Monday

Monday Morning and another start to another week

Good morning and I hope you are more excited about the start of your week than I am.

Mr. Blogger is sure up to something because yesterday I had over 365 people visit my blog huh?  Normally there about 90 hits per day so this sudden surge makes me very suspicious but hay, if so many people did visit, thank you *waving as I type*.

So here we are, crafty week.  If you fancy making a couple of cards this week, I have a few places free on Thursday and one place on Friday.  More details can be found on the "events" tab at the top of my blog.

Its also stamperettes week this week, that is where two lovely groups of ladies all decide on what Stampin' Up! goodies they want to choose from and boy, it really is a tough decision as there are so many fantastic SU products.

Fancy joining the SU team, its the last few days of signing up and getting free papers for the next six months and, it is so easy to join.  Its all electronic now so we can do it via email, links and the phone.  Its a great opportunity to miss if this is something that  you have been thinking about, give me a call today on 01332  721877 and I can tell you more.  It is a decison that you wont regret and, if you want to re sign, let me know before Friday.

Photos, photos photos, that is what we need, now that we can add them.  I still think its all a bit strange about asking for $'s for me to add photos, something not quite right  but never mind.

Heres one that I took to the Christmas Fayre on Saturday.  Lighting was not too good when I took this photograph
Another couple of Christmas cards.

Off to start my morning at my proper job, have a wonderful start to the week.

Sunday

Soggy Sunday and photos

So, I have discovered that all the photographs I put on my blog go on to something called Picasso.  The photos on the blog and on Picasso all count towards the total storage space I am allowed.  I have to delete photos from 2008 not only from the blog but also from Picasso to let me post new photos, phew how complicated is this?  It has taken me two hours of sitting here going from one page to aother, one site to another.  If anyone else has any other ideas on this then please let me know.
So now, I can get you caught up with some phots, which is good news.

Here are the candles I have made, I loved doing them and as soon as I get some wicks, I shall make a few more.

Right then, off to get on with the rest of Sunday, thanks for having a read and I hope you stay safe and dry from the awful weather we have at the moment.

Thursday

No photos boo hoo

what a damp soggy week this has turned out to be. The forecast is that it is going to stay wet for the next few days so keep your coat and brolly dried out.

Work is as busy as ever which is good, it means that the time passes rather quickly, just what I like.

I have also been very busy at home.  I have a Christmas Fayre this Saturday, if you are free between 10 - 2 and fancy a drive out, I shall be at St. Osmunds church which is in between Wickes and the Conference Centre on London Road (top of Ascot Drive).  It would be great to see you,  I have been busy making some candles, some cards and getting a few  bits put by to sell.  I am really looking forward to it.

Of course, I have been getting everything ready for Crafty Week next week.  Hasn't that come round quickly?  There are a few places free on Thursday and one place on Friday.  Please give me a call and get yourself booked on if you fancy an evening of making cards. We shall make one for the men in our lives and one for the ladies, not a Christmas card in sight.

I have lots and lots and lots of pieces of patterned paper.  I really dont know what to do with it all, i would like to use it on cards but nothing is coming to mind.  If anyone has any ideas, please let me know

I have tried to include some photos of lots of different things but, I am told that I have used up my quota and that I have to purchase space now??? I shall have to look into this as it doesnt sound quite right.

Thanks for having a read, sorry there are no pictures and hope you have a wonderful day.

cards, cookies and cold

Feeling very sorry for myself today.  I am full of cold and barely have a voice.  I am taking medication but cant go for the flu jab that I had planned on having, it seems that I have to leave that for another 10 days.  I think I will feel better once my headache goes.

Theses are the cookies I made earlier in the week, very scrummy,  There is just one left that I am saving for later this evening.

Another christmas card, I really have been working my way through them and loving every minute of it.  I have a good stash of them now, ready for my little Christmas fayre in a couple of weeks.

Off for a cuppa and some toast (with home made jam), thanks for having a read

Tuesday

Tuesday at Traces today

Good morning and what a great day yesterday way.  I learnt a new skill.....

It took me quite a while to make it as I do sew very slowly and I cant sew straight but I had great fun making this bag.  This is to be the first of many...guess everyone will get one for Christmas.

I havent made a cake for Tuesday at Traceys but I will make some cookies as soon as I get in.  The table is set, the kettle will be on and, you can see my new bag.

Off to work now so I will catch up with you again soon, thanks for nipping in and have a lovely day

Monday

Here we go again....

Good morning and here we are starting another week, quite an exciting one too.

