Sunday

Sizzling Sunday

Each day is so very different from the previous one.  I am feeling so blessed to have such a wonderful family and loads of fantastic friends, life could have been just the opposite.

Friday was the last of the crafty week and what a fab week we had.  Lots of laughter, tears of joy, pain too (hope you okay P.Ann).  Cakes, coffees and cokes and time to put all the bits away until next time.

Our next get together is on Thursday night 17th April to make this.

There are a couple of places available if this is something you would like to have a go at.  Get in touch 01332 721877 or send me an email totracey.rossos2@hotmail.com

Friday I left everything out after the group left.  Saturday I got up thinking I would clear it all away (who knows who will visit) but instead, I went to Birmingham and met up with my youngest daughter and my sis came with me.

We had a great day but all to soon it was over and what did we buy?  Nothing, zilch, narda.  We couldnt spend our money, which was  a shame so off I came home, to do the cleaning.

2 DAYS LEFT - Just 2 days left of Sale a Bration.  Did you want free products with every £45 you spend?  Did you want to join Stampin' Up! grab £150 worth of SU goodies for just £99 .  I will be really happy to help in anyway I can with any questions or queries you might have, please, do get in touch.

My box of cards has grown and grown and grown.  If you need a card for any occasion, please do feel free to call round and purchase one or two from my boxes.  I cant really make any more cards until I have a little more space.

It's Derby Dabblers on Friday and there are quite a few demonstrations to make these.

If you fancy coming along please do, WE HAVE MOVED though.  We can now be found HERE

Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day

Up early today as lots of little bits and pieces to do before I go to work.  I do like getting up early but I do know where I will be at 9pm tonight.

Yesterday was a busy one but nice too.  No birthdays today, phew, unless I forgot someone, hope not.

We ate some of these the other night, they are lovely.

Wednesday

Midweek Musing

I hear that we could have snow by the end of the week, huh?  Fingers crossed we dont.

I had a wonderful evening crafting last night and by half past 10, the house was ready for viewing again lol.  Our viewer yesterday didnt turn up?  Never mind we have a few more booked in for today.

It was son in law and daughter in laws wedding anniversary yesterday and here is the card that I made for them.
I did tell you I had lots of occassions this month.

I was baking yesterday too.  Some lemon cakes, a Mary Berry recipe, so easy but I think that the topping was a little too runny, I will know for next time.  Then the red velvet ones were a recipe from Betty and how lovely they were too.

Have a lovely day what ever you are up to and thanks for having a read

Tuesday

Fancy making a couple of cards tonight?

It's Tuesday and wet outside.  A very damp day but inside it is warm and lovely.  We have our very first "viewing" this morning.  Someone is coming to see our house, yikes.  I have a few appointments to go to as well so its no work for me today YEAH.

Crafty week this evening and there are a couple of spaces available, if you are in the Derby area and would like to make cards.  Please give me a call on 01332 721877 to find out more.  We start at 7.30 for a few hours.

Yesterday was our daughter in Law and my Nieces birthdays so we went out for a bite to eat with Natalie, Rob and the family early on followed by a cuppa and cake with Kelly.  Here is the card that I made for Nat. I forgot to take a photo of Kelly's

Fingers crossed that the weather improves and thanks for having a read today.

Monday

Medals

Monday again and after another busy weekend, there is another busy week ahead.

Saturday started really early at the pool, cheering on Rob, Son in Law as he did 100 lengths, yes 100, in aid of charity.  He made it look so easy and how proud me and his dad were of him.  Here he is getting his medal.

As it was Robs birthday, it was back to the house for a cuppa, opening of cards and pressies.  Here is the card I made using a LOTV stamp.  I put crystal effects on the red paint but not sure if you can see it.

So by 10am we were at estate agents, visiting new house, stopping off for coffee and a catch up with family, shopping etc. etc.  Before we knew it, the day had gone.

Sunday was equally as busy as there was a spring fayre at the Round House and WOW, it was lovely.  We had a couple of hours of wandering round, taking it all in, some very talented people out there.  Then again it was lunch, in and out of the house, visiting etc. etc.  And  Monday arrives.

Tonight I have 2 birthday parties so lots of scrummy cakes etc., bang goes the diet for today.  Our house also went on the market for sale over the weekend, how scary is that?  Mind you, there is a great photo of the craft room.

And of course, its Crafty Week.  If you fancy making a couple of cards and something a little different tomorrow night, I have 2 spaces available.  Give me a call on 01332 721877 and I can tell you more.  Right, off to get the crafty stuff down for tomorrow.

Have a great day and thanks for visiting

Wednesday

Midweek Musing

I got caught up in the storms yesterday?  What storms you may think but they were there over the A38 when I went down it.  Blew my poor little car all over the shop.  I got myself well and truely lost but good old sat nav lead the way, in the end.

