Happy Birthday Tricia

Good morning. We decided that it was time to take a very cautious trip to see Sophia and Katerina.   After a surprise in the airport *waving to Elaine who is now with her daughter* we had the perfect flight with only a bump or two.  Landing a few hours later and having worn a mask for 10 hours I got my first hug with Katerina.  I didn’t want to let her go, the tears wouldn’t stop.  She had been to do a COVID test shortly before seeing us just to be sure.  We then went and met Marcy who hid behind her mum with her tail between her legs, bless her (that did change yesterday when she came to visit us).

Sophia came yesterday morning and as she had been at a wedding the evening before, she went to do her COVID test prior coming to us.  We just had to say hello and keep our distance for half an hour until she got her results.....it was painful.  She got the all clear so it was hugs and tears again.  We also got to meet boo and fif and boo bit me. Well it was a nip but I was close to her mum lol  She also had a nip at Paul so I wasn’t alone.  Photos of everyone to follow on another day.

I thought I would share a different type of card for me, all using the Artistic Impressions Stamp set and dies from Stampin’ Up!

I had a great time making this and love the way it turned out, I do hope that the receipient likes it.

Birthday cards for two sweet girls

Good morning. It is very cloudy here today but I hope it is warm enough to dry my washing as I will have quite a lot hopefully blowing in the wind.  You cant beat clothes that have been dried in the fresh air.

A couple of cute cards that were made recently for two very special young ladies.  Charliegh turned 7 and Willow turned 6.

They are both cute stamps that have been coloured in with alcohol markers, Stampin' Up! Blend Pens.  The sky was created using blending brushes and a very old stencil with a pale blue ink.  The grass was again created using blending brushes and Old Olive ink for the little tufts of grass.  The image was stamped once onto the card and then again onto Shimmery White Card which I find great for alcohol markers.  The sentiments were created on the computer and then Fresh Freshia card was used to mat the main image and the sentiments.  I do hope you like them.  I loved creating these despite the amount of time they took.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful day.  Tracey x

Forever Fern Birthday Card

Good morning, a later start in the day than Monday, phew.  Even though the dog woke me early and I had an hours nap in the afternoon, I was still in bed by 9pm.

Yesterday I had a doctors appointment.  This was the first appointment I could get and it was made 15 days ago.  I  had to wait 14 days to talk to a doctor over the telephone,  Oh I cant see a doctor, only talk to them.  I am so disappointed with this but it seems that this is now the common thing when I have spoken to friends.  I was told I could get in touch with either 111 if I wanted urgent advice or I could have called 999.  Doesnt sound quite right to me.  The doctor was lovely and wants to see me today, so that is positive.

Here is a  birthday card that got posted out recently and I hope it has now been received.

Using the Forever Fern stamps along with Granny Apple Green, Old Olive and Pretty Peacock ink and card.  First, second and third generation stamping.   This is a wonderful stamp set and can be used in so many different ways.  I have listed below (at the end) all the items I used to make this card.

Below are details of what is happening at Stampin' Up! at the moment.

An Art Gallery Thank You card

Good morning, up very early today.  4.30am Frankie started to cry.  This is usually to let us know she wants to go out.  Oh,  Frankie is our grand daughters little dog and we have looked after her over the weekend.  So hubby gets up and goes out with her.  They both get back to bed around 5am but by this time I am already up and having my first cuppa.  I will be needing my nanny nap later today. I cant have Frankie on my knee as she hurts my legs too much so she sits on a chair at the side of me, especially in the craft room.

I have used the Art Gallery stamp set to create this card.

It is a wonderful two step stamping set.  I have stamped the flower heads in Polished Pink ink with first and second generation ink to give it a two tone look.  The leaves have been done with second and third generation Mossy Meadow ink and it is a Thank You card that has been sent out in the post.  I added a few of the gems that you can get from Stampin' Up! just to finish it all off.

We shall have another In Color Club starting at the end of September, is this something that you might be interested in?  These are the In Colors from Stampin' Up! for this year

You will get an ink pad, a stamp n write marker, 4 sheets of A4, 8 sheets of 6x6 Designer Series Paper, 2m of ribbon and 20 self adhesive dots of one colour, every month for 5 months so that by the end of the 5 months, you have a complete set of In Colors.

Please do get in touch with me, details are below, if this is something you would be interested in or if you have any queries about this.

Now is one of the best times to join Stampin' Up!   Not only do you get £130 worth of products for £99 delivered free of charge to your home, you can also add a bundle to your order, FREE of charge.  Here is a list of all the bundles that are available to choose from.

Wednesday

Blend pens, isopropryl alcohol and natures harvest dies

Good morning,  a bit of a later start to the day today.  Paul is taking me to look for a new front door.  Since moving into this house we have decorated every room, nook and crany apart from the hallway and the first thing to do is to get a new front door.  We may have to have some building works done to get a door fitted so we shall do it bit by bit.  Front door first.

I had a play with some blending pens, isopropyl alcohol and vellum.  I had tried this technique a few times before but it never turned out the way I wanted it to so I put it all to one side.  Then my wonderful Stampin' Up! friend did a little video tutorial on how to do the technique and her explanation was perfect and it led me to be able to practise again and come up with this.  It also helped crafting with friends at the same time, so inspiring.

So, how did I do it, I have used a piece of vellum to scribble over with my blends in 3 different colours, Polished Pink, Fresh Freshia and Soft Succulent.  I then used a paint brush and isopropyl alcohol to move the colour around and when it was dry, I got the blend pens out again and the isopropyl alcohol and I repeated this several times until I was happy with the result.

I got a piece of A4  Basic White card and cut it in half.  I scored one of the pieces in half to create my card base.  With the piece that was remaining, I cut in half again and took 1/2" off around the two sides.  Using the Rectangle Stitched Dies, I cut out a stitched rectangle.   I added tape to the reverse side of the edge of the rectangle and stuck my decorated vellum on to it.   I then added the other 1/4 sheet of basic white card over the vellum so that it was sandwiched in between the two.  I put 3D foam pads on the back of that and stuck it down to my card base.

Taking the Nature's Harvest set I cut out one of the flowers and stuck that over the vellum, making it the central point of the card and I love it.  No sentiment as yet as I am not sure when it will be used but I am so pleased I made it.

Joining Stampin' Up! has always been a great thing to do.  Not only do you get £130 worth of products for £99 but you get FREE delivery of everything you choose,  to your home (or wherever you wish to have it delivered).  You also get access to lots of groups on facebook for inspiration, help and advice.  You get to join my team where I am always available to help, a demonstrator web site that is free for 2 months, lots of training if you want it.  If you would like to join and get discounts on your orders alone, then that is great too.  Either way, from now until the end of September, you not only get all the above but you can choose one of the following on top of everything else.

If this is something that you have been considering doing and you would like to have a chat about this, please feel free to get in touch.  I would love to have you on my team x
