Friday

Friday at last

Finally Friday whoop whoop, even though I wasnt at work yesterday I am still looking forward to a weekend with Christiana.

The joiner came and I am impressed.  The bathroom is really getting ready for it's makeover.

It's crafty night tonight and I have had a CANCELLATION.  I have 1 place available if  you would like to come along.  Please get in touch as soon as you can, first come, first served basis.

Here are a few photos of the curvey keepsakes we have been making over recent months.  You will be pleased to know that I do sell these if you would be interested in purchasing any.

Lots of bits and pieces out for sale now.  I keep adding to the FOR SALE items daily so if you fancy a cuppa and a ganda, please call in.

Well  I am off to doc now.  My hands are worse than ever so I am going to go and see what doc has to say.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful Friday.

Thursday

Sweet

Good morning and its a day off for me today, when I say day off I mean no office.  Do I ever get a day off from everything else? probably not but thats okay.  We have Mr. Joiner man with us today as the bathroom needs to have a new door frame prior to having tiles put up.  I guess that means lots of mess to clean up later.

So what about this weather!! My daughter can not believe it.  Yesterday we nipped out and got out of the car to snow....after our visit, we got into the car fighting the wind and hail only to come home to blue skies?  She is letting everyone in Cyprus know all about it, especially as mum said 'come home, weather is lovely here' oops.

We had a smashing crafty evening on Tuesday night.  Lots of lovely ladies eating lots of lovely cakes.  Oh, we made cards too *giggling* and our box of course.

My hand has bigshot itus again and i havent used the big shot!!! I am not sure what has happened and getting in at the doc is not an easy process....big sigh

Here is another card I have recently made from my 'sweet' collection.

I do like the clean look.

Off to takle some ironing and put out even more bits for sale on the dressers.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful day

Monday

Merry Monday 17

Good morning and another week begins.

Yesterday was a lovely day.  A lot of time spent outside, sowing seeds, sorting out some more plants in tubs and cleaning up.  It really is never ending.

I managed to spend a while in the craft room to get the majority of things done for the craft classes this week, which I always look forward to.

After cooking a roast lunch Christiana got me hooked on Greys Anatomy, something I have never seen until yesterday but now I have watched the first 3 episodes.  I understand there is a lot of catching up to do.

Today after a busy morning at work, Christiana and I get to spend the afternoon and the evening together and we have plans.  Baking, crafting, a little visiting and some essentials shopping.  We are also going on a physiotherapist hunt.  We need to get her booked in as soon as we can for her hands and we have decided to visit a couple of places today too.....always busy. If you know of a physiotherapist in Derby that you could recommend, please do let me know.

As usual on a Monday, we visit the Christmas cards we received last year.

This one was from Sandra, it is lovely, thank you.  The photograph doesnt do it justice.

*waving* at all the new ladies that are visiting today, thanks for nipping in for a read.

Well I had best get a wiggle on and get in that shower.  I dont want to be late for work.  Thanks for having a read x

Sunday

Sundays catch up

Good morning and what a lovely, fresh morning it is out there.  It is certainly cooler than previous days and we have had a lot of rain in the night which is good as it has filled up the water butt again.  I cant believe how much water I use from there, all helps with the plants.

Speaking of which,  I am so pleased with the way things are going in the greenhouse

Spring onions just coming through

Tomatoes

Potatoes

 Strawberrys

Salad leaves

The plants in the garden are starting to change as well now, what with a little bit of sun and quite a bit of rain.  This is the clematis that I got for our wedding anniversary last year which hasnt really done much but over the last day, this wonderful flower appeared

We have been out and about with Christiana, sorting out bathroom taps and handles (seeing what is easy for her to use).  And of course, visiting garden centers and having tea with nana.  We have even purchased the starting bits to make a fairy garden, we are just waiting for the good weather so that she can stay outside to help me do it.

We have had lots of visitors too which is always good as its a great excuse to sit and chat.

And of course, cards are being made too.
This is another for my box, as if I havent got enough *giggles*

SALE SALE SALE - yes lots and lots of sale items on the dressers.  Far too many to list but if you are in the area and fancy a look through, you are most welcome to nip in.  Kettle is always on.