I spent a lovely afternoon chatting, drinking tea and having a cream cake.  A well deserved break.  Today it is going to be a little busy, after work I have visitors this afternoon, I am off making a delivery and there is a photographer coming to photograph the house, so it has to look spic and span.  Now that it is all looking fresh and spruced up, not sure I want to leave it.....

Only a few more days left now to grab yourself a freebie from Stampin' Up!  With every £45 spent, you get your hands on a free stamp set, or free papers, or free digital bits or free.....actually there are just lots to list.  Give me a call on 01332 721877 and I can tell you more.  Dont forget, you can still get £150 worth of SU products for just £99.  Call me and I can tell you more.  If there is anything that you need, my next order is going in on Friday.

TAH DAH

This is one of Jacqui's cards, isnt it lovely.  She sent it to me a while ago and for some reason it didnt show up in my email list.  I have found it now and here it is, very creative.

I came home today to a royal mail card through my letterbox.....they had put the parcel in my black bin OMG, I couldnt believe it.  It stinks in there, airing the box out now though.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Monday

Another start to another week

Good morning on this bright sunny Monday, which is due to be around 17 degrees, nice.  My diary this week is already looking busy but ohhh, so much fun.  Today I am home all afternoon and evening, waiting for my SU delivery and then it will be followed by a couple of ladies who are waiting for my call.  But that means all the ironing gets done, boring.

Tomorrow its a trip to Bretby followed by photographs on Wednesday, Duffield way on Thursday and Friday, well Friday I shall be shopping as a certain young person wants to visit.  In between all that I have cards to make, next week crafty week to finish and if that wasnt enough, I have packing to do.

Packing because the photographer that is visiting on Wednesday, is taking photographs of our house because we put an offer in for a house at the weekend and it was accepted.  We are on the move.  I am not daunted by it, too much.  I just dont know what to do with all the beautiful things I have because if I pack them away, I have to store them somewhere as we shall get people wandering though our house when it goes on the market.   Cant have boxes everywhere.  I am sure that I shall come up with a solution.

It was an action packed weekend, Horsley Woodhouse on Saturday, Shepshed on Sunday.  Then painting at home.  I have pinched this photo from Maz, in Shepshed at Love, Heart, Home, I do hope she doesnt mind.

If you havent been to visit Love, Heart, Home yet, ohh you are missing out.  Its a wonderful shop that is like a little alladins cave with lots of little bits for sale.  Not only that, Maz holds workshops for lots and lots of things too.  She has a facebook page so why not take a visit.

This is what we went to make, mine isnt quite finished yet.

Not too many days left of Stampin' Up! Sale a Bration.  Dont miss out on some fantastic offers.  Give me a call or I am happy to pop in to see you, to tell you all about it.

Must get a wiggle on and get myself to work.  Have a great day and thanks for having a read.

Saturday

Saturday - all day

Good morning and the weekend has arrived.  Well it did arrive yesterday and I spent a smashing evening at St. Edmunds Church making Christmas cards.  We all get together on the second Friday of each month to get a head start.  Its a wonderful group of ladies and we always end up laughing over something or nothing.  A nice evening out and for a price of £1.50, you couldnt ask for more.  The next one takes place on 11th April and you will be made most welcome if you fancy coming along.

I have a totally crafty weekendplanned as my hubby was supposed to be working away.  Guess what, his work has got all shifted around and he is home this weekend, opps.  So today I am off to a team training day at Horsely Woodhouse.  This is were lots of Stampin' Up! demonstrators get together to find out whats what, I hear we are having an active morning, that will be different.  Then after lunch its a crafty one for a couple of hours.  When I get home though, its going to be work, work, work as the house is going to be photographed for the sales brochures next week, yikes.  I have to put away all my pretties, my ornements etc. etc. and keep it minimalistic.  Should be fun.

Just look what I did

I had to take the grating up to remove my shoe and it was very badly marked.  I cant believe that I walked into it.  Paul soon went outside to check his grate, never mind my poor shoe.

I have been busy with a pom pom maker.  I am making these little babies for my white tree, for Easter.  I had never made one before last week.  If you fancy making one or two of these, we shall be doing them at the next Derby Dabblers get together on 4th April.  Save the date and come along.   You can make a few for Easter.  We shall also be making lots of other Easter related bits and pieces which I shall show you next week.
Another card out of the box for another surprise birthday.  Yes it surprised me no end.  Hope you have a wonderful day Chris.
Crafty Week is fast approaching.  I have had a couple of cancellations, change of dates etc. so if you fancy an evening spent making a couple of cards, eating home made cakes and chatting to other crafters, have a look at the events section of the blog for more details.  Looking forward to seeing you soon

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful Saturday.

