Happy Birthday to Trisha

Good morning, can you believe it is the end of August, oh my.  Summer is wizzing past.  I have head that we shall get warmer weather at the end of the week which is rather good as I am hoping to take part in a yard sale.

If you are local to the area pop over to say hello.  I will be having an extra few chairs out for you to sit a while.  I am quite excited by it but poor hubby isnt.

Yesterday was a Trishas' birthday and this is the card I made her.

I know she likes uncomplicated cards and this was just the perfect choice for her.

I also spent the day in the craft room yesterday and didnt come up with too much at all.  When I am pushed for time I complain that I never have enough hours in the day and yet can sit in the craft room and create.  Yesterday I planned on being in there all day and struggled to get any inspiration whatsoever.  Lets hope that today is a little better.    I have joined a couple of groups on the Facebook to see if I can find something to inspire me.  I believe that because I am not getting out and about, no craft shows, not seeing new things, I have come to a bit of a standstill.  Fingers crossed this will soon change.

I have already made my list of things I need to do today so I had best get a wiggle on and make a start.

Thank you for having a read today and if you need any help with anything crafty, please do get in touch. Tracey x

Thursday

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Friendship

Good morning, a cloudy start in Derby and rain is forecast.  Despite all my efforts last week to get on top of the dead heading in the garden and the cleaning up, the wind and the rain makes it look as though I havent been out there for weeks.  As soon as it is dry, I will go and do it all again.  I will also start taking off more seeds, ready for next year.

We had a zoom get together yesterday and these are the cards we created using a technique of stamping on an A4 sheet and then cutting it up.

We shall be having two more get togethers, tomorrow night at 7pm and Saturday afternoon at 3pm.  If you would like to join us to watch, make the cards along with us or just see what is is all about you are most welcome.  Please get in touch (details below) and I will send you details of how to find us.

If you have any bonus day coupons, these need to be redeemed in the next few days.  They will run out on 31st August.

Thank you for having a read today and I hope you have a wonderful Thursday, whatever you are up to.  I will be in the craft room, once I finish off a few chores.  Tracey x

Monday

SU colour Pacific Point teams up with a playstaying stamp

Good morning and welcome to a new week.  After my week of "rest" I feel I can take on the world today but I wont.

We have a Zoom get together this morning for all those folk that purchased the Prized Peony set.  So far we have made 2 cards with this set and we shall make a third one today.

I was asked to make a card for a 10 year old boy who likes his playstation.  I have used an old stamp from my stash but doesnt it go well with Pacific Point Card from Stampin' Up!  I coloured the little chap in using Stampin' Up! watercolour pencils and the sentiment was cut out of the stitched dies from Stampin' Up! too.

I am pleased to say she loved the card and has ordered a few more.

Below is one of the cards we will be creating on Zoom later this week.

Do get in touch if you would like to join us, even if it is just to watch.

Have you got Bonus Days coupons worth £4.50 each.  Dont forget to use them up in the next week otherwise you will lose them.

They cant be redeemed after 31st August.

I am off to open the Craft Room for the morning.  Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a magical Monday.  Tracey x

Birthday Wishes on a Sunday with Frankie

Good morning,  and what a lovely quote above.  It is one that Sophia found and was so apt for me for over the last few days.  I have had a good rest, sorted out the 1001 little things that I had put to one side and now I feel ready to start again.  Sometimes our batteries just need charging up.

So the garden has been spruced up (until all that rain yesterday), the aloe vera plants have been seperated and once the new ones have established they will be looking for new homes.  The spare room has been taken apart and put back together again.  It was time to sort out the drawers which contained Christianas bits and bobs.  I managed to do a few of them and when the time is right, I will do another few.  Pictures were hung (some were taken down) and things were put in their rightful homes.  I also managed to get to an optician and I can certainly recommend Eye Deal on London Road in Derby.  Fantastic service, fantastic choices and the staff were amazing (thanks to Liz K for recommending them to us) and amazing prices.  I got to attend hospital appointments, sort out doctors and pharmacy issues, get a hair cut and do all the laundry.  I have had afternoon naps, late mornings and early nights and feel a lot better.  Note to ones self....take time for me.

So now I have a new routine which includes daily walks, naps and rest as well as doing all the other little things that I want to do, lets see how this works out.

I have taken the time to watch a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Ruth Trice create beautiful cards and I crafted along with her.  I created this card (one of four) and sent it out to Diane who had her birthday last week.

I loved making this set of cards and they have all been used so I will make some more this week in a Zoom session on Wednesday at 2pm and on Saturday at 3pm.  If you would like to join me please get in touch with your email address and I shall send you an invitation, along with a list of items needed.  You dont have to use the same stamps that I used, you can use your own stamps, card and colours.  We shall make 4 cards all at the same time.

We have our granddaughters dog with us at the moment, she is staying for the week.

She is keeping us busy and really is a character.

Thank you for having a read today.  I hope you have a smashing Sunday and if you need any help with anything Stampin' Up! please get in touch x

Tuesday with a Prized Peony

Good morning, a bit damp to start the day today but Mr. Weatherman said it will go up to 22 degrees in the sunshine here in Derby which is just great for me.  I have quite a bit of dead heading to do in the garden later this morning and lots of wiping down too, dont those door sills and window frames get dirty and dusty in this weather.  A bit of a spruce up is needed.

Off course this will be after I return from the hospital.  I am off to the hospital for a look at my arms/hands.  Rhumatoid Arthritis is taking its toll and I am off to get them checked out.  This afternoon and we are having new blinds fitted in the newly decorated sitting room. This room is slowly taking shape but I cant get out to the shops to buy the accessories for it just yet.  Not feeling too confident in going into the shops to buy unnecessary things at the moment.

Yesterday we had a Zoom get together and we played with the Prized Peony stamp set.  On this card we did a little stamping, a little heat embossing, a little colouring in and we also had a lot of chatting.  I do like how my card turned out.

Here are the two cards I made using the same technique, one with a bigger border than the other.  These are now in my FOR SALE box, unless I use them first for an upcoming birthday.

I am hoping to have a Yard Sale in the Salvation Armies Jumble Trail event on 5th September.

I live just outside Allenton so will have a morning sitting out on the drive with my wares, I do hope the weather will be nice.

If you have thought about joining Stampin' Up! please keep in mind that as from September 1st, there is a new promotion where you not only get £130 worth of products for £99, which is delivered FREE to your door, you can also get 2 FREE stamps, FREE embellishments and 16 FREE kits to either use in a class or to make samples.

Well thank you for having a read today.  If you have any queries or questions or would like to find out more about Stampin' Up! and their products, please do get in touch, my details are below.