Now to get a wiggle on and get the final touches to the card classes done in between cooking Sunday roast.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely Sunday, whatever you are up to

Thursday

Sew lovely

Good morning and what a morning.  The sun is out although it is only 4 degrees at the moment.  I have a few hours at work and then it is home.

On our way to the airport last night we decided to stop off for tea and just look at this place we found.

I hope to take Christiana there next week one evening, when it is warm of course. Stunning views and how calming to be by the canal side.

Christiana arrived safe and sound and its lovely waking up and chatting to her in person before I go to work rather than over the internet.  When she came she gave me this from her and the twins

Isnt it wonderful and so apt for all the sewing that I am doing at the moment, thank you so much girls.

Here is a card I made earlier in the week,

Lots of different cards from me at the minute, having fun trying out various techniques and styles.  It is crafty week next week so I shall be getting prepared this afternoon.  Thankfully, not too much cutting out this time.

Well thank you for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day.  Tracey x

Tuesday

Going, Going, Gone

Good morning and today is going to be another great day weatherwise.  I have just read that it is a dry day which means that I may get an hours gardening in later.

The retirement list is out and oh my, there are so many items that are leaving Stampin' Up!  If you have something that you have been wanting to purchase and its on the retirement list, best get your skates on.    If you click HERE you will get to the up to date list.  I shall be putting an order in this afternoon but there is no guarantee that we will get what we want as the things are just selling out so quickly.

I have made another Sweet card with products that I purchased some time ago.

And here is the inside with a greeting and another little cupcake.

I really enjoyed making these and still have lots of bits left over to make more as and when I can.

If you fancy a cuppa today, I am home from around 2ish for a couple of hours and the sale dressers are just full of crafting items.

Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day x

Monday

Merry Monday Number 15

Good morning and today is a very good Monday morning for a couple of reasons.  The first is that I am not at work WHOOP WHOOP.  I am having the day off with hubby as we have 101 little bits and pieces to do including finishing the rose garden, mowing the lawn, cleaning the deck and lots of bits that we like to do together.

Secondly, I have just purchased a stamp I have been after for months.  Not only that, I got it for FREE.  If you use the code PRIM10 on Create and Craft, you get free p+p as well as £10 off your order price.  You cant beat that start to the week if you are a crafter.

Yesterday was a lovely day with lots of friends and family popping in to see Paul, have a cuppa and eat cakes.  I even managed to get lots of clothes dried outside in the sun as it turned out to be really warm.  I have the rest of the washing to do today before the man of the house has another working week away so I hope the weather is just as nice.

As usual on a Merry Monday here is another lovely Christmas Card we received

This is from Tricia, thank you.

Tonight Stampin' Up! will advise what is going to be retiring oh no.  I dont know if that is telling the world or just demonstrators.  I recall last year it was a frenzy of orders being placed only to find that you couldnt order things as they had sold out before the order went through.  I will let you know.  It is crafty week next week and I am so looking forward to it.  Feels like an age to see everyone and it will be lovely to have a catch up.

Right, off to start my day.  Wishing you a wonderful Monday

Sunday

Daisy Chain

Morning, the sun is out, the sky is blue....sounds like a song.... but it is cold.  The cars are all frozen over and the bird bath is just ice at the moment.

A short post today as I am cooking a Sunday lunch for hubby who is now home, in fact he is lying in bed watching tv with a cuppa, he deserves it.  Got family coming this afternoon to have belated birthday cakes and cuppa with the hubby and I also want to get a few chores done in between.

I have been told that I am overwatering my new plants in the greenhouse, yikes.  I guess I am being a bit too generous, oops.  Fingers crossed that things start to look a little better soon, I dont want to drown the poor blighters.

I have been having more of a play with inking up a stamp that hasnt been out for a while

Lots of glitter on this one but as you all know, I am not a photographer so cant capture it too well.  It is a Penny Black stamp and I have been trying out the new printer for the sentiments.  I am pleased with this.

