Cat Punch

Good morning.  Is it as cold as yesterday? Probably so I shall wrap up warm today.  As it is Tuesday I am not the best so I will potter as and when I can and catch up on some TV shows.  I also have a major problem with my left knee, it is twice the size it should be, I cant walk on it and it is giving me pain all the time.  Lets hope that it vanishes tomorrow, just as quick as it came.

The last day of October and trick n treaters should be out later.  For the last 3 years I have had buckets full of sweets and no one has been to visit really so this year I decided not to.  You watch, I bet I will get lots of the tinkers tonight.

Here are some treats that I made for my lovely friends using the cat punch from Stampin' Up! and the retired curvy keepsake.  The acetates and vellums that I used are nearly 13 years old so I just had to use them up.

Well I have best get moving as I cant sit. If I sit for too long I cant get up.  Have a wonderful day and thank you for having a read x

Happy Birthdy Bro in Law

Good afternoon.  Did you remember to put your clocks back?  We did but we also had extra lie ins on Saturday, Sunday and today.

It was brother in laws birthday last week and this was the card that I sent.  We had a lovely time catching up with everyone.

Tomorrow is the LAST DAY for getting your hands on some free papers.  If you would like a little more information please, do get in touch.

Sending *waves* to those of you I havent seen for quite some time.  I do think of you lots each and every day and look forward to seeing you sometime soon.

Our first of 4 hospital visits has been done and dusted today.  It was for Christiana and her recent bout of pneumonia. The consultant we saw wasn't too enthusiastic  and asked questions that we couldnt answer.  He just looked through her notes, found the answers and just wanted to her to have another x-ray to be sure all is okay.  We shall do this on Wednesday.

The Shed (formally known as the music studio) has been finished whoop whoop.  An alarm will go up very soon and then everything will be taken in and put in place, phew.  What an achievement though.  I am so proud of him.

Off to have a look at a little die cutting set that I would like to play with.  Lets see how I get on.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day.  Tracey x

Thursday

A day in the Craft Room

Good morning.

I think I have recovered from yesterday goodness.  We went out for an hour at 11 and it was gone 3pm by the time we got home.  Then once tea was cooked it was off to say Happy Birthday to Brother in Law.  A lovely day though.

Today we are in the craft room all day, now I am not saying we will be crafting but we will be in there.  Here is another card that was made with the lovely Garden Designer papers and some Old Olive Ink.

I am really loving these colours Calypso Coral teamed up with Old Olive and Pool Party.  These papers are part of the buy 3 get 1 FREE.  If you would like some FREE papers please get in touch as 2 ladies are looking for a 3rd lady to order some of the papers and take a share in the FREE pack.

Christiana has just about finished her snowman wreath

It does need a little more sticky stuff here and there but this should be finished by tonight and then she is trying to make a Christmas Pudding wreath.

If you fancy a card get together this evening, please get in touch or if you fancy a cuppa, you know where we will be today.

Thank you for having a read and wishing you a lovely day.  Tracey x

Sending Wishes Your Way

Good morning and it really is a good morning outside in Derby.  The weather is very mild so I may get chance to deadhead a few more plants and gather more seeds.  What I am going to do with the thousands I have collected goodness knows but it will all be fun I am sure.

So Pippa came and pippa went.  She arrived last Friday and we had a wonderful weekend with her and she left last night, until next time.

I havent been able to update the blog as my hands have been playing up and time just hasnt allowed so apologies.  I did manage to make this.
Old Olive Card with a Rich Razzleberry Matt followed by a piece of Petal Garden Designer paper   which I have stamped on a sentiment in Old Olive.

I have lots of wonderful patterned paper to use up so that is what I am doing.  If you need this paper stack (which I think you might do) it is part of the offer of buy 3 and get 1 free.  I have more samples of the paper if you would like to pop in and have a look at it tomorrow or Friday evening.  Just let me know and I shall pop the kettle on.

Thanks for having a read, hope you have a lovely day.  Tracey x

Thursday

Thanks yous and pansies

Good afternoon and what a damp and dark day it is.  I cant believe that the temperatures have dropped so much brrrr.

So the triangle of plants we sorted at the weekend left a couple of buckets of pansies so we set to and sorted them out, just to see what we could get to grow, ready for next season.

We found a lot of young plants that we didnt know what they were so again, they have been planted up and we shall wait to see.

Of course, once that was done, the green house needed a good hoover and dust down, so that is exactly what it got.  Daft or what.

