Good morning, and what a lovely start to the weekend I have planned today despite my 4.30am start.
I am off to Dunelm first thing as mum wants some new towels to go into her new bathroom. I am off to find a rubber backed bathmat so that she can decided on towel colours once the bathmat is found. We cant risk her having a bathmat that doesnt have a rubber backing as they are very slippy. Once the bathmat colour has been sorted, we can then get the towels purchased. There is method in her madness, excuse the pun. She then wants fruit and quite a bit of it so I will be getting that too.
This evening we are all having a crafty get together.
Why not come along and join us, it really will be a lovely evening. A game of bingo always causes a laugh or two. Get in touch if you would like to find out more, my contact details are below or just turn up.I was so inspired by a set of projects created by Kim Fee recently, using Natures Harvest stamps that I made this.
- First of all I stamped out the images using stazon ink on to post it notes and cut round them.
- The flowers were then stamped out onto Basic White card and I put the post it notes on top to cover them up.
- Using a blending brush and Coastal Cabana ink, I gently added colour around the flowers. This did take quite a lot of time as I was being very gentle.
- I got a water brush and flicked some droplets of water onto the card so that they would show up.
- The largerst flower heads were stamped out once more, again on to Basic White card and fussy cut out.
- The sentiment was stamped in versamark and sprinkled with white embossing powder before heating up and cutting out with my new favourite dies.
- All the post it note masks were then removed and the extra flower heads were put onto the card using 3D foam pads (dimensionals).
- Everything was stuck to a Basic Black card base.
I really am so very pleased at how this turned out. A full list of what I used is below and should you wish to purchase anything, dont forget we still have Sale-a-Bration so you could get FREE Stampin' Up! goodies too.
I had best get myself ready for a lovely day and I hope yours is too. Thank you so much for having a read. Tracey x
