Good morning, woken up to the sun shining and it is lovely and warm outside. I have already been out and had a wander around the garden. The rain we had last night has done it a world of good and we have a few flowers blooming now. We still have lots in the greenhouse ready to be planted but not enough time to do everything.
Yesterday we had a get together with gilding flakes. I havent had a brilliant experience with these in the past but I was so pleased with how everything turned out yesterday, not everything is finished but that is something to have a go at today. Here are the makes that myself and lots of other friends created.
The get together that we had was a day full of learning, laughter and creativity. We created lines with double sided tape and added the flakes, dots with flakes and then stamped and coloured images before adding flakes. Stamps were glued and then flakes were added to them, as well as backgrounds on tags. Not to mention the stunning frames that we all had a go at. We tried different glues, different flakes and generally had a great time. Some things works and some didnt but that was part of the fun.
Only once did we have to close the door due to the wind getting up and yes, the craft room is rather shiney this morning but it all adds to the charm. I have been asked to arrange another session with gilding flakes so I will let you know when we have a date. If you would like to come along, you are most welcome to.
