Sunday
Spring has arrived
This morning is lovely and fresh outside (I was out there at 6am). I may just take myself off for a walk this afternoon and go and sit for a while, well it is Sunday afterall.
I gave my computer a rest yesterday whilst I was in town, and it seemed to do the trick with downloading all the photographs. As promised, here is one of the boxes made on Friday night. TAH DAH
Town was an experience, it was lovely. I managed to get a few things for my trip to Venice (yes off to Venice for Paul to sing just one cornetto to me in the Summer). I got a new bag, as if I needed it and a few other essentials. I had a lovely time and retail therapy suits me no end, honest. Then it was a salad for lunch followed by making soup for the week. When I get home from work I am so hungry so the soup saves me from picking naughty food. I made two flavours, minestrone with pasta and veg. It will go in the freezer tonight, speaking of which, I cut up, peeled and put all the fresh veg in bags to freeze. I cant eat the fresh food quick enough when Paul is away so I freeze it. Meal plan for the week ready, wow, what an achievement.
I managed to update the Derby Dabblers Blog, why not have a nip over to see. This is a crafty group in Derby that has been running for quite a few years now. We meet the first Friday of every month (well, mostly) and everyone is welcome. Lots more details on the DD Blog HERE
So for today it is an at home morning, more washing and ironing, it will all get done by the end of this week and I hope to be making a few birthday cards this evening. Sunday lunch of course, its all prepared and ready.
It is a busy week for me this week, all enjoyable though starting with a bit of baking tomorrow because its TUESDAY at TRACEYS. It will be fabulous if you could come along for a natter either in the afternoon or the evening. Then if you fancy a couple of hours card making for the men? Thursday afternoon 1.30 at Bolton Lane Baptist Church. Parking at the side of the church too. The cost is a £1 donation and all you need to do is bring a few bits along to make a few mens cards. Not forgetting Friday night is Christmas Card and Chatter night at St. Edmunds Church, Sinfin Avenue, Chellaston. That starts at half past 6 and its £1.50 for the evening. So you see, today I need to get organised.
Here is a card we made at a recent Stampin' Up! Party, I made a few than I needed as everything was cut out and ready, I didnt want it to sit in a drawer. Perfect for the men in our lives.
I have used the fabulous Stampin' Up! stamp set called Wetlands and did a bit of masking. The card is soft suade and ink, a little bit of the dauber in crumb cake and Early Espresso ink for the images.
Have a super day and fingers crossed it is as warm as it was yesterday, certainly spring like.
