Good morning. So November has arrived and its quite a mild morning, 11 degrees currently in my neck of the woods. It wont get much higher today but thats okay as today is a day of chores inside the house. All those 101 little jobs that keep getting pushed to one side are finally going to get done throughout the day.
Did
you celebrate Halloween? We had a crafty get together last night but
not before my neice visited with her little ones, although they are not
so little now. George and Julie came with their hats on and
unfortunately, I didnt get a photo of me with mine, nor did I capture
Deborah earlier in the week. Note to ones self, take more photos.
I did manage to make some Halloween treats though
My feet havent touched the ground since we came back from our trip to Cyprus. Unfortunately mum got rushed into hospital and its been a bit of a roller coaster. Thankfully she came home yesterday and we shall be keeping our fingers crossed that she will stay in good health as long as possible. Her condition is getting worse with each passing day (vascular dementia and Alzeihmers) but we just take one day at a time and tackle whatever it throws at us. Dad is still doing a wonderful job caring for her but it gets tricky at times.
How
is your garden doing? I was very surprised to see that my garden has
still got flowers flowering especially the Sweet Peas. We had such a
rubbish start to the year with them, the first set of seeds never
sprouted at all. The second lot we put in (purchased new seeds) just
put on a little start and then stopped but I was rather pleased to hear
that lots of other folks had similar issues. Then the third lot we
planted took straight away, they grew and grew. Hubby had to put an
extension piece in on the trellis as they went up and up. We have never
had such tall plants. It's amazing to see the flower heads next to the
seed pods.
Well, I must get on and start my chores. No procrastinating during the month of November.
