Card Inspiration

Friday

In the frame

Well my weekend has started WHOOP WHOOP.  This afternoon I shall go and clean up crafty space as it looks like we had a party in there, opps.  Then it will be the washing and a bit of pottering.  Tonight I shall do a bit of gardening and watering the plants and put my feet up early on.  I need a good nights sleep because tomorrow it is scrapbook day.

If you would like to spend the day scrapbooking or just call in to see what its all about, it would be lovely to see you.  This take place in Alvaston, Derby and its a case of doing your own thing.  Just bring your photos, card and anything else you have and make a page or two.  Details are below on how to get in touch with me.

A couple of years ago I went along to a class to make this.

So many people liked it and have given me lovely comments about it so last night we all got together to make something similar.  Here are the photos.

I dont know how to arrange the photos all in a group yet, something else I need to learn.

As we had so much fun, I shall be running another FRAME session on Tuesday 28th April at 7pm.  It takes about 3 hours and it is lots of fun.  The cost is £10 and that includes the price of frame.  Get in touch if you fancy making your own to either keep yourself or pass on for a birthday present, wedding present or just because you can. My phone number is 01332 721877 and email address tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com

SU ORDER - I am putting a cheekly little order in this evening, if you want anything from either of the 2 catalogues, the weekly deal or the clearance rack, let me know.

Have a great afternoon and thanks for having a read

First cutting of the grass for 2015

What a warm and Summery day it was yesterday.  The garden is looking lovely, thanks to Paul giving the grass its first trim for 2015.  I wonder how many times we have to cut it in a year, I will start counting.  The weather today is supposed to be cloudy with a temperature around 17 degrees so it should be nice.

And for the final cards for Sophia, which she loved.
Lots and lots of LOTV stamps used for this birthday and I really have liked making them.  The clean look is my favourite and, teamed with watercolouring, to me its heaven.  One of the best card making mediums that I enjoy a lot.

Yesterday was smashing.  Lots of lovely visitors, caught up on all the news and I even managed a bit of a chill as well.  Thank you for visiting ladies *waving* at you.

Today I am back to work for a few hours and then off to Dunelm, I purchased some new chair cushions and they are just far too big for the chairs.  Then its home, back into the craft room preparing for tomorrow nights Frame get together.  We are all going to attempt to make something similar to this.

If you would like to make something similar please get in touch.  There are 3 ladies that would like to do this so I am happy to run another get together if there another 3 ladies that fancy a go.  The cost is £10 and you do have to bring your own sticky stuff, everything else is provided.  The get together would take place in Derby in an evening.

The SALE yesterday went well and the amount of things I have left on the tables is a lot less than when I started.

More items in the Stampin Up clearance rack and I think you have to be quick to grab the bargains.  Just click HERE and it should take you straight to it.

Weekly Deals

I shall be placing an order tonight at 6pm, if you would like anything, do let me know.

Best get a wiggle on and get to work.  Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day

Tuesday

Foggy Tuesday

No work for me today, I get an extra day off for Easter as does everyone else that I work with. I have just re read yesterdays post and i cant believe how many spelling mistakes there are, I will be a bit more careful today.

Fog, goodness, it is thick fog out there.  I am having trouble with my internet / computer so I am sat outside, in the fog with a cuppa updating the blog.  The neighbours must think I am mad.

Wasn't the sunshine lovely yesterday.  I was a busy bee all day long but today, its socialising whoop whoop.  I do have to sweep up all the moss again though.

The house is clean, no washing to do and the crafty space is full of lots of lovelies for sale.  The cakes are made and the kettle will go on at half past one so if you are in the area, just call in.  If you are in Derby and would like venue details, let me know.  Same again tonight from 6.30.

I am sorting through my drawers, bit by bit as I have so many half finished projects that I am determined to finish and I have been putting all my sticky rolls in one place.
Every time I go out the house and see some sticky stuff on sale, I buy it.  I have tons of the stuff so if you are out with me, lead me away from the sticky stuff.

Another card made for the twins.  Sophia asked me to make this for Katerina as Katerinas nick name in Greek is Babkia, duck.

I am pleased to say, she liked it.  I need to get crafting to make more cards, but lots of other things to do first.

Off out for a quick coffee this morning, I love early morning get togethers as it sets me up for the whole day.

Thank you for having a read and have a wonderful day

Monday

Monday morning

Good morning from a sunny Derby.  The weather forecast for today is a high of 18 degrees whoop whoop.  That means that I shall be out there with my brush giving everywhere another good sweep.

I hope you had a lovely day yesterday and didnt eat too many eggs.  Unfortunately, I didnt get one this year, Paul was just so busy and concentrating on his man cave he didnt think.  Never mind, he did take me out for Easter lunch though.

I managed to get lots of moss up from around the house.  Our roof is covered in moss and despite asking so many people and companies to clean this off, not one of them has ever come back to us.  So the birds go on the roof and the moss falls on the floor.  I also but weed killer everywhere and did a bit of de weeding in places.

It was Harry's birthday yesterday and he was 7. Harry is our nieces son and I made his this card which I loved and I think I just may make another couple to pop in the box. Its a Lilly of the Valley stamp which I stamped out twice.  I coloured them both in and then cut one up to put on the top of the image on the card.
We went to visit Harry and all the family of course and had a lovely couple of hours catching up with everyone.

Today Paul leaves to work away from home for a couple of weeks and the sad bit is, he will be away for his birthday.  I have told him that we shall have a day out to celebrate, when he returns.  I shall have to find somewhere interesting for him to go. If you know of somewhere not too far away that is nice for a day trip out, do let me know.

