Mondays catch up with the Hues of Happiness Collection from Stampin' Up!

Good afternoon from a rather wet Derby. We have had quite a lot of drizzle so everywhere is a little soggy outside. The temperature has dropped too so I have an extra layer of clothes on. Trying to refrain from putting the heating on.

What a lovely weekend we have had, a crafty get together Saturday afternoon and yesterday was spent putting the house back in order. I didnt manage to do all of it so finishing off today. Then later this evening, I hope to be in the craft room moving things around.

I shall be having lots of crafty items for sale over the next couple of days as I have far too many that I just cant use them all. I will start a new page here on the blog and share these with you. If you would like anything, please do let me know. I shall advertise them elsewhere too.

Here are the cards that were created in The Craft Room during the month of May

This is another card, from the same Hues of Happiness Suite that Sallyann created.

The dies from this set actually cut out the flowers on the Designer Series Paper. Isnt it pretty?

There is only today (Monday ) and tomorrow to grab a bargain with the Stampin' Up! starter kit.

Should you wish to sell some products to friends and/or family, you can do this too. You can also hold classes, parties and demonstrate the products if you wish. The choice is yours.

However, should you purchase the starter kit and then decide that you dont want to do any of the above, nothing is lost, you just get to keep the kit. There is no catch and nothing to pay back. Hues of Happiness Collection, Hull and lots of photos

Good morning and thanks for popping in for a read.

We have just had a wonderful weekend away in Hull. It was the city of culture in 2017 and wow its a beautiful place. The reason for the visit was to see The Jersey Boys at the theatre and it was exceptional. If you like Franki Valli and his music it really is one to go and watch.

Whilst we were there we had a visit to Hull Minster and a wander around the very old streets.

We visited The Deep which is an aquarium and it was lovely. This fish kept coming over to us. There was lots to see and we went in the seethrough lift through the shark tank, very brave.

Lunch was a sit at the marina for a sandwhich and a coffee.

On the way home Paul wanted to go over the Humber Bridge, which we did. It is over 2km long and amazing. You can see for miles when you are on it.

Then we had a stop off at Lincoln Cathedral.

What an amazing place Lincoln is. So much so that we plan to return and see more of it.

We recently had a Creative Crew get together to play with a whole suite called Hues of Happiness Collection. In this collection you get a stamp set called Happiness Abounds, pretty Hues of Happiness Designer Series Papers, Blossoming Dies and 180 self adhesive Glossy Dots. There are pictures of all these below. I think it is great that you can purchase the stamp set alone, or get the stamps and dies as a bundle with 10% discount. You can also purchase the pretty papers on their own or if you like everything, there is the whole collection that you can get.

Here is a card that Sally created using part of the collection.

She has die cut out some of the images from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Papers, added a sentiment and created a tent folded card with circle dies. Isnt it smashing. The dies fit around some of the flowers on the Designer Series Paper which is perfect for creating lots of cards.

Are you local to Derby and fancy an evening with other crafters. Derby Dabblers is taking place again this Friday night from 6pm. An old un but a good un (the card, not my dad)

Good morning. Up at the crack of dawn today as I have a few things to finish before my hubby whisks me off to Kingston upon Hull. Yes we are off to Hull to watch a show this evening and to have a day of exploring tomorrow. This is all part of my birthday treat, I am so lucky.

If anyone local is passing by today or tomorrow and would like to check the garden, the hose is opposite the greenhouse and the seedlings would love a drink of water if it is hot. The gate by the front door is unlocked. Thank you.

It was dads birthday on Wednesday, yes he celebrates on the same day as my sister. This was the card that I made for him, an old retired set of stamps but perfect for dad. He had a garden full of us all too, myself and sis and son in law, two of his grandchildren (one with hubby) and two of his great grandchildren. We may have been a bit too much especially as the dog was there as well. We do like seeing both mum and dad on special occasions as well as each other of course. Fingers crossed we will get out for a meal in the near future as that is what we normally do but with after school clubs (great grandchildren) and work (grandchildren) it is hard to pick the right day.

Happy Birthday Sister with gilded leaves

Good afternoon, its a tad warm outside but not sunny.

All the chores I am going to do today have been done and now it is time to go into the craft room for the afternoon. Before I go I just wanted to share the card I made for my sister

She loved it, which was a good job.

It was one that I started using the gilded flakes with on Tuesday. It was finished off and I am so pleased with the result. I will be making a few more of these. In fact, everyone has really liked it so much that we are having another get together on Wednesday 8th June. If you wanted to come along please do get in touch. We shall start around 6.30pm for a couple of hours. Everything I used to make the card is listed below. The greeting was typed onto the computer before being cut out.
