DAY FIFTY EIGHT - Sale a Bration, Elements of Text on Blended watercolour card

 

Good morning.  I put my jab in yesterday (to help with the Rhumatoid Arthrisitis) so today will get better as the day goes on.  I do suffer side effects but they far outway the option of not putting the injection.  

The 'To Do" list is written.  I have a little ironing this morning and a bit of a tidy up.  I shall also be having a play with technology to see if I can learn something new which I do hope will help share my love of crafting.    

This afternoon I shall be in the craft room as I have left it rather untidy as I am sorting out/Spring Cleaning.

This evening is going to be a pure pamper session with some friends.  We shall have a little play with some Templespa products, have you heard of this English company?  Well they have lots of wonderful meditteranean products which are making a big difference in the condition of my skin.  Not to mention the beautifully presented gifts they offer which are so different to anything else I have seen.  Being an English company, using sustainable packaging, smelling devine and liking my skin is just too good not to use.   It all started with one cream and has grown from that so, we shall be having a really good girly night in.

Here is a card I made recently using the Elements of Text stamp set which is new and and Online Exclusive.  This stamp set will compliment any stamp set that you current own.

I have created this using watercolour card with lots of stamping, blending and colouring in with a damp paint brush.  I really enjoyed the time it took to create this and it was one of those cards that I wasnt sure I wanted to part with.  But the receipient has it now so I can share it.

DAY FIFTY FIVE - One Sheet Wonders and a Just Because card

 

Good morning and once again, the week begins.

I am having a slow start to the day as I want to catch up on a few things on the computer and it always takes a little time.  I shall try and nip out for a walk later but the legs are not the best but a bit of fresh air always makes me feel a little better.

The temperature in my neck of the woods was 9 degrees when I got up this morning but in Larnaca, Cyprus only has 1 degree which is unheard of.  My daughters are certainly feeling the cold today.

It is the last few days of Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration. This will end on Friday 28th February.

Sometimes we dont need a reason to send out a card and here is one of those cards.

 

 

This has lots of different techniques on it, stamping, matting and layering, blending, masking as well as a little decoupage.  Its a long thin card called a slimline as far as I am aware and it was loved as soon as it was opened.  It takes a long time to make something with so many elements but I got such great pleasure doing it.  

 

We had a wonderful day on Friday with our One Sheet Wonder Day and so many folk made so many cards.  This is just before we started

 

 So much inspiration and creativity all at the same time