Here is another wonderful Thank You card that I received recently.  I just love this.
I have received a nice large box of goodies which will get sorted out today.  If you are out and about tomorrow morning or tomorrow afternoon, please feel free to call in.  If you are here for a crafting night tomorrow, you could collect at that time.  If you would like to come crafting Friday night please let me know as there is a spare place.

Thanks for having a read.  Stay dry  Tracey x

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

Good morning.  Second attempt today to write this as Mr. Blogger has just deleted everything I previously wrote grrrr.

So what did I say, urmmm.....  Something about the strange weather we had yesterday and how pleased I was to chat to my friend in Belfast last night.  She and her family are safe.

A lovely Thank You card from Ian a fellow SU Demonstrator,

I loved the layout of this and may borrow the idea for a few of my own cards when I can do a bit more cutting.
Remember blendabilities?  Well the new and improved Blendabilites will be back on 1st November.  Stampin' Up! UK are giving away some so if you would like a chance to own some of your own, please nip HERE to their face book page.

Paul is about to put down the skirting board in his new building, he is well pleased with himself.  So it will be skirting down, carpet down and then the spare tables that I have had in the kitchen for the last 3 years will be moved out.  Wow, I am so looking forward to that.  If all goes according to plan, that could be this weekend but then you all know about me and plans....ooops.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day.  Tracey x

Monday

Magical Monday

Good morning, I do hope you have had a lovely weekend. I did, it started with a get together on Friday evening with some wonderful friends sorting out a few more Christmas cards and tags. It wont be long for the big mans visit.

We got the washer fixed on Friday, just like the engineer said we would. I would certainly recommend Hotpoint here in the UK so my weekend was spent washing.  Now there is just the ironing left yaks.

Saturday saw us in the garden as we were told that it could be the last nice weekend weatherwise of the year.  We dug up the triangle of plants that we put in a year ago,

sorted out the soil, which had quite a bit of sand in it and took nearly everything out and started again.
We put over 300 spring bulbs in and then planted cyclamen, topped off with bark.
We shall see how it all goes. It certainly looks cleaner.

Yesterday was a pottering kind of day and today we have to do a bit of catching up, before we go into The Craft Room.

Here are just a few tags, recently made all matted on to SU coloured card.

Dont forget the Buy 3 get 1 FREE paper offer is still on for another 14 days.  Lots to choose from and if you need a hand please, pop in for a cuppa.

Thanks for having a read and wishing you a Magical Monday.  Tracey x

Good morning from a rather warm Derby.  I managed to get in the craft room last night and made a few tags, all Stampin' Up! card, punch and colours and a Snowman Stamp from my stash.

I have already purchased a few presents to sent to Santa in readiness for the twins coming home soon so I had to wrap them up and get them tagged too.  Now I just need somewhere to put them all.

It is Christmas card and chatter evening tomorrow night.  If you are local to Derby and fancy an evening in the company of like minded crafters, you are more than welcome to come along.  If you need venue details please get in touch.

Christianas trip to the hospital was very informative yesterday.  The doc was lovely and explained why she was there.  This Scleroderma could affect her internal organs, gut, stomach, bowels etc. and we need to know that this doc will help if this is the case.  A great visit.

Dont forget that you can still get some FREE papers in the SU offer of buy 3 and get 1 FREE.

Thanks for having a read today.  I hope you have a great Thursday and if you are passing this afternoon, please feel free to pop in for a cuppa.   Tracey x

Feeling of Christmas

Good morning and here we are for another mid week musing.  I am pleased to let you know that we only get the one car parking outside our house now.  He has always parked there from 7am until 6pm each week day.  All the other cars that kept blocking us in by parking opposite the drive now and again dont come anymore, so my nice little notes did the trick.

Christiana is really on the road to recover.  She went for a lovely stroll around Sainsburys and got some lovely clothes for her niece.  We managed to do a little bit of shopping before treating ourselves to a Sainsbury lunch out.  I even picked up a few more bits and pieces to send off to Santa so that is a bonus.

Unfortunately my sis, who was in A&E all day on Sunday with one ailment was back there again yesterday with a totally unrelated ailment (or was it unrelated).  My washing machine decided to stop and no amount of coaxing can get it to start again.  I had saved all my washing to do it in one day and now we are scuppered, oops.  Got a chappie coming out to look at it today.  So its all go in this household once more.

Today we are at the hospital.  Christiana is off to see yet another consultant but we dont know why, I suppose we will understand in a few hours.  If the washer repair man wants to come whilst we are out, hubby has to leave work to sort it.  I am sure that by the end of the day all will be well.

Sheila, Alison and I have managed to have a play with Feeling of Christmas stamp set.  Our first few attempts were not the best and it took ages to get it right but in the end, we got there.