I am doing a bit of baking today in my silly oven, all ready for tomorrow as its Tuesday at Traceys and I am having a sale.  I am not too sure if the last couple of Stampin Up orders will be here as the deliveries got all messed up with Easter and a day of training at SU.  Fingers crossed though.  If you are reading this and are local to Derby, please do pop round for a cuppa and cake.  There will be lots of crafty chatter and I am sure some laughter too, 1.30 till 4ish and then 6.30 till 8.30 ish.

I managed to get some windows cleaned yesterday YEAH.  I feel so much better for them being cleaner and Paul is going to do the kitchen one today, I just cannot get to it.

Well I will go and start my day, thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day, whatever you are up to. x

Sunday

Easter Sunday

Wishing everyone who reads this a very Happy Easter.  I know that not too many people send out cards for Easter but I always make a few for the family and here they are.

Not up to a lot today, just going to enjoy it as it comes.  Of course there will be some crafting involved at some time in the day, well it just wouldnt be right would it.

Yesterday we tootled off to Costco for a wander round and came home with some new garden lights and not a lot else, weren't we good?  I am looking for an actifry as Paul and I fancy having one to try out the food you can cook in it.  If you have one, let me know your thoughts.

We went to visit mum who is doing very well.  Still struggling with her arm obviously but its amazing that she hasnt had any pain, just the discomfort and awkwardness of it all.  It wont be long and she will be back to 100%.

All is well in my world today so its off to do a few chores and a relaxing breakfast.  I still havent done the windows, opps.

Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful Easter Sunday

Saturday

More girly cards

I have been thinking that we need to build an ark with the amount of rain we have been having, goodness.  I am really pleased to report that today, up to now, it looks quite dry outside so I have all my fingers crossed for a lovely day weatherwise.  I really would like to get the windows done.

Yesterday I was feeling rather 'blah'.  Cant put my finger on it but just not quite right, if you know what I mean.  A late start to today but afterall, it is a holiday weekend.

The twins had a nice birthday and I got lost of photos and messages throughout the day.  Katerina is returning to UK on Tuesday and she has had lots of her interviews ready for to finish her disertation.

As it was the girls birthday, I made cards for Christiana to give to her sisters too and of course, I had to make cards for the twins to give each other, so here are a couple more cards.

I am still in the process of cleaning the crafty space and sorting out drawers.  It will have it's hoover today, a day early.  Then of course, I just go in and play.

Well I am off to find a few birthday presents for Paul, its his birthday next week and I need to get everything ready, just in case he is not here.

I am having a bit of a sale on Tuesday, lots of retired stamps, lots of non SU stamps and other bits and pieces so if you fancy a cuppa and a cake, why not call in.  Not sure of the address, just let me know.

Thanks for having a read and have a lovely day

Wednesday

Birthday Girls

Another wet day, no windows again.  Mind you I have plenty to do inside.

Yesterday the electrician came as we have our distribution box in the bathroom and it had to be moved.  He encountered so many problems but at the end of the day, he moved the box and checked out all the electrics but, why is there always a but?  The mess made is unbelievable.  We have a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom and a hole in the ceiling above the washing machine in the utility.  Not a lot we can do until we fit the new bathroom but Paul will try and fix the holes, for now.  The dust is so thick everywhere that I shall just have to do one room at a time over the next few days, yikes.

I cant believe that it was 22 years ago that the twins made an appearance. April 1st babies.  Here are the cards that I made for them, from me.

They are both in Cyprus together this year
A break for them both before a busy month or two with exams.

Today is the new Weekly Deal from Stampin' Up!

I shall be placing an order on Sunday should you want anything adding.  Keep your eyes on the blog next week, Stampin' Up! will be adding more things to their clearance page, I will keep you posted.

Tuesday's at Tracey's next week.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that the Stampin' Up! orders will be here but with the Easter break, I may not be so lucky.  Next Tuesday I will be having a sale of lots of retired stamps so if you fancy a cuppa, a natter and a bargain, why not call in, it would be lovely to see you.

Off to get the pinny on and get dusting, cleaning, scrubbing and wiping down.  Thanks for having a read

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

I am starting to wonder if this is the start of 40 days and 40 nights of rain.  It has rained really hard in the night and on top of all the rain at the weekend, it really is bedding in all my new plants but, I want to clean windows and start sorting out the border at the front of the house, never mind.

Some good news, Christiana has received the chicks that I made and here they are, on her everything tree.  Yes she has an everything tree too.

She is off to the shop to buy some yellow ribbon and some yellow eggs to finish off the decorating.

The girls all went out Sunday night together and here they are, a rare photograph of the three of them together.

They had a lovely time and I just adore listening to their tales.

Today is the very last day of sale a bration.  All my orders have been submitted but we can get your goodies delivered direct to your door.  Let me know if you need any help.

Just look at this wonderful egg that I have been given, which is on my everything tree

Thank you so much Diane its beautiful and it is hanging on my tree, taking pride of place.  I am not sure if any of my family will be in Derby over the Easter period so it could be Easter with just Paul and I and I know where he will be.  His man cave is coming on a treat.  The insulation has been done, the plaster boards are all up and he has cleaned it all out.  It feels a lot more cosy now.  The flooring should be delivered today and then its a case of putting up the lining paper.  I guess over Easter, I shall be painting walls.

I have been having a practise on making my little flowers for a crafty session that I have in a week or sos time.

We are making a frame next week and this is something new for me in the crafty space. Fingers crossed it will all go well.

Well I had best get a wiggle on cause the electrician is coming today to move some boxes and bits that are in the bathroom......long story.

Thanks for having a read and, if you would like my newsletter which will go out later tonight, just let me know.  It will tell you what is happening and when.  Have a great day.