Stampin' Up! order going in this evening so if you would like anything, please do let me know.

Best get that oven on and put the joint of beef in, thanks for having a read and have a wonderful Sunday x

Saturday

With a cherry on top

Snow? Snow? lots of friends have snow but thankfully we dont, yet.  It is cold enough to snow at just 2.5 degrees but I dont want any.  Thankfully I have enough to do in the house and craft room this morning so that is where I shall stay.

We had a lovely trip out with the folks yesterday.  Went to Bardills garden center for a cuppa and to collect a couple of bits for Pauls belated birthday celebration tomorrow.  It was a really nice afternoon, despite the rainy weather.  Actually, I thought it was lovely to have a little fresh air and so I thought next Friday we might take a trip to Swarkstone garden center.  That is always nice and full of wonderful ideas.

Last night I tried to finish the sorting of the craft room but then I had this idea

So this morning I have to go and finish the craft room, *giggling*  I will get it done one of these days.

Dont forget it is 'last orders' for the weekly deals tomorrow, unless you would like an order delivered directly to your door. I shall be placing an order around tea time.  Lots of lovely stuff this week.

If you fancy a cuppa this morning, kettle will be on and I will also put on a bit of heating in the craft room too.

Thanks for having a read and stay warm.  Tracey x

Friday

Friday's post

Good morning on this wonderful Friday.  Yes it is going to be wonderful just by being Friday and I am so looking forward to a long weekend.  I wont be at work on Monday, having a day with hubby to have a late birthday celebration.

I guess it is wrap up warm this weekend as I just heard that we are having Wintery showers brrrr, just when I thought Spring was here.

A big wave and a thank you to *Emma* in borrowash.  Post man is on his way.

No Challenge entries today but I am looking for another one to do tomorrow. If you know of a Saturday Challenge please let me know.

I do have a card to share with you today.  This is another one that I completed and put in the 'FOR SALE' box.

I do sell my cards and if you are looking to purchase one or two, please let me know.  I have the crafty space opened up most afternoons and evenings and there are always 3 or 4 boxes full of creations.  If you cant find what you are looking for, I am always happy to take on commissions with a couple of weeks notice.

Lots of crafty bits and pieces on the dressers for sale and these are being added too now on a daily basis.  There are ink pads, stamp sets, hand scrubbies, pro marker pens, lots of cards in every colour you can imagine as well as 6 x 6 paper pack.  Kettle is always on if you fancy popping in.

Just a reminder to take a look at the last of the weekly deals and the clearance rack.  My next order is going in on Sunday evening but, if you want to place an order to have your goodies delivered direct to your home, you can do that too.  If you would like me to place the order for you, the p+p is 50p and you are welcome to collect from Alvaston.

I had best get on the way to work now for the next few hours.  Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day.

Thursday

Cupcakes

Good morning. I am a little late getting up today, nightmares!  No more to be said.   Derby today is going to be wet, very wet at times.  I have just heard that we are to have thunder and hail storms throughout the day but the temperature will be 13 degrees.  Can hail stones break glass in the greenhouse? yikes

After a morning in the office I have to finish off another couple of cards and I can honestly say that I am really enjoying all this 'getting on top' of stuff.

I thought that for a change, I will do something that I have been meaning to do for ages and that is join in with a few challenges.  One site was suggested to me, Crafty Boots so here is my entry for this week, here is the LINK if you want to check it out

For this challenge you have to have a project with a sentiment and as I finished this card off on Tuesday evening, I thought it really fit the bill.   I have stamped the cupcake on to different coloured card and then put them together.  I stuck this onto vanilla card and stamped the sentiment.  This was then put on to pink card which was mattered onto Crumb Cake Card.  The little bits of paper on the bottom half of the card are all bits from Stampin' Up! designer papers.

and then on the inside I made bunting out of lots of the cherries which I cut and stamped out.

Well I had best get my skates on and get ready for work.  Thanks for having a read today and I hope you have a lovely day, whatever you are up to.

Wednesday

Last Weekly Deal and my.....there are some good offers

Good morning from a warm Derby.  Possibility of stormy showers later but a high of 12.  I guess that will suit me very well, it means I can clean the mess up of more moss when I get home.

