Sunday

Sundays post

It is very windy outside this morning, I havent seen the forecast yet so I dont know what the day has in store for us.

For me, it is more packing.  I am really pleased to say that the craft room is all done, with the exception of a few bits that I may need.  Well you just never know do you.  Today I will start with the washing and then start to sort our my handbags and shoes and get those boxed up ready to go.

Yesterday I asked what you thought the essentials were, for crafting.  For me, apart from the usual craft kit I have left out my box of SU markers as I can use these to stamp with.  Also my marveys have been left out.

My box of thank you cards in the tin cant be packed away just yet
Scissors have to stay too, I use them all the time

This was an empty box that I will put bits and pieces in as I go along
My box of scrap card.  I use this first when making cards so this will be a last item to pack

This stamp set is nearly the most used one that I have. It is pocket silhouttes from Stampin' Up! and no matter what the occassion, I can always make a card using this.
I have left my watercolor books out as I have been meaning to have a play for a while and this is the perfect chance.  An opportunity to unwind when things get a bit tough.
Got to keep the glue, glitter and embossing powders at hand, just in case
A clear desk so that I can just nip in and create a crafty piece, when I get the time.

Speaking of crafty pieces, here are the thank you cards that I have made for this months Stamperettes.

This is the last of the 10 months for the group which has flown past again.  The next one will be starting with the new catalogue and if you would like to be in this group, let me know as I am already taking names.  This is where 10 people commit to spending £15 each month for 10 months.  During this time each person will be a hostess and get at least £25 of SU goodies, totally free.  I will keep reminding you of this, just in case you fancy joining a group.

Opps a reminder to current Stamperettes, order are needed tomorrow please at the latest.

I have found boxes PHEW,  I have to go this morning and collect as many as I can get in my car so, wish me luck.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a great day

Saturday

The hunt is on

Good morning on this very wet and soggy Saturday morning.  Oh yes, it is raining but hay, that is okay and I shall be spending most of my day indoors.

The craft room is sounding very echo ey today.  The shelves are empty, the boxes are piling up and I just have my desk to clear.  This does mean of course that I cant make any more cards which is such a shame, hopefully I have left enough emergency supplies out to finish off a few cards though.

What would you call essential supplies?  I will take a photo of what I have left out and show you tomorrow.

Although I cant make cards, here is one that I received for Easter, from Ruth, isnt it wonderful.

Thank you Ruth.  I didnt know that I had received this card until I went to hoover and mop my hall and lifted up the carpet.  What a lovely surprise I had to find this card underneath the carpet.

Today I am on another hunt for boxes.  Where I will put them when they are full is another question for later on but today, I have to go and find some.  Yesterday I went to five shops and came home with 2 boxes.  I also have a pile of items that I wont be using again which is getting bigger by the day, opps.

Stampin' Up! have some great deals for this week
You may have to click on the image to make it a bit bigger.  If there is anything here that you would like, please do let me know before 5pm on Tuesday.

Today, in between packing, looking for boxes and cleaning, I will be answering all my emails, returning calls and generally trying to catch up with everyone.  I had best not start just yet as it has only just turned 6am.

Thanks for having a read, have a wonderful day whatever you are up to and, if you know where I can find some empty boxes, do let me know

Thursday

Thursdays Allsorts

Good morning and another early start for me again today.  I have been taking my neice to work for 7am a few mornings this week, so its early to bed and early to rise.

The sunshine has been working wonders in my garden.  I am going to have to take lots and lots of cuttings of all my plants as they are looking wonderful this year, and I dont want to leave them but I know I must.

During our trip to Venice, down the little back streets, round the alleys and the dark corners I found a shop, just a small one, selling bound books, fountain pens, cards, inks and rubber stamps so of course I had to purchase one.  There was not a lot of choice but, this little fella was perfect.

On the train going in to Venice each day we saw three wooden poles, tied together, in the sea with gulls at on the top of them.

Yesterday I spent over 7 hours on the telephone to friends, family and others but it meant that I couldnt do any packing.  I love talking to everyone but I really must crack on today (or get an afternoon job in telesales).

I came across these two cards that I had made to show someone but not shown them so here they are.

Lots of Crystal Effects all over them but it doesnt show too much on the phototgraphs.

Thanks for popping by today.  Have a great day and fingers crossed that we get a bit of sunshine.

