Picture Perfect

Good morning and welcome to the new working week.  Well to be honest it is a working week for those that work, saying no more.

We had a great weekend, even popped out a couple of times.  I did ALL the washing including bed sheets so silly me has lots to iron as and when I can.  As Paul could go away tomorrow for a couple of weeks I guess the ironing board will be out this afternoon yaks.  We managed to plant up all the plants, get the garden looking nice and see some family too so all in all, it was nice.  I do like the extra day with Paul being home as well.

Saturday was a lovely day with the new crafting get together.  Everyone seemed to have a nice time and as usual, the morning flew by and before we knew it, it was time for everyone to leave.  The next get together is this Thursday which I am looking forward to.

Here is a card that I was inspired by, especially as it is for the men in our lives.  I think it is a perfect mans cards and of course, it can be done in pinks, reds and purples to turned into a card for one of the ladies in our lives.

Once you get into the swing of things, it doesnt take too long to make, I just had all the ink pads out and my scrubby and went for it.  What would I do without my scrubbie.  I can also tell you that we have another little cleaning treat in the new catalogue.  Speaking of which, I have had a delivery of catalogues so if you would like one, please do let me know.  The Stamperettes get one of these free next time I see them.

Right, I have to go and get ready for a funeral, another sad day and someone else to say goodbye to......

Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day.  Tracey x

Same old question Grand daughter, Grandaughter or Granddaughter?

Good afternoon.  This morning was rather cloudy and dull to start with but it has now brightened up and we have a lovely temperature of 22 degrees outside.

Yesterday as we were up so early it was an afternoon nap and then TB Doc came to visit.  I am pleased to say all is going well on that score.  The evening was spent with feet up early watching the last of Woman in White drama series.  It has been a good drama but the ending wasnt the best.....as usual.

It was our eldest Granddaughters birthday yesterday, she turned 18, where do the years go?

Here is a bit of a close up of the lovely little lady

I used this stamp from my stash along with lots of Stampin' Up! pens and SU papers.  I loved making this card and hope to make more soon.

I also baked a few lemon cakes, all as thank you's.  One to give to the neighbour for our cucumbers and tomato plants, one for sis for her birthday and one for Mum and Dad.  I also hope to bake for the card classes that I have over the weekend.  If you are free on Saturday morning and fancy a card class please do let me know.  There are just 2 places left.  Saturday morning is a new date for me, how exciting.

Well I have a few chores to catch up with.    Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a lovely afternoon and evening.  Tracey x

Happy Anniversary copy

Good morning, or is it the middle of the night still.  Christiana and I vowed to have a lie in today, no matter what so here I am 4.30am posting on my blog whilst Christiana is in bed with her cuppa and I am having mine!!  Nanny naps after lunch today are going to be a must.

I went for my dressing change yesterday and was shocked to learn that I will be having this dressing changed for the next 6 - 8 weeks, goodness.  I was told that I cant get in in the sun, in the pool, in the sea or on a beach for many many weeks which was a bit of a shock.  Oh well, I will just carry on doing what I am told to do so that it heals properly.

So today I get to share a Stampin' Up! Anniversary card with you that was made for my sister and Brother in Law.  Last Friday was their special day (yes the same day as Dads birthday and sisters birthday).

It was a bare faced copy of one I received in a swap, I just loved it so much that I had to make one myself (why try to re invent the wheel)? When I get time I hope to make many more with different sentiments.  I keep saying that with lots of my cards but I will get round to it. Photograph isnt the best but I am never very good at that.

It was lovely to see Buffy last night *waving* at you.  Buffy and I have known each other for a very many number of years and we have done lots of crafting together.  She is tempting me to have a whole day of playing with my scan and cut and inviting lots of other friends who have the same machine to join in....I just need a date.

Saturday has a few spaces left for the card class.  Please let me know if you would like to come along, it would be lovely to see you and bring a friend or two as well.