I believe that today is the last weekly deal that is on offer from Stampin' Up! and wow, there are some great offers this week.

If you would like to order any of these items please, do get in touch on 01332 721877.  You are most welcome to call in for a cuppa and a natter and also to try before you buy if I have the products that you are interested in.

Yesterday afternoon I continued making all the little changes I want to make in the crafty space and I do hope that by this evening it will all be done and dusted.  Unfortunately I keep finding things so I sit down and have a little play instead of sorting, as you do.  I actually completed 23 cards that were 3/4's finished.  I also created another 6 cards that I left drying over night, tut tut.

Here is one of the cards that I re-discovered.  I made it but I just cant give it away.

This is the inside of the card, which would be just lovely for the outside too.
It will just get put to one side again ready for me to re-discover at some time in the future.  I loved making this, perhaps I should just make a few more.

Sewing classes are back on tonight whoop whoop, I have to see what I am going to make over the next few weeks, I most definately want to learn how to put zips into bags and all about button holes too.

Well I had best get into work.  Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

Good afternoon on this warm but rather muggy Tuesday.  I am wondering if we are going to get a bit of a storm this afternoon as its really gray, dismal and we are in April.  April showers and all that.

The birds have been busy on my roof, goodness me.  It has taken me an absolute age to sweep up all the moss that has fallen off the roof, again.  It must be around a particular time of year that this happens as I remember moaning about it last year.  I cant leave it outside as I am so worried that someone will step in it and then it is stuck to their shoes, bought into the house etc. etc.  Oh well, its another little job done.

The greenhouse is looking good.  I will be pleased when Paul comes home because I dont know what to do with the plants now...silly me.  Here are some photos of the potatoes, tomatoes and the lettuce/rocket.

Nothing to show of the  spring onions or flowers as they are still not through the earth yet.

I am still sorting, clearing and selling off lots of crafting goodies.  The dressers in the craft room are looking rather full.  There is a new coffee machine in there too so, if you do fancy a cuppa, have a look at what is for sale or would like to place an order, please call in.  You can grab a bargain or two at the same time.

Here is a card that I have made using the new Timeless Texture stamps.  If you are a fan of the Gorgeous Grunge set then you will love these new ones.  I have cased this from Pinterest and made a few slight changes, added another layer of card added a greeting and some sequins.

The inside of the card.   I dont know if you can just make out the Wink of Stella on the image? it really does shimmer.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely afternoon and evening.  x

Monday

Merry Monday 14

Good afternoon, yes its the afternoon for a change.  I usually get up and update the blog over a cuppa in the morning but today I had to get to work super duper early.

So that is work out of the way, I have an afternoon of bits and bobs to do then I plan on going into the craft room for a couple of hours this evening, getting the cards ready for our next Crafty Week.

As it is Merry Monday I  have another Christmas card to share with you

This was received from Lesley, thanks Lesley.

And as it is a very Merry Monday, here are the ones that I made last Friday night at our Christmas Card and Chatter Club.

I started off with some stamps from Sir Stampalot (these are on special offer at the moment so grab a bargain).

Lots of lovely Stampin' Up! Whisper White card to watercolour on.  Oh yes it is fab to use with the watercolouring technique.  If you would like to order some, please get in touch and I will get in for you.

I stamped the image direct on to the card, coloured in, added the lights.

Real Red card was cut down to size.

Old Olive card was cut down to size to use as a mat between the watercolour card and the Real Red card.

Put everything together and popped them in envelopes, until November.

In November I will add crystal effects to all the lights, add a star to the tree, stick them all together, add lots of dazzling diamonds, put in an insert and there you go, 12 cards all ready

Lots of visitors yesterday for Pauls Birthday, even though he isnt here.  We shall be celebrating a week late so next Sunday afternoon, it is tea and cakes.  I do hope the weather will be nice as I am trying to get the decking all clean to sit outside, well I can try cant I.

Thanks for having a read and please, if you fancy a crafty get together, let me know.  Have a wonderful day x