Wednesday

Eye candy

Just a quickie today as I have to get my skates on.  We have road works on the main road that I use to go into the office each morning.  It is not a nightmare, it is worse than that.  I sometimes shake my head in amazement at what other drivers will do, to beat the queue.  They put so many lives at risk, by their stupidity and I dont know if they realise what they do.  When I leave work at lunch time it is worse.  I have now become a driver going down little side streets, like a little rabbit warren, getting home without all the hassle.  My 20 minute trip home was taking up to 45 minutes....phew.

Yesterday was Tuesday at Tracey's *waving* to everyone who nipped in for a cuppa and some cakes.  Here are some pictures of what I baked.

I had one small cake last night, wasnt I good.

Have a lovely Wednesday, back with more cards very soon.  Thanks for having a read

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

I cant believe how wonderful the weather is, a little bit of sunshine does us all a lot of good.  I love waking up to the sunshine and feel real lucky.

So today it's Tuesday at Traceys.  The mini cherry muffins are made, the orange cakes and the lemon cakes just need icing on them, which I shall do when I get home from my morning at work.

Yesterday, after my morning at work, it was home quick, a bit of shopping, a bit of baking and off out again.  The scales at fat club stayed the same last night, boo hoo but never mind, another week starts today.  I pick mum up on a Monday, well it saves dad having to go out twice doesnt it.  Then we normally meet dad in chippy cause me and mum have a cod roe as a treat but, dad has had an operation on his hand so last night me and mum got cod roe and took it back to theirs.  By the time I got home it was 9pm, can you believe that?  So I sat and watched the last of DCI banks before going to bed.

Here is a card I made a while ago, it is one of those I saw it and wanted to do it so I did it, if you know what I mean
I have used Gorgeous Grunge, Simply Stars and a sentiment that I had already got in my stash from Chalk Talk.  I shall just keep this one in my box for the right occasion.

My blood pressure is still very low, although it is rising most days at work but that is another story.  Even though my medication has been reduced, I have to go back to see doc as you never know but, it may have to be reduced even more?  I will keep you posted.

I saw this and just had to share it, I think it wonderful and if a brought a smile to my face, it may bring one to yours too

Well I must go and get myself ready for work.  Have a great day, sending you hugs and thanks for having a read.

Monday

Mondays Post

Wasnt the weather yesterday lovely?  I really did enjoy it but I didnt manage to go out into the garden to do too much tidying, maybe during the week, she says hoping.  I did have a walk though and it was great.

I also had a blast with some old CD's, yes, I sang the morning away whilst I got the chores done, the mirrors polished and finished all that washing.  The back door was open, the sun shone in and it was fabulous.  I have often skipped Sunday lunch, being on my own but I had great pleasure in making my lunch yesterday and it was yummy, if I say so myself.

How about this for another box that was made on Friday.  I think I shall be fillling theses with a little something and giving them to the ladies that made them at the next dabblers. Buffy made this one and I just finished it off, cute

Did you know that you can get a whole kit from Stampin Up! which includes

Here is just a selection of what you can make

Not long left now until the end of Sale a Bration - dont miss out on a bargain, get £150 worth of products for £99 or get your hands on some of the FREE products.  Hold a party and get additional freebies * I only have a few dates spare in March.  Call me on 01332 721877 and we can have a chat about what it all involves.

TUESDAY at TRACEYs tomorrow, it will be lovely to see you if you can make it.  Now I wonder what I can bake for you all?  I will get my pinny on after lunch today and come up with something I am sure.

Thanks for having a read and have a great day

Sunday

Spring has arrived

This morning is lovely and fresh outside (I was out there at 6am).  I may just take myself off for a walk this afternoon and go and sit for a while, well it is Sunday afterall.

I gave my computer a rest yesterday whilst I was in town, and it seemed to do the trick with downloading all the photographs.  As promised, here is one of the boxes made on Friday night.  TAH DAH

Town was an experience, it was lovely.  I managed to get a few things for my trip to Venice (yes off to Venice for Paul to sing just one cornetto to me in the Summer).  I got a new bag, as if I needed it and a few other essentials.  I had a lovely time and retail therapy suits me no end, honest.  Then it was a salad for lunch followed by making soup for the week.  When I get home from work I am so hungry so the soup saves me from picking naughty food.  I made two flavours, minestrone with pasta and veg.  It will go in the freezer tonight, speaking of which, I cut up, peeled and put all the fresh veg in bags to freeze.  I cant eat the fresh food quick enough when Paul is away so I freeze it.  Meal plan for the week ready, wow, what an achievement.

