Flowering Foils on a Monday

Good morning.  Another start to another week and I am being as positive as possible.  I have been told that we will all have a 'wobble' day and I had mine over the weekend but today is a new day and I have already planned out what I am doing today.  I think having a plan each day helps me.

Yesterday we had a chat on 'Zoom' with a few friends which was great.  I am hoping to keep in touch with everyone either by Zoom or messenger so if you fancy a group call, just let me know.

I also tried a different type of card and made these

I used an embossing folder to create the weave look.  This is called Coastal Weave from Stampin' Up!

To add a little colour to the background,  I used a dauber and some ink and just lightly went over the embossing folder until I got enough ink on it and then put the card inside the folder and ran it through the big shot.

The flowers  are free in the Flowering Foils 12x12 paper pack.  These were coloured in with the Blend Pens, the same colour as the card.  Then I added 2 different greens for the leaves and a yellow or peach for the middle of some of the flowers.  I cut the flowers out keeping as close to the lines as I could.
The sentiment is from Lable me Bold stamp set which is still a favourite of mine and one I use constantly.
If you would like to get your hands on some of these papers they are FREE with a £45 purchase of Stampin' Up! products during Sale a Bration which will end tomorrow.  Please get in touch with me to find out more.

I am hoping to have the morning in the craft room today finishing a few birthday cards and by continuing with sorting out, today it is the envelopes I have (4 drawers full).  Wishing you a lovely day what ever you are up to and thank you so much for having a read.  Tracey x

Saturday

It is the weekend

Good morning and it is the weekend.  Not as warm today but the girls have a lovely 20 degrees in Cyprus.  They are rather bored now, having been on lockdown for quite a few weeks already.  Their confirmed cases of the coronavirusin Cyprus is low and 3 deaths.  All their airports have been closed for a week or so and will not open for another 2 weeks.  They handled it differently.

Dont forget to put your clocks forward tonight.  I will still never forget the year you had to put your clocks back and I put mine forward.  I didnt know until the Monday morning when I turned up for work and no one was there....oppps.

We are coping quite well at home, I hope you are too.  Lots of little jobs are getting done, we are planning lots of other projects and plenty of time for tea, coffee and sit downs lol.  The greenhouse is getting full and the garden is starting to look very very nice.  Paul has taken out all the plant pots I have and we shall be arranging them next week in all the places I want them around the garden.  No plants in them yet, we have to wait for garden centers to open.

I was lucky enough to receive this in the post box yesterday.

When we open our letter box (which is outside on a wall and really does need to be replaced), we have to disinfect the box lid, as well as all the envelopes and then it is a throw away jobby followed by the washing of hands....will my hands ever recover.  But well worth it to receive this lovely card from Helen.

On 31st March (Tuesday) the Stampin' Up! sale a bration will end as well as the joining offer.   Why not click on the link HERE to read all about it.  My contact details are below should you want a bit more information and I have lots of time to help you.

Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a smashing weekend what ever you are planning.  Tracey x

Wednesday

Happy Birthday Kelly

Good morning and it is Wednesday already.

I am spending my days split between chores, the garden and crafting in that order.  In the craft room, apart from making a mess, I am going through all my half finished projects and getting through them at an alarming rate.

Of course all the March Birthday cards are complete, the April ones are nearly done so hope to start the May ones next week.  Speaking of birthdays it was my neice, Kellys birthday yesterday.  This is the card that was made for her.

We were hoping to walk up to see her after she finished work.  She works in the nursery at the top of our road and is looking after Key Workers children.  However, her plans changed so we drove over to see her (she lives on the way to our shop so Paul could pick up a few bits afterwards).  It was so very strange to wave at her and not give kisses and cuddles and spend time with her.  I have promised to bake a cake for her when we get a bit more normality, whenever that will be.

This card was created by making a backgroud on a sheet of A4 Whisper White card and using lots of flower images from one stamp set.  I loved making these but have so many of them now, they will keep me going for quite a while.

Thank you for having a read today.  Hope you enjoy your Wednesday, Tracey x

Tuesday

Happy Birthday Natalie

Good morning, a bit of a normal time start to the day.  Yes I heard the birds at just before 5am but for some reason they all shut up at around 20 past.  Was there a cat or something else?  I will never know, so I had an extra couple of hours.

Not a lot different planned for today, some more time in the craft room, some more chores in the house and before I know it, I will have to cook dinner.  Paul has started to clean all the outside of the house as he is hoping to get it all painted, along with the change of the living room, more boards and insulation in the loft and the clear out of the garage, phew.... we have lots to do.

No planting up of all my lovely plant pots in the garden.  We didnt manage to get new spring plants in time before the shop shut, they are not an essential but I do hope to wash them all out and place them in the garden ready to fill with pretty flowers.

Today is Natalies (daughter in law),  Kelly (neice) and my neighbours birthday.  This is the card I made for Natalie using Stampin' Up! colours and a stamp from my stash.

I do hope she likes it.  They have a sausage dog called Frankie which we have looked after and who is adorable.

I have read that deliveries are still coming through so we shall be placing the Stamperettes order as normal this week. Exciting.

Thank you for having a read today and I hope you have a lovely day.  Tracey x

Monday

Happy Birthday Robert

Good morning, it was -3 when I got up and everywhere outside is white, frozen over.  I do hope my camelia hasnt suffered as she has lots of bud on.

Yesterday was a smashing day, we did some planting up of seeds in the greenhouse, gave it a good clean out and got it ready for more planting up over the next few weeks.

I managed a couple of hours in the craft room and finished around 20 cards that just needed a little something on them.  Very productive and I felt like I achieved something.

Yesterday, as well as being Mother's Day was Roberts birthday and this is the card that I made for him.

It was a new style of card for me to make and I needed the stamperatus to get it all in line.  If you havent got one of these I can certainly recommed one.  It takes a little practice but once you get into the hang of it, stamping life is so much better.  I saw this card on Pinterest and fell in love with it.  In fact I like the whole set so this is my go to stamps for next week to play with.
