Christmas Wreath making with friends

Good morning and wishes for a Merry Monday as well as a Happy New Week. Are you just about there or do you still have loads to do? I think I am nearly there, lots of last minute bits to do but happy to do them at my pace througout the week. I couldnt do it without my 'To Do' list though.

Yesterday I managed to finish off everything that I had left from the previous week so that was an achievement but didnt complete my list of bits for Sunday. Nevermind, I will get them done first thing this morning.

I had lots of festives last week including another Wreath Making Class. Oh my I had a wonderful time.

We had lots of fun and plenty of laughter. There were 26 of us and a lovely lady from a local florist, Petals Flowers came and showed us what to do. I already have the dates for next year and I think we will have an Easter Wreath Making get together, do let me know if you are interested.

Well I had best get myself in the shower as I have to nip to the post office first thing. The last of the Christmas cards need posting out as today is the last day for second class postage. All the others have gone but not sure what the delivery times are like this year.

Thank you so much for having a read and I hope you have an amazing Monday. Tracey x

Sunday

Always in our hearts

Good morning, so today in Cyprus my Cypriot family will be attending a church rememberance service for my eldest daughter who sadly passed away five years ago. She fought a long and hard battle with a very rare conditional called schleroderma.

The picture above is Koliva (whole wheat grains, almonds, pomegranates, sesame seeds, sultanas plus more). Koliva is the sweet offering that is made to commemorate our loved ones who have passed away at their memorial (mnimosino) service in Cyprus. Koliva is prepared and taken to the church service to be blessed during the prayers for the dead. For us, this rememberance service in Cyprus takes place today, the last Sunday prior to the Christmas Festivities as we lost Christiana on Boxing DayOnce the Koliva has been blessed it is scooped up into paper bags to distribute to the church goers after the liturgy.

I am having a quiet day, catching up on bits and pieces and making sure I am ready for the week ahead. Trusting you will have a super Sunday and thank you for having a read

Birthday cards, catalogues and sales

Good morning, just 9 sleeps to go before Santa is due to visit. I wonder how you are getting on with your festive arrangements. I still have one Christmast card to make, hubbys. All the rest are made, written and posted out. It has taken me a whole year to do them but they are done. I can honestly say that the Festive Fridays that we have throughout the year has really helped. Making a few cards each month to finish off in November really does give me a good start. I have already got the January one sorted out.

It was a friends birthday recently and this is the card that I passed on

As you can see, I am still using the Brushed Brass Butterflies from Stampin' Up. I must admit to liking a 'book binding fold' card. That is the style of card that this is. The papers used are from the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper with some linen thread down one side. The sentiment label was created using the Very Best Trio Punch and must be one of my most used punches of the moment. I put 'of the moment' as I have so many favourites. If you would like to replicate this card, or make something similar and dont have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator near by, please let me know as I shall be happy to show you how to do do.

I have listed all the items I used below and if you go to traceyrossos.stampinup.net, you can place an order for these there.

Today I am spending the majority of it in my craft room as I have been lucky enough to get a few things from the new and upcoming Stampin' Up! brochure. If you would like a copy of the brochure please get in touch (all my details are below) and we can arrange for you to collect one if you are local or I can pop one in the post to you.

I will be meeting up with some friends for a cuppa this afternoon which I am really looking forward to, it is so nice to have a catch up.

Stampin' Up! will have a new Mini Catalogue starting in January 2024 as well as the Sale a Bration. If you dont have a local demonstrator to give you these catalogues but would like one, please do get in touch as I have them all ready to pass on. I shall be in the craft room this evening and most of tomorrow so you are more than welcome to pop in.

If you didnt know, Stampin' Up! have an amazing offer running all the way up to 3rd January on products in their mini catalogue, that is the one in the picture below. There is up to 60% off some products. If you click on the image, it will open up on a new page for you to have a browse through. I must let you know that some items may run out and once they do, they wont be returning.

Starting the month with crackers

Oppps, we woke up to snow today. It does look wonderful outside and it is so so quiet but then again, it isnt even 6am yet. I have had 7 hours proper sleep and feel refreshed and raring to go which is good as I have a lovely day planned, which includes being in the craft room for a while.

I am still using my CPAP machine each night and really feeling the benefits. The RA seems to be under control today so a great start all around.

I started with the intentions of having a crafting Christmas throughout the month of December. For the first day of the month I created these wonderful Christmas Crackers using a Stampin' Up! Die, full details are below.

I have so many pretty Christmas papers and it was time to use some of them up. With help from two amazing friends, we cut out the crackers on the die cutting machine. One end was tied up with twine and then they have been filled with some small chocolates. The other end has been tied and they are all ready for my crafty get togethers later this week.

For day two of December I picked up three lovely ladies and off we went through fog and freezing weather to make a Christmas wreath and I loved it.

I will get this hung today and all finished off and I shall take another photo of it so you can see what it is properly.

I have decided that I do need to take more time out, for me to do other types of crafting and to get out and about a little more. So if you know of a crafty event in or around Derby do let me know so that I can plan on being there.

I feel so lucky as I am now working on a new computer that we purchased during the amazing Black Friday deal. Things have been transferred over and it is up and running and wow, what an amazing improvement. I do still have 31,412 photos to sort through but a little each day and I should get them done. One question I am asking myself though is "do I need all the photographs of the cards I create". I am not so sure I do, oppps.

By clicking on the Up to 60% image below, you will see all the discounted prices on the products in the Mini Catalogue.

Well thank you for having a read today. I do hope you have a super Tuesday x