I managed to update the Derby Dabblers Blog, why not have a nip over to see.  This is a crafty group in Derby that has been running for quite a few years now.  We meet the first Friday of every month (well, mostly) and everyone is welcome.  Lots more details on the DD Blog HERE

So for today it is an at home morning, more washing and ironing, it will all get done by the end of this week and I hope to be making a few birthday cards this evening.  Sunday lunch of course, its all prepared and ready.

It is a busy week for me this week, all enjoyable though starting with a bit of baking tomorrow because its TUESDAY at TRACEYS.  It will be fabulous if you could come along for a natter either in the afternoon or the evening. Then  if you fancy a couple of hours card making for the men?  Thursday afternoon 1.30 at Bolton Lane Baptist Church.  Parking at the side of the church too.  The cost is a £1 donation and all you need to do is bring a few bits along to make a few mens cards.   Not forgetting Friday night is Christmas Card and Chatter night at St. Edmunds Church, Sinfin Avenue, Chellaston.  That starts at half past 6 and its £1.50 for the evening.  So you see, today I need to get organised.

Here is a card we made at a recent Stampin' Up! Party, I made a few than I needed as everything was cut out and ready, I didnt want it to sit in a drawer.  Perfect for the men in our lives.

I have used the fabulous Stampin' Up! stamp set called Wetlands and did a bit of masking.  The card is soft suade and ink, a little bit of the dauber in crumb cake and Early Espresso ink for the images.

Have a super day and fingers crossed it is as warm as it was yesterday, certainly spring like.

Saturday

A girls gotta do, what a girls gotta do

The weekend is here and hopefully, so is the sunshine.  The forecast is for a lovely day so fingers crossed, that is what we will get.

Yesterday after a non stop morning at work I went and did the weekly shop and the supermarket was empty, really it was.  I was so lucky.  I was home in less than an hour and then the afternoon was extremely busy.  Phone calls made and received, valuation of the house, hair cut and it all ended with a few of us at mine, crafting the evening away.

Unfortunately there were not enough of us to hold Derby Dabblers at the church hall so a few of us got together at mine and it was a very nice end to a very nice day. P.Ann came armed with a birds cream cake, it was rude to say no.  It was also great to meet Jasmine *sending a little wave*.  Hope to see you at the Derby Dabblers get together in April, if not before.  Now for the Derby Dabblers.......lots of gossip with this, I shall finalise a few details and let you know more next week.  Our next crafty get together in 4th April, save the date it will be an eggcellent evening out.

We made a few boxes, some worked out perfectly, others not too well.  I also had a go at doing my decopaching too, cant show the photos till April 1st.  Here is the box that I made, finished off - yes ladies, I stayed up till gone 12 to finish it.  For some reason mr blogger wont let me put the picture on to share with you so I shall sort that out for tomorrow....added to my TO DO list.

Here is one of the cards we made during Crafty Week in lovely Strawberry Slush, bright and vibrant.  Gorgeous Grunge, Simply Stars and lots of concentration.

So today for me I am off to do a little shopping, retail therapy is good for the soul, this will be followed by washing and ironing and cleaning of the oven YAKS.  A girls got to do what a girls got to do.

Just 23 days left for Sale a Bration.  DO NOT miss out on a bargain.  I would be so happy to tell you all about Stampin' Up! sale a bration, at any time that suits you.  Call me on 01332 721877 and we can arrange to have a cuppa and a chat.

Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day....you may need sun tan lotion today!!

Friday

The end of the week

Last night, after a hectic week so far, I was sat with my feet up.

Not sure where to start to tell you what I have been up to but everyday I have been up to something, having visitors, going out, sorting out, cleaning etc. etc.  Nothing really crafty related except cleaning my craft room, spotlessly.  In fact the whole house shines like a pin, ready for all those possible house buyers.  Yes, my house is about to go on the market, wish me luck.

Sale a bration is still going strong.  Would you like to hold a Stampin' Up! party during March or would you like to go to one?  How about a Saturday afternoon Stampin' Up! party?  If it is something that you would like to find out more about, do get in touch by either giving me a ring or drop me a line tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com

I saw this lovely card (well something similar) on one of the internet sites and I just knew it would be a great card to make and it was.

Lots of lovely ladies made this during crafty week, we also did a tag.  A great card for the box ready for a birthday.

Not enough for Derby Dabblers tonight so its a night in crafting as I have a few boxes I would like to make.

Tuesday at Tracey's this week.  Please do call in for a cuppa, a natter, see what is new in the Sale a bration, place and order, sign up, anything you fancy crafting related.  It will be great to see you.

I promise to catch up with emails, text messages, phone messages etc. this afternoon, as soon as I have had my lunch.  Apologies for any delays but I am sure you understand.

Have a wonderful Friday