I am sewing this afternoon, Tuesday at Traceys tomorrow and away for the weekend, what more could I ask for?

I have had a wonderful weekend, catching up with friends, sorting out some little jobs at home ohhh and lots of other boring stuff (including the ironing).  On Saurday I had planned on making some candles but Paul had put all my stuff away somewhere safe.  Paul is currently away and when I asked where it was he said, umm its in the shed, on a shelf but I dont know where.  You havent seen Pauls shed so it was no candle making for me on Saturday.  Instead I made jam and then decided to make orange marmalade

I loved it, made a mess, got everywhere sticky but so pleased with the end result.  Isnt that what it is all about, having fun and being pleased when you have finished?

Do you remember my orchid?  A few weeks ago this little branch snapped off,

well, I put it in water and look what has happened to it.

If that isnt enough, my orchid has put out another little shoot?

I shall keep you updated on this.  I am now wondering if I should pot up my little broken shoot?

Well thanks for having a read, I hope all is well is your world.  Hope to see those that can make it tomorrow, at Tuesday at Traceys.

Thursday

Thank You

Good morning from a very mild Derby today, at least I wont be scraping any ice from the car this morning, phew.

Here is the little thank you card that I have made for November.  As there is no more pocket silhoutes stamp set from SU I am trying to get used to the Serene Sillhoutes and I am liking it.  I have had a play and I have made some very nice cards.

As promised here are a couple of photos of the Tracey at Tuesday cakes.

I am now in the middle of preparing all the card kits for Crafty Week which is nearly all booked up.  There are a few places left on Thursday 29th November if you fancy a night of crafting but you had best get in touch soon to book your place.

I hope you have a lovely day and thank you for nipping in for a read.

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitterings

Tuesday at Tracey's again today, ohhh how lovely.  I shall share what I have baked with you tomorrow.

I had a lovely weekend with Claire and all her team. Pam, Tracy, P.Ann and myself nipped off to scrapbook the whole of Saturday away.  Here is my page which I loved doing.

This is the photograph I used, a very rare one from Breedon on the Hill, Paul and Christiana looking at the ducks.

Sunday we did a little more xmas shopping which means that the wrapping paper has to come out, of course I have to make some more labels first which I shall love doing.  And then that was it, the weekend was over in a flash.

Yesterday it was the normal Monday Morning feeling all day even if I did manage to get a few chores done.  Its the tags and cards that I love doing and I may get chance to get a few finished off later in the day.

I have lots and lots and lots of SU goodies at my house so please, do feel free to call in to collect today.  Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a great day.

Saturday

Scrapbooking Saturday

Good morning and brrrr you will need a hat and scarf this morning.  The temperature has gone down to just 1 degree and I am up with the larks, for a change.

Last night it was Derby Dabblers and was lovely.  I didnt keep to the theme, which was white, I sat and coloured in some elephants.  Dont ask but I will show you more later in the week.  It was nice to catch up with everyone and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did but where did the 3 hours go?

Today I am off scrapbooking for the day, pure bliss.  We are doing two very different pages and I always get everything ready to make mine into double pages, (four pages in total) which I finish off at home.  I have ran out of scrapbooks so I will have to treat myself to a new one and I have seen these from SU

I havent really noticed the page dividers before so a pack of these may just have to fall into my basket too.  I think that these could be really interesting and what a way to use up those bigger pieces of paper that  I have collected over the years.

I was lucky enough to receive this card earlier in the week, thank you so much.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful weekend x

Thursday

White Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit

White Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit.  Not long now till Santa arrives.

Tuesday at Tracey's was another hit, lots of ladies lots of catching up and lots of cake.  This is all that is left of the cake and it was scrummy.

It really is so nice to sit down, catch up with everyone and find out what we are all up to and, every week there are different ladies that come for a natter.  We do spend our time with sending out text messages and emails that its really good to sit down face to face.

Yesterday I started  sorting out orders, yes a few orders arrived so they are all parcelled up ready to give out.  I get another delivery today so I know what I shall be doing this afternoon.

As promised, here is another card from the beautiful seeason stamp set and, a matching envelope.

This stamp set is excellent value for money. You get the main image which you can use on the outside of your card, the insert and the envelope. Two sentiments, one for the outside and one for insert and then, a stamp for a tag, all for the price of £15.95. I hope you can see the image below.

If you are wondering what all the dazzling things are, these are the snowflakes from the SU die, you get 3 different sizes and they are wonderful. You can attach them all together or just leave them seperate.  I shall show you some things that I have made with them in a few days.

Time to get ready for work but thanks for having a read today, I hope you manage to stay dry.