Right then, I am going to make an early start with the pottering round of chores so that I can hit that craft room for the day.  I am so looking forward to it.  Thanks for having a read and if you fancy a cuppa this morning, you know where you can find me.  Tracey x

Birthday wishes for my Sister

Good morning and although it is a bit cloudy, it is just lovely and warm out.  I have already been to see the nurse and had the leg dressing changed.  It is looking rather delicate to say the least but it is clean, no infection and I have been told will need another 8 - 12 weeks of dressing changes at least, yikes.

A quick *wave* at Liz who popped in to to see me yesterday, lovely to see you. CLIMBING ORCHID is the stamp set we were looking for and it is still available as a bundle.

Friday was also my Sisters birthday and here is the card that I made for her.

It is based on one that I received which was so pretty and delicate.  This stamp set is carrying over and so is the leaf punch so no rush to purchase the set unless you are like me, ooops.  I see something and have to have the whole kit and kaboodle to replicate what I have seen.  This is a 7 x 7 card (I am being converted to bigger cards by Paula, Ruth and Sally).  It was certainly lovely to make and I will be making more of these in different colours as soon as I get chance.

Are you free for a couple of hours on Saturday morning? Why not come along to a new session of card making.  There are a few places available and it would be lovely to see you.
Just get in touch to reserve your place.

Well I have a few chores and then into the town to make an exchange or two.  Thank you for having a read and if you fancy a cuppa and a crafty chat this evening, I will be in the craft room cutting out card.  Tracey x

Monday

Happy Birthday Dad

Good morning and what a lovely weekend we have had.  I hope yours was a good one too.  I appreciate that not everyone likes the hot weather but it has suited us down to the ground.  We did so many things that we wanted to do, the greenhouse is up and running, the garden is looking better and we had family time as well.  Not a lot more you could ask for.

I dont want to speak too soon but Christiana has had a good weekend.  It was hair raising on Friday, I had to be at docs early so Paul took me.  I asked about Christiana whilst I was there and was told that doc would call me, great.   Paul dropped me off at home and he went to work.  Doc called as soon as I got in, I explained my concerns and he said can you bring her in now. Oops, I cant drive so my lovely husband came back again to take us back to Doc.  Mmmm, he wouldnt give her more antibitotic, he wasnt happy with the symptoms so he said an "immediate chest xray and blood test please".  Paul then took us both to the hospital and I said I would get a taxi back.  We had the tests, went to book a taxi and yikes, no money.  I left my purse at home.  Well the taxi came and the driver gave me faith in human nature.  I can not recommend albatros taxi enough.  He helped with the wheelchair, he opened car doors, helped us get in the house and was cheaper than other companies.

So that was our morning.  A quick wave at *Josie* as I know she is reading this who popped in to visit on Friday afternoon.  I do hope you like your stamps and please, do share what you make with them.  Another wave at *SallyAnn*, trust the email came through.

Friday was also dads and sisters birthday.  This is the card I made my Dad, not my usual style at all.

All Stampin' Up! goodies except the stamps and paper.  SU is so versatile that it lends itself to mix and match with other products too.  The images were stamped onto Shimmery Card and then coloured in using the inks.  You squish the ink pads to make a coloured lid and use an aqua painter to paint the images.  I used the roller to create the background colour and lots of different stamps to create the foilage.  Old Olive is the main colour and of course, it is the circle punch and die circle framelit for the sentiment.  Dad loved it, phew.

Right then, I had best make a start as I would like to nip out this morning depending on my leg.  Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day.  Tracey x

Little box

Good afternoon  not my usual time to blog but that doesnt matter.

Yesterday started out to be a lovely day but ended with me in A&E for quite a few hours and 50 steri stripe plasters holding my skin together.  I had an accident with the dishwasher and pushed a large amount of skin from my shin to the other side of my leg.  It was an ouch.  I have now got to rest my leg so I wont be doing a lot.

