Wish you Well with a Rose

Good morning.  It is only 1 degree outside brrrr.  The forecast in Derby is a little warmer than yesterday which is good but I will still be wrapping up.

My hubby picked this rose for me out of the garden.  It really smells of rose too so every time I walk past it I get memories of my grandad.  My mum grew roses when I was growing up and she would come home from work and say "who has cut such and such rose"  "where has it gone" and really, one of her roses had vanished.  Of course it was my grandad as each time he visited he would snip off a rose for his buttonhole.  Said rose was kept in a little bud vase overnight and it would be back in his buttonhole each lunchtime for his daily visit to his local club.  So now when I smell roses, I remember mums words, grandads buttonholes and the lovely little bud vase.....memories to treasure.

This card must have been inspired by pinterest although I made it quite a long time ago.  Again it is using the Wishing you Well (I promise I have nearly come to the end of all those, for now).  A jaunty little angle, some sparklies and a lovely card.  The envelope and the insert has been decorated the same way.

If you would like to make this please let me know as I shall be running a small quick class for this at the beginning of November.

Another day of catching up today and hopefully the kitchen tiling will be complete too.  What a difference it has made to the kitchen, the tiles are very unusual.

Thank you for having a read and please, do get in touch if I can help in any way with crafting and /or Stampin' Up!  Tracey x

Wishing you Well Christmas Wreath

Good morning, hope you had a good weekend.  Ours was spent at the local hospital with Christiana and it was lovely to be with her.  She had a fairly good weekend and seems to be stable at the moment, which is good.

I have managed to have yet another play with Wishing you Well, this time the wreath and the bow, what do you think?

The first card has the bow stamped directly onto it but I do prefer stamping the bow on a piece of card, cutting it out and sticking it on top.  That bow really is wonderful. I haven't added sparkle or glitter to the wreaths yet and I think that it is missing so I will have another attempt later today. I just love the fuller wreath on a 6 x 6 square card.

If you dont already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator of your own and would like to order this stamp set, or anything else from Stampin' Up! please do get in touch.  I am always very happy to help when I can.  If you would like to pop round and have a go at making the wreath we can always arrange a day to do this.

Today I am having a day at home, I need a bit of a rest.  I shall be popping in and out of the craft room, trying to do a little ironing and a few more chores.  I dont seem to be able to catch my breath with all that is happening.  I also hope to get some kind of nanny nap this afternoon too.

Thank you for having a read and I hope you wrap up warm today.  It is just 1 degree outside and the forecase is just for 7 degrees brrrrr.   Tracey x

Top pocket card

Good morning and brr what a very very cold morning it is.  Mr. Weatherman tells me it is just 2 degrees and it really is that cold outside.  The coldest for a long time so I will be wrapping up today when I go out.

We had a crafty night together last night and it was lovely, thank you so much ladies.  Here is one of the cards we made using the Stampin' Up! Buffalo Check background stamp.

If you would like to make this card please do let me know.  We could do it early one morning or at the weekend.

The Buffalo Check is such a useful stamp and one I shall play with in the week as and when I can.  If you would like one of these please do let me know and I can get one ordered for you.  Speaking of orders, I shall be placing my next normal order on Tuesday so do let me know if there is anything that you would like.  If you need help with anything crafty I am always happy to help if I can.

The Stamperettes order will be placed tomorrow.  We are hoping to start a new group of Stamperettes or Club 10 as some people know it as.  There are still a couple of places left though so we shall aim for a November start.  This is where 10 people commit to spending £15 a month for a period of 10 months.  During these 10 months, each person is a hostess for a month and gets at least another £15 FREE to spend on products that they wish, including the hostess sets.  I am about to do this for 19th time and it works really well as you can get a little something each month, matching card, ribbon, inks etc. for all your projects.  On top of that you get FREE catalogues and idea books, FREE samples some months and it is just nice to be a part of the group.  You can also have use of The Craft Room for your own Stampin' Up! party too.  If you would like to find out a little more please do get in touch.

I am pleased to say that Christiana had a good day yesterday and we have already been chatting this morning so I do hope she gets a little more sleep.  Visiting hours are a little more relaxed today so I normally end up spending the day.

Well I had best go and start to do a few chores, there are lots of them.  Thank you for having a read and I wish you a super Saturday, whatever you are up to.  Dont forget you can purchase crafting supplies directly though the internet shop, via me, 24 hours a day.  Tracey x

Morning and brrr it is a bit chilly.

Do you fancy a card making class this evening?  I have a couple of spaces available if you do.

Just get in touch to book your place.  I have even managed to bake too.

We have a halloween theme in The Craft Room along with the autumn one.

Christiana had a good day yesterday which was lovely.  Fingers crossed she is fine again today.  I will be there for a few hours over lunch time to take her a jacket potato.  She seemed to eat quite a bit yesterday, all a bonus.

It was brother in laws birthday yesterday and here is the card that he received.

A few different stamps on this one and we even managed a quick hello to see him.  I really do feel like superwoman at the moment with all that is going on....giggles.

If you come to visit over the next few days, please look out for these, they are so cute.

I just loved them and Paul thinks I am potty, never mind.

Off to get a few chores done.  Thanks for having a read and hope to see you soon.  Tracey x

Miss You

Good evening and apologies for the lateness.  I have been at the hospital all day with Christiana so I know you understand.

She has another chest infection which is always a worry but with her being so weak, it is especially difficult.  Her spirits are okay, we went for a ride on the wheelchair for yet another x ray (3 in 3 days) and we have had a few laughs.  I cant tell you how tired I am but I will get plenty of rest when I can.  Mum has coped well with her first week of chemotherapy too.

I wanted to share this card with you from Cyprus.  The chappie that made it is on the Do Craft panel of  designers and he is godfather to my neices youngest.  Small world isnt it.

Sophia asked him to make it and it is wonderful.
Stampin Up have a SALE to celebrate 30 years.  Here is a little video

And here are details of the stamp sets that are on sale from tonight at 11pm for 24 hours only.

I will put in one order tomorrow at 9pm so if you would like anything please, do let me know.

Time for me to get some sleep.  Thank you for having a read and I will be back tomorrow, at some stage. Tracey x

Thursday

Happy Accident

Good morning, I hope it stays calm and mild today.  Mr weatherman says 14 degrees with some clouds which will be fine.

I was getting things ready for our crafty morning on Saturday and I realised that I had stamped my favourite stamp (again) onto the wrong coloured card.  I had used Whisper White instead of Very Vanilla.  So I just had to finish it off, mat it and viola, love it.

These things are meant to happen.  If you would like to purchase a set of my favourite stamps please do let me know.  I shall be putting a little order in this weekend.

Katerina is on her way over, landing in about 3 hours.  Her aunt is with her.  Christianas cousin is arriving from Sheffield tomorrow and her friend is coming from Preston tomorrow night so it will be a right old mix of folk around.  The more the merrier.   Christiana wasnt feeling the best last night although she had picked up during the day.  There is rather a lot of confusion around the hospital at the moment, going to give her an ultra sound which turned out to be CT Scan.  Couldnt have the CT Scan because they cant canulate, going to start some treatment, not starting it etc. etc.  So I shall go and see if I can talk to a doctor again today although they are always so very busy.

Tonight there are boxes being made in the craft room.  Diane B is taking over  (once I have cleared my desk) and she is going to show everyone how to make the prettiest boxes that you can put candles in.  Lots of acetate, ribbon and papers will be flying around I am sure.  I will be joining as soon as I get back from visiting.

Off to make an early start although I did have a lie in. Thanks for having a read Tracey x
