Thursday

A red Mr. Gnome

Good morning and it is up with the larks this morning.  I had a brilliant nights sleep and am ready to start my day.

I have had to change the way my day goes due to Rhumatoid Arthritis.  I have learnt that to help this condition

  • not to eat any processed foods (ham, cheese, ready meals etc.)
  • to have my main meal at lunch time with a healthy snack early evening
  • to eat more fruit and vegetables
  • to have fresh food, salad, meat etc only
  • to go for a 20 minute walk once in the morning and once in the evening (or as far as I can twice a day)

And I must say, it is starting to work.  Not so many aches and pains and a good nights sleep.  And then of course I had a visit to the pysiotherapist and have a good 20-30 minutes exercises to do each day to help my swollen/painful legs.  So my busy day got even busier but its all good.

Today, after chores, walk and exercise, I hope to be in the craft room making up some boxes and decoupaging bottles. All getting ready for Santa.

Here is another Mr. Gnome card which I loved making.

I have teamed him up onto some 'Christmas Time is Here' papers which are lovely, thick and sparkley papers.  They have carried over from last year and I am using them all the time.  They make great boxes too.

Stampin' Up! still have some papers on offer (please see previous post) and that will end on Saturday.  If you did want to purchase some, please visit my Stampin' Up! shop or get in touch and I will order some for you.  If you wanted to do a share, please let me know.

Time to get ready for my day, thank you for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful Thursday.  Tracey x

Tuesday

Try it Tuesday with Mr. Gnome

Good morning and it is Try It Tuesday again.  Today I am going to try something a little different in The Craft Room.  It is another one sheet wonder of stamping all over an A4 sheet of Whisper White card with two stamp sets and colours that I dont usually use.  I will show you the outcome next week.  I love making these types of cards as they are so lovely to package up and pop inside the Christmas hampers I am creating. The only struggle I have is a one sheet stamped wonder card for men.  Now that is a challenge.

Yes it is Christmas Hampers for everyone this year, family, friends and daughters if I manage to get out to Cyprus to see them.  As I am not able to go around the shops to find things for family this year I thought hampers would be a good idea.  A mixture of bits and pieces that I can buy on line as well as the things that I am making as well.

I was playing with my Gnome for the Holidays stamp set again yesterday and came up with this lovely chappie.

I saw a card on Pintrest very similar and just had to have a go.  Those that go through Pintrest know exactly what I mean.  If you dont, then please dont try.  You can sit at a computer on Pintrest for 5 minutes and before you know it 2 hours have passed by and you are so full of ideas.  It is addictive.  So I stamped Mr. Gnome on Crumb Cake card and coloured him in with a white pen/chalk marker.  I used Saddle Brown ink to stamp him out as well as using the same ink for the sentiment.  The crumb cake was matted onto Early Espresso card, which was then put onto a Crumb Cake card base.  I really love this image and cant wait to play again later today.  All the products I used to create this card are listed below and if you click on the link, it will take you direct to the Stampin' Up! shop.

Would you like to have a Zoom with us this week.

This is the card we are making, one that I have been following on instagram from Janas Paperdream.  I thought it was so striking when I saw it that I had to have a go at making my own.  I shall be making a beige/brown one on Wednesday and then changing the colour again for Friday and Saturday.  The cards never come out the same when I make then more than once.  Please get in touch if you would like to join us and I will send you a link.  If you need help with Zoom I am more than happy to show you how it all works sometime today.

Thank you for having a read today, I hope you have a terific Tuseday.  Tracey x

Gnome for the Holidays Christmas tags

Good morning *yawn* I am afraid it takes a few days for my body clock to realise what time it is.  It is the same every year, it does take me a few days once we move the clocks either backwards or forwards.

The weekend soon sped by and it was yet another lovely one.  Lots of family on facetime, lots of chatting with friends and a few more chores out of the way.  The dreaded accounts are well and truly up to date and I even managed a play in the craft room.

I usually run out of tags towards the middle of December but no chance of that happening this year.

Here are a few tags that I made using the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set from Stampin' Up! along with a blends for colouring in, sparkly ribbon and the trusted Delightful Tag Top punch.  All the products I used are listed below.  If you would like to purchase some of the tags ready made, just let me know.  You are more than welcome to purchase any of the products below and once you click on one of them, it will take you straight to my Stampin' Up! shop.

I shall be putting an order into Stampin' Up! on Friday so if there is anything that you would like adding to this, please get in touch.  Dont forget that there is still a wonderful offer of discounted pretty papers at the moment and, if you would like to share a pack or two, I am sure that some other ladies that we know would like to share with you. Just get in touch with me (details below) to see about a share.

Boxes and papers on a Tuesday

Good morning, a little warmer out there today so I guess in between little chores, some outside work will be in order.  We still have quite a lot of colours in the garden and I dont want to disturb them too much.

We managed to get the new fence panels in on the front of the house (no photos yet) and now this is looking very nice, neat and no more fears of a storm blowing the panels away and causing damage.  We have also attached all the panels together by screwing brackets around the concrete posts.  Just in case anyone decides to steal a panel.  A lady had a couple stolen the day they were fitted.  Well, if anyone wants a garden gate, they can certainly think about taking a panel.

I have been asked to have a zoom session showing folk how to make a triple pop up cube and this is something I have been wanting to make for a while and goodness, it turned out lovely.  So if you fancy having a go at making this later in the week with me, please get in touch.  Its a great way to spend an hour with other like minded folk.

Stampin' Up! still have the amazing offer on lots of papers.  You can also order half packs from me too, as a share.  This is quite popular because as soon as 2 people want the same papers, I can order them so, if you wanted to try a few different packs, please do get in touch.  Here is a reminder of what is on offer.