The first card has been stamped in black ink, a light dusting of green around the edges and then the berries were coloured in.  The second card (the one at the bottom) has had a green background stamped on it first, then the black wreath followed by a green ink dusting.  I like them both and if you would like to pop in and try your hand with this stamp set, please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by for a read and I hope you have a lovely day.  Tracey x

SU Goodies used for todays card
Stamps - Stampin' Up! Feeling of Christmas
Card - Very Vanilla, Real Red, Wild Wasabi
Ink -  Wild Wasabi, Archival Black

World Card Making Day

Good morning and although it is a bit gray outside, it is rather warm.  Forecast is for a lot of rain tonight and tomorrow so we shall try and potter outside today.

World Card Making day last Saturday was a lovely day.  Quite a lot of crafting in the morning (which I captured) and a lot more crafting, playing and chatting in the afternoon, right up to 5pm so it was great.  It is just so nice to sit down and talk to people which I think is the best .  Here are some of the cards that were made

We started off with a Basic Black base card.  A sheet of Whisper White card was adhered to the base card.  With another piece of Basic Black card a circle was cut out.  Some folk kept the circle to add sticky tape too and then dipped it into dazzling diamond glitter.  The cat was punch out and stuck over the hole with the new mini 3D dimensionals.  The sentiment is an old retired one from SU but it certainly did the trick (no pun intended).  If you would like to call in an have a go at making this card, just let me know and I will get the kettle on.

And of course we all had a play with the new tag and punch.  This is going to be so helpful for me as I am always running out of tags before Santa comes to visit.  Again, if you would like to see the punch and stamp set in action, please get in touch.

Today we are off to the vampire clinic, both Christiana and I have to have blood tests.

Friday night is Christmas card and chatter night so if you would like to come along for an evening with like minded folk please do let me know.  We would love to see you.

Stamps - Stampin' Up! Merry Little Labels
Card - Whisper White Thick, Basic Black
Ink -  Various colous and Stamp n Write pens
Punches - Everyday Label Punch, Cat Punch, Circle Punch

Today is the LAST DAY to get yourself goodies with a 15% discount.

You can order via my online shop and if you quote the hostess code below, you will be getting something in the post, from me, as a thank you.  Dont forget to leave your details.

The 3 for 1 offer on Stampin' Up! papers is still on and if you click HERE  you will see what is available.

Again you can order direct from the online shop or, if you prefer, let me know what you want.

Thanks for popping in for a read today and I hope you have a great Tuesday.  Tracey x

Make Room Monday

I dont know about making room Monday but we are certainly taking up room.  My hubby is so good with all the crafty bits that come in and out of the house.  He doesnt say a word about bits of glitter on his sandwiches, the backing of 3D dimensionals stuck on the carpet or the occasional  SU book and papers with offers scattered around but since Christiana came home I think we may be pushing our luck slightly.

Yesterday we had SU orders on chairs as I hadnt had time to put them in the craft room since last week? really!  Christianas box of wreaths that arrived and will be decorated soon, the wool for the snowmen she is making and then the paper tree and paper candle that we went out to have a go at during the MIND event were all left in the dining room.....poor hubby.

The Thank You cards for October have been made with the wonderful Hostess Stamp Set Background Bits.  Lots of lovely images on this set, which you could earn for FREE.

More room to be made in The Craft Room which means more items FOR SALE.  Please call in at anytime this week and have a look at the Sale Dresser, something just may catch your eye.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day.  Tracey x

Unicorn for the birthday girl

Good morning and its another fine morning here in Derby.

We didnt get to do any crafting yesterday, it really was a total rest and relaxation day.  Everything we did was at snail pace.  It was Christianas birthday at the weekend and here she is in her birthday chair with balloon and slippers.

Her rare illness makes her feel colder than people that are well so she loves to sit in the conservatory at 28 degrees, which is just warm for her but, she didnt have a comfy chair to sit on.  Well now she has, thanks to her uncle.  Slippers were from her step brother and family and the balloon was from Aunty.  She really is a happy bunny.

This is the card that I made her, it wasnt the best as my hands werent the best but she loved it.

And that is what counts.

Paul has gone away and left us girlies home alone to play so after lunch today we are going to nip to the range for a slow walk and a browse.  Christiana wants some more bits and pieces for her wreaths and I just like looking so that will be our exercise for today.

I hope to get in the craft room later as Christiana wants to join in with the 'Rock' craze.  Right, off to do a little pottering.

Thanks for having a read and please, if you are free on Saturday, do call in for a cuppa.  It will be lovely to see you and if you fancy making a card, everything will be ready for you.  Tracey x