Today I have sat in the conservatory with our new furniture and I must say it is a very relaxing room, no tv, no sounds except the birds.  I must admit to snoozing on and off most of the day.  Christiana and Paul are really helping me but I do have to get up every now and then for a little potter.

Here is a little box that Cheryl helped me to make "waving at Cheryl" at our last crafting get together.

I need to get all the instructions prepared for this so that I can hand them out and I must remember at our next get together to have box details too.

Fancy coming along to a crafty get together where you can make a couple of cards and a box?  There are quite a few events taking place over the next couple of weeks, Saturday morning or Monday afternoon.  The ones on Thursday and Friday evening are already fully booked.  We are only a small group each time so that help is always on hand. You get project sheets to take home so that you can replicate what we make as well as one to one tuition if needed, homemade cakes and refreshments.  The event lasts a couple of hours and its a great place to meet other like minded folk, talk about crafting and have a bit of a giggle.  This is for people just starting out to make cards as well as the experienced crafter. Booking is a necessity so please get in touch to reserve your place.

Right, I must get a move on, thanks for having a read and enjoy the rest of your day.  Tracey x

Feeling blessed

good morning and another beautiful start to the day.

As yesterday was my birthday and visitors arrived from 9am I didnt have time to do a little post to say hello but just look at all the wonderful cards I received.

I cant believe how lucky I am to have so many.  There are plenty of hand made ones too.

Today we are taking it easy as Christiana is feeling a lot better, the sun is out and just because we can.  I shall be in the craft room all evening making a card or two.

Thank you for having a read and I wish you a lovely day, whatever you are up to.  Tracey x

Friday

Happy Birthday Enya

Good morning and yes, Mr. Sunshine has his hat on again.  That is lovely but Paul will have to water the garden this evening.  I will be too busy in the Craft room as it is Christmas Card and Chatter night.  Fancy an evening with like minded folk? Then please do come and join us.  Kettle is on from 6pm.

We had a great success at the docs yesterday.  He has given Christiana another course of antibiotics as her infection hasnt gone.  I pointed out how it isnt normal to get so many infections in such a short time, despite all her other conditions and he totally agrees.  So Paul has taken samples for examination to the hospital.  If it is just bactaria at least we know.  I personally think she has had a chest infection since last September that hasnt cleared up but we shall see.

Today I am waiting for IKEA to drop off some new bits for the conservatory, very exciting. Paul has also arranged for me to take delivery of my birthday present, which I have no idea what it could be.  I am also having a chill out day in the craft room, another major sort out.

It is a Happy Birthday to our nephews daughter today.

Unicorns as so 'In' at the moment so I hope she likes it.

There will be another little order being placed tomorrow with Stampin' Up! so if there is anything that you would like me to add, just let me know by 11am tomorrow.

Time to get the pinny on, thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely Friday.

Thursday

Good morning and yet another lovely start to the day.  I think I have a busy one too.  It was fine getting lots of boxes out of the loft, washing things, sorting things but that has left me with charity shop runs and tip runs to do today, on top of the other bits and bobs but how nice when its all done.  This is my hour each morning where I sit and have a coffee, type up the blog post, get it up to date.  I also try and answer emails and messages as I dont like to keep doing it during the day otherwise I get so distracted I would be on the internet forever and boy do I get distracted. So this is my WORK hour.

Here is a photo of the Thank You cards for this month, which I finally managed to complete.
It was a pleasure making these and if you wanted the stamp set and dies, I would be quick as they are on the retirement list.  There is a full list of what I have used below (I am also getting technical in my retirement, thanks Ian).

Christiana had a bad night last night so today I also have to find answers to help her and us.  When she has a cough attack it can last for a few hours and there is so much contridictory information from Hospital and GP so today we are going to try another route, the UK Scleroderma  Society.  Hopefully they will help.

It is Christmas card night tomorrow and it would be lovely if you could come along (reminder to make cake).  We start around 6ish and finish around 9.30 ish (sorry George for the ish).

Thank you for having a read and I do hope you have a lovely day.  Tracey x
