
