Tuesday Twitterings

Time is just flying by so quickly that I haven't had time to sit on the computer and update the blog....so apologies. Well the weekend saw Kataerina and Anita come for a few days
Friday night we went out for a bite and here is the pudding that the girls wanted

They did nearly finish it though. So that was Friday night.
Saturday was a busy day - the girls got up late and we went into town, here we are on our way.
Sunday was Mother's Day and I was spoilt. It was the first time that Katerina was here on Mother's Day, I got 3 cards, flowers and chocolate. Robert and Natalie came to visit in the afternoon with the grandchildren so it was a lovely, busy day. These photos are for Sophia and Christiana to see what we got up to.

No cards at the moment to show you as I have to go and take some photographs, my next job. Have a lovely evening and thanks for having a read.

Tuesday Twitterings

Good morning from a rather warm Derby. Has Spring sprung? I hope so and if that was Winter, I believe that I got through it rather well.

I had a few surprises this weekend. We have a lovely Camelia plant just outside the kitchen window. Last November it had lots of buds on it but then mum told me that they were leaf buds, which was disspointing but hay, look at the photo below
Those leaf buds are all opening out to be flowers and there are going to be lots and lots of them. You may have to click on the picture to see it more clearly.

I have been having a little moan to hubby (do you like that, my hubby? For those that dont know, I am very recently married so calling Paul hubby is a little strange) anyway, my little moan is about plugging in the iron. Our house is rather old and you have to get onto your knees to plug anything in as all the plug sockets are practically on the floor. Now I have a dickey knee and with the extra weight I have put on, getting to plug the iron in is a little bit of a battle.....I know what you are thinking. You think that this is a brilliant excuse not to do the ironing, well I can tell you, that isnt the case, honest lol. So Paul has done this
He has put me a plug socket in my drawer in the bedroom so that I dont have to bend down to plug the iron in, it's so easy now and I have no excuse for not having done the ironing grrrrrrr. Thanks you hon.
Saturday I went on an all day scrapbook page class in Melton Mowbray and had a wonderful time. I met up with Pam and Tracy and we spent the day doing a couple of pages, lots of giggles and inspiration. Cant wait until next time.
Here are Pam and Tracy busy at work
and this is a close up of Tracy, with the sticky backed pear that she decided to flick up in the air....but if you look at the picture closely, you will see where it landed
Well thats my twittering for today. Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day, whatever you are up to.

Saturday

Sunday and a little treat for me

I decided to treat myself to some fresh flowers and a lovely little jug to put them in. I do like pretty things and I had forgotten the pleasure it brings not only treating myself but having a little smile everytime I look at them on the table. I am not brilliant at flower arranging but, I dont really care, they look pretty to me.
Today I am hoping to do a little bit of catch up, starting with some blogs that I have neglected for a while and to answer a few emails. So I have my cuppa in hand and ready for the off.

Did I show you these cards, I dont think I did.
These were the second cards we did at the make and take at the SU afternoon last month. Using Island Indego and Lucky Limeade Card, we used the same coloured inks as well as Melon Mambo or Rose Red or Real Red for a bit of a contrast. Stamped the circles over the Whisper White card with an extra one or two cut out to add a bit of depth. The sentiments were all adorned with one of the In Colour brads. Everyone had a great time making this card and I think that they can be for the guys as well as the girls.

Unfortunately there wont be a crafty week this week, so sad. I have told just about everyone and hopefully this will be rearranged for the beginning of May. April is such a busy month for everyone.

Well thanks for having a read this Sunday morning, have a fantastic day

It's the weekend

Just a quick post as I am off out for the day, terrible arent I, out again and lots of stampin up goodies need to be delivered. I am so so sorry about that but I will get them out soon, I promise. If you fancy a cuppa around 5, you are most welcome.

At Christmas I always buy dad a box of biscuits and of course, its always M&S Biscuits. This year they had some wonderful tins in so I purchased one for dad, I know mum has some biccys too but I did say to him, could I have the empty tin when he has done with it.

Well here it is
the empty tin of biscuits, isnt it wonderful? or am I just sad? I cant help it, I like pretty things.

Have a great day and I will catch up with you with a proper post tomorrow cause I have lots and lots of cards to share with you, as well as other bits of news.

Thanks for having a read and please.........say hello.

Thursday

Weekend away part 2 and some more cards

The weekend is nearly here but where did the week go. I wonder why it speeds by so quickly yet 20 odd years ago it seemed to go so slowly....how life changes. Anyway, here are a couple more pictures from my weekend away.

Paul got me a lovely set from Laura Ashley at Christmas, a bag, an A4 box, pens, books etc. etc. all mataching, which I love. Here is the bag which has inspired me to make some of these cards
I have used very vanilla and black card with the Sale A Bration stamp set Fresh Vintage. There is still another few weeks for you to get your hands on one of the Sale a Bration sets, just place an order for £45 and take your pick. Just give me a call on 01332 721877 to find out more and dont forget, you can have everything delivered right to your door.

Here are the cards individually, so you can have a closer look.

This one is stamped directly onto Very Vanilla Card. The insert is some Black card with a piece of Very Vanilla on top of it.

This has been stamped onto very vanilla and then adhered to a piece of black card. Both of these were then adhered to a very vanilla base card.
The final card was again stamped onto very vanilla but adhered straight onto a black base card.

I am really pleased with them, hope you like them too.

Thanks for having a read

Monday

A weekend away part 1 and a card

What a wonderful weekend I have just had with some fantastic ladies. There have been lots of laughter which is a great tonic, tons and tons of crafting, a little shopping and a few mishaps. I cant wait for the next one, just 8 months to go.

Whilst I was waiting to be picked up, yes it was door to door service with a brilliant driver, I noticed these little blighters So Spring really must be just around the corner. Then it was off we went to Peterborough via Melton Mowbray, where I shall be returning this Saturday. We got into Peterborough just in time for lunch
and then the fun began. We had a lovely lunch, a wander around a couple of shops and then went on to meet our other weekend buddies. More photos to follow later in the week as I dont want to bore you.
I cant make a post without a picture of a card can I so, how about this.
I believe that Sue made this and it was on the display table at the crafty day a couple of weeks ago. Well I still have boxes and boxes from the crafty day all piled up in the craft room so tonight, I shall be trying to empty a few, empty my weekend case and have myself a really early night.
Thanks for having a read and dont forget to leave a comment so that I know you visited.
