Midweek Musing

Good morning and the rain is back, yeah.  Mr. weatherman says it will rain for the next two hours so I shall stay in and carry on the doing the chores.  I dont mind the rain as it waters the garden.

Would you like to spend an evening here in the Craft Room making a couple of cards.

Please do get in touch if you would like to come along.

Here is a card that I have finally finished.
It was made quite some time ago but it didnt have an insert.  It is now finished off and in my 'for sale' box.  They are quite strong colours but a lovely combination.

We have been doing even more bits and pieces around the house but since Paul started using the new lawn treatment, it has taken yet another turn and become very lush.

So much so, the ants have made their home in it.  A bit of powder has been put down to try and get rid of them.  He has put the treatment on the front lawn as well and it is making a massive improvement.  It is very green and getting thicker all the time. Fingers crossed that we can get this looking good too.

Do you fancy joining the Stampin' Up! family.  There are only two weeks left to get your starter kit (which you choose yourself) delivered FREE to your door.  It will cost you £99 but for that you get FREE delivery, FREE catalogues to hand out to friends, neighbours and family.  Then you have £155, yes that is right £155 to spend on products including the new Autumn/Winter pre order.  If you would like to find out more get in touch and I can explain in more detail.

I cant tell you how many items I have for sale on the Dresser.  If you would like to call in for a browse, please do.  I shall be placing a little order at the end of next week.  If you would like to add anything to this order, do let me know.

Thank you for having a read today.  Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday, despite the weather.  Tracey x

Thursday

A watercolor Thank You

Good morning.  I waited all day for those storms yesterday and we didnt have one.  A bit of a downpour and that was it.  Well today the forecast is just cloudy with a high of 23 degrees, so another nice day.

I shall be in the craft room this afternoon if anyone would like to call in.  Here is a card that I made as a Thank You.

The stamp is from my stash but the colours used are the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils.  If you havent tried these before I can certainly recommend them.  They go on so well, blend easily and you can get really nice results.  I normally use them on Stampin' Up! Shimmery White card and then you get a little bit of a sparkle with your image too.

Thank you for having a read today.  I hope you have a great day whatever you are up to.  Tracey x

A Beautiful Friendship

Good morning and another nice day but with thunder storms forecast.  Actually the thunder storm yesterday didnt happen, we had rain for about 10 minutes and that was it.  We shall see if we get one today.

It was a craft room day yesterday and the time soon sped by.  Ruth kept me company for the day and I felt that we had a very productive one. I got quite a few little jobs sorted and had a play with a new stamp set or two.

Here are the thank you cards that I shall send out this month.  I have used a new stamp set called Beautiful Friendship and I saw something very similar on facebook but I changed it around a little.

To make this card
  • Take an A4 sheet of Crumb Cake card and cut it in half, this gives you two card bases.
  • Score along the long side at 10.5cm
  • Using the large flower head stamp and crumb cake ink, stamp in two opposite corners of the base card.
  • Die cut the largest of the Stitched Nested Labels die using Very Vanilla card.
  • Using Grapefruit Grove ink, stamp out the large rose looking flower towards one of the points of the die cut.
  • In the opposite corner with Rococo Rose (stamped off once), stamp out the single rose head.
  • With the leaf stamp and Soft Sea Foam ink, stamp these out around the single rose head.
  • Add a sentiment in Crumb Cake ink
  • Add a few spakles
  • Stamp the large rose looking flower heads onto a crumb cake envelope.
Now I dont know for sure the names of the flowers so I do apologise if I am mistaken.  If you would like to come along and make this card why not get in touch and I can show you how we did it.

Dont forget this Friday night if you have a couple of hours free.

It would be lovely to see you and we will have some fresh home baked cake too.

The Craft Room is open this morning between 9.30 - 11.30 if anyone would like to collect their items or browse the dresser and again this evening after 6pm.  Happy to put the kettle on.

Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a smashing Wednesday.  Tracey x

Silk Painting with a Piece of Cake

Good morning and its another warm and muggy start to the day.  Mr. Weatherman says we are due to have T storms (thunder) and lots of rain around 3pm today so if you go out, take your brolly.

Last week I watched Jackie do some screen printing on to T-Shirts.

Having never seen this before I was quite impressed in the way that the T-Shirts turned out, here they are all left to dry.  These are going to be sold at a local bazar which I hope to tell you all about tomorrow.

A card that was made using Stampin' Up! new In Colours and some lovely matching small checked papers.

If you would like to see more of the new colours and papers, please do get in touch as there are lots of new products in the 2019 - 2020 catalogue.  This lovely stamp set, A piece of cake has its own co-ordinating punch too.

Friday night is the Christmas Card and Chatter night.  This is where we meet up in the craft room and prepare bits and pieces for Christmas.  I am trying to get a head start on my Christmas cards, others bring knitting, home decorations, present to make etc. etc.  Everyone brings their own materials and we just work and chatter the evening away.  You are most welcome to join us.

It is a day in the craft room for me today.  I am expecting a few parcels so have to stay home.  I got up early because as usual, I am excited at the prospect of being in my favourite place.  Thank you for having a read today and I hope you have a Terrific Tuesday.  Tracey x

Second attempt at posting today

Good morning and hello to a new week.  This is the second attempt at writing today.  At 8am this morning mr. blogger decided not to play ball and shut it all down, fingers crossed it will work now.  I typed everything out and lost it all.

Paul has started his wind down from work which means that he only works half of the week so he is not at work today and in fact, he has said he is not working any more Mondays.  I went to the Slimming Club this morning and lost another little half a pound.  I am going to UP my game this week and hopefully get rid of another pound or two by next Monday.

Here is a card that I finished off.  It was in my pile of half completed pojects which is now shrinking rather than growing.

I do hope to spend this afternoon and evening in the craft room, well it is make room Monday (more items added to the sales table) and to make some thank you cards.  Tomorrow there will be a few boxes arriving with the UPS man as lots of little orders will arrive.  If you would like to call in tomorrow evening to collect that would be great.

Stampin' Up! still have a wonderful offer on for the month of August.  If you join the Stampin' Up! family you can benefit from £155 worth of SU goodies for the price of £99 and you will also get an additional £8 voucher to spend next month.  It really is something to consider if you have been thinking about doing this.  If you would like a little more information please do get in touch or why not pop in for a cuppa and a chat.

Thanks for having a read today and I do hope you have a magical Monday.  Tracey x