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

No work at the office for me today YEAH, instead I am still packing up my craft room.  It really is a big job and whilst I know it has to be done, it is hard work too.

Well the weekend was a great one.  I drove to Preston to see Katerina and loved it.  The drive was so peaceful on the way there and no incidents on the way back.  I met more of her friends, we ate, we laughed and we went out for a lovely walk on Easter Sunday, here are a couple of photos from the park,

Derby is featured quite a lot in this Preston walk.  Here is the Easter Cake

A great time, thanks Rina xx

Here are some photos of some cards we made recently.

Stampin' Up! have some fantastic embossing folders which I have teamed together with different coloured card/ink and a sentiment.  I loved making these as I think they are really elegant.  I hope you like them.

I am hoping to finish the craft room off today in between some food shopping, washing and ironing as well as getting everything ready for tomorrow for work.

The weather in Derby isnt too good at the minute, I am glad I am staying indoors.  Have a great day, what ever you are up to and thanks for having a read

Happy Easter

Happy Easter

I hope that everyone has a lovely day today.  Here are a couple of cards I made and some cakes.

Today I should have been able to get up, have a shower, breakfast, grab my pre packed bag and go to visit my youngest daughter.  Well, I overslept to start with.  Jumped in the shower (okay eased in) only to find that the water was cold brrr.  Towels were not in bathroom cause I had washed them all and forgot to take them out of the drier so I dripped to get a towel.  Back in the bedroom, moving around all the packed boxes and get myself dressed and this is how my morning, so far has been.  My pre packed bag wasnt,  it is a good job all the cakes were made.

Downstairs looks like a bomb went off in the night, how can 1 person make such a mess?  Never mind, I shall do something I have never done before, I shall walk away from the packing, the pots and all the hic cups in my life at the moment and take a drive up the M6.

Have a lovely Easter and I will be back as soon as I can x

Saturday

Easter Makes are ready to go

It is a very early start for me today.  The birds singing away woke me just after 5 so I thought I would get up and make the most of the day.  My washing machine is already on and it isnt 6am yet.

Yesterday I went and sorted out my telephone which had been playing up.  I kept getting a messge Invalid SIM, I couldnt make calls nor receive them, the same with messages.  A very nice young man in the shop really helped, he was extremely polite, made loads of calls to his head office and in the end, changed my SIM card.  I went to pay him as he had already said it would be £10 and he said no, I dont want payment, have a happy easter.  How wonderful.

I had coffee with a friend in the morning, did more packing in the afternoon, a bit of food shopping and some accounts but sadly, I didnt start my baking due to lots and lots of visitors and phone calls.  So today I will just plod though all the bits I need to do.

This weeks Weekly Deals are below:

If there is anything here you would like to purchase, please do let me know.  There will be a 50p p+p charge unless you would like the items delivered straight to your home, which is £4.99.  A couple of things have already landed in my basket, opps.  I really cant resist a bargain.

The last of the chicks are ready and will be leaving the craft room today,  I have made these for the grandchildren and for the big children in Preston.
The same goes for the Marks and Spencer Easter Chocolate Bars, all wrapped and ready to go.
I have loved making these, something very different from what I normally do,

Onwards and upwards as Paul says.  Have a wonderful Saturday x

Friday

Easter Friday

I hope everyone has a wonderful Good Friday.  The picture above is my daughters in Cyprus, who has been decorating her eggs.  On Sunday her friends will all have an egg and they will bang their eggs against other eggs. The person who ends up with their egg without breaking, will win.....win what I am not sure, just the fact that they are an egg champion.

Last night we had a wreath making get together and here is mine.  It was a lovely evening and whilst I didnt manage to get my wreath done last night, I was up at 5am getting it finished.

Here is my craft table now and sadly, this has to all go away for a few weeks.
I am still very busy packing and have decided to spend as much time as possible over Easter packing away the majority of my craft room.  This is the biggest job so once that is done, I can concentrate on the rest of the house.

We have had a few quotes on removals OMG, I need to take out a mortgage to pay for some of the companies.  One of them was more interested in selling me additional insurance than moving my belongings......I wont be using them.

Here are a few photos from our trip to Venice, which really was amazing.  I cant put into words how it felt to be there.

Thank you for having a read and have a lovely day
