DAY THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FIVE - Curvy Keepsakes and sales

Good morning.  It felt a lot warmer waking up this morning which is always nice.  Had a great nights sleep, thank goodness for CPAP machines.

The birds are singing outside the bedroom window this morning too, made a very nice change to hear them.

Today and tomorrow I am having the pre Christmas clean, do you do that?  I go through each room making it spic and span before getting the decs out.  It is also a good opportunity to do a bit more decluttering which is something I love doing although I think hubby is getting a bit fed up of my question "do we need this anymore".

We had our Derby Dabblers get together last night which is always such a pleasure to go to.  We play a game of bingo, spend three hours of crafting, chatting and laughing and it really does put a smile on your face.  Last night there were 12 of us and the time just flew by.  We always meet on the last Friday of each month.  If you are local to Derby and fancy joining us you are very welcome.

A few weeks ago I joined a pain management group out of curiosity.  Well it has done me wonders and the folk I have met are becoming firm friends. It was our last official session this week and we had a bit of a buffet.  I took along these boxes for everyone.

I had great fun making them, using a retired Stampin' Up! die called a mini curvy keepsake, a retired stamp set as well as retired papers and twine.  Everyone liked them.  Fortunately, this group will be continuing in the new year and in the meantime, we shall all be meeting up in a local cafe, on a Wednesday morning to keep in touch with each other and to lend that listening ear.

I am hoping to get off to a Craft Fair this afternoon in the old Library building in Derby, I havent been in there for many years so it will be nice to have a look around.

Thank you for having a read today, I hope you have a great start to your weekend.  Tracey x

DAY THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY ONE - Trucking Along

Good morning, what a change in the weather.  As it was so mild on Sunday, I sent hubby up on his ladders to put up the Christmas lights around the house.  We wont switch them on just yet but it was a great opportunity to take advantage of the warm weather.  Yesterday was a bit windy but again, it was very mild.  Unfortunately today is not so warm and it is back to the thermals again.  It is Winter after all.

Mum hasnt been so good the last few days.  She should have gone for a scan of her heart but she just wasnt well enough to get dressed nor to stand up.   She was telling us that tomorrow (meaning today) she was off to my sisters for lunch.  She thought it was Christmas Day.  Such a cruel illness.

I went for an eye test yesterday and boy do my shoulders hurt today.  Being in one position for so long whilst the young lady tested my eyes on a machine which was so uncomfortable has caused a right flare up of the arthritis in my shoulders.  These things do happen.

I have been putting together Christmas cards over the last few days, bitting and bobbing and catching the odd hour or two in the craft room.  Its a slow process but I am getting there.

I created this with the Trucking Along stamp set which is still available and one of my favourites for all ocassions.  Full detailas of what I used is below.

If you would like to purchase any of these products, please click on the item and it should take you straight to the Stampin' Up! shop.  If you need help with ordering please get in touch and I can order them for you to be delivered to you.

Alternatively, if you live local to Derby I would be very happy to order them for you and you could collect them from me.

Did you notice the page with all the Online Exclusives? I do hope that this helps the folk that have been a bit confused by it all.

I have started  my Annual Sale of Retired crafting goodies.  If you would like to pop into the Craft Room to see what is available please, do let me know and you can call in for a brew and a browse, it would be lovely to see you.   If you are not sure where I am, let me know and I can send you my address .

Time to hit the shower and get myself ready for the day.  Thank you so much for having a read.  Tracey x

DAY THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY EIGHT - Attention Shoppers and Sale

Good morning, do you still have some snow?  We have a bit on our lawn but with all the rain that is forecast today along with the higher temperatures I am sure it will soon disappear. I was rather brave and went out (with hubby) as I was told the roads were clear.  Lots of layers on and was very careful but so pleased with myself for going out.

Been to see mum a lot this last week and having to nip to a few places to get some bits and pieces they need.  It is nice to have the time to do this and whilst she has had a few not so good days, she has also had good days in between.  She went to the hospital on Wednesday and had an injection in her shoulder.  She needs a new shoulder but she isnt up to the operation so the pain management team are injecting it.  She says it is to kill the nerve and she is not in so much pain with it now, so something is working.

Not a lot has been happening in the garden this week because it has been far too cold and too icy.  Everything was covered for a few days with snow and ice but we did manage to put a few of the more temperamental plants into the greenhouse prior to the cold snap.  Fingers crossed that they survive.  With the warmer weather over the weekend we may get out to do a bit of tidying up depending on the rain fall.

We had a few get togethers last month and we all had a go at making this card which was great fun.  We started with a Book Binding card base and then twisted it to make it an easle card too.

The stamp set and dies are from Stampin' Up! and are called Attention Shoppers.  A variety of designer series papers, ribbons and twines along with colouring in with the blending pens. One of the best things about Stampin' Up! and their products is the colour co-ordination and quality.  In my opinion there really isnt any better.   Lots of details below of what we used.

Didnt we all come up with wonderful cards.

I shall be holding my Annual Sale of Retired crafting goodies starting next week.

If you would like to grab yourself a bargain or two please, do get in touch and pop in for a brew and a browse, it would be lovely to see you.   If you are not sure where I am, let me know and I can send you my address .

Well I had best get myself ready as I have a lovely day planned today but its a full day.  Thank you so much for having a read.  Tracey x
