Tuesday

Baby Katerina arrived

Good morning and a later start to the day today, always good to have a lie in.

So I am off to the hospital today.  At long last I am going to attend a group session regarding Rhumatoid Arthritis.  This is something that has been put back and back for the last 3 years.  Fingers crossed it takes place.  Hopefully I shall be learning a little more about this and how to live with it.

Following that I have yet another craft session to look forward to this evening, seeing people I havent seen in a very long time.

My daughters (Sophia and Katerina) have a group of friends that have been together since infant school.  They are all still together but boyfriends/husbands have been added to the group and well as their dogs of course.  Well we are really proud the say that the first mum of the group gave birth to a lovely little girl recently. The baby is called Katerina (after her grandmother) and my daughters have been asked to be god mothers which is such an honor in Cyprus. Of course I had to make cards for the new arrival and here is just one of them.

It is a very old stamp from my stash, stamped on SU basic white card.  The image was stamped again on shimmery card and then has been coloured in with SU inks in the water colour way.  That is that I sqeeze the ink pad to get ink onto the lid,  I add a little water and then colour in the image using a paint brush.  I cut out the baby clothes and then adhered these to the card with this 3D foam pads.  It took the cards 8 weeks to get to Cyprus and 1 day after she gave birth, phew.  I will share some more soon.

Fancy a craft class?  I have a spare place on Friday evening at 7pm and another on Saturday morning at 10am.  Please do get in touch if you do.  My details are below x

In the meantime, there are only 4 days left to take advantage of the 15% discount on the following Designer Series Papers

Just a reminder that the Papers are still on offer and I shall be placing an order at the end of the week, should you wish to order directly with me.  You are welcome to collect from the Craft Room, Derby which is in Alvaston.

Monday

Happy Anniversary

Good morning.  Another cooler start to the day, it does make a difference.  I am not too sure if we will get much sunshine in Derby today as the forecast is an overcast day with a high temperature.  I can cope with that.

After a smashing weekend I have another lovely day to look forward to today.  Last Friday was our wedding anniversary.  We have been married for 10 years although we have been together for more than double that time.  This is the card that I made hubby.

He doesnt like what he calls 'square on squares' but we call in layered.  He isnt keen on glitter either.  He adored his card and as our song is the 'oh what a perfect day' children in need one, it seemed apt to add those words to his card.

I made this by adding the words to the card first, generated on the computer.  I then stamped out the image twice, once onto the card and once onto  Stampin' Up! Basic White card which I coloured in using Stampin' Up! Stampin' Blends.  After cutting the image out, I used 3d foam pads to add it to the image on the card. I did lightly colour the background with a Stampin' Blend Brush and some Pool Party ink prior to adhering the coloured image.

We are having a crafty get together today so I am just off to make some final touches to the craft room.  thank you for having a read today and if I can help you in any way with anything craft related, my details are below.

Have a magnificient Monday.  Thank you for having a read.  Tracey x

Thursday

Artistically Inked in Misty Moonlight

Good morning, well middle of the night really.  I just cant sleep.  I nodded off around 9pm to wake up at 2.30am.  After an hour of lying there, tossing and turning, being too hot I decided enough was enough so I got up.  I have had a cuppa, caught up with what is going on in the world and replied to an email.  I will certainly be needing more that a nanny nap today.  I will probably spend the afternoon napping...oh well, a good job I am retired.

I had a change from the 'peachy' stamps and I made this card which I really loved making.   I saw something similar on Pinterest and of course, that got me inspired.  I think it is the colours that attracted me, Misty Moonlight although it does look a little darker in my pictures.

I stamped on the envelope, with some masking, the same flowers but they are second generation.  This means that I have inked the stamp up and stamped it once on some scrap paper, before stamping onto the envelope.  The stamped images on the insert have been cut out and stuck to the insert and trimmed down, prior to sticking it all inside the card.  I do think they are so pretty and I had great fun in making it.  Having fun is what it is all about.

Just a reminder that the Papers are still on offer and I shall be placing an order next week, should you wish to order directly with me.

You're Sweet gift bag

Good morning.  Up early today as it is so warm.  We have another few days of this heat before the rains arrive so I will make the most of it.

I wanted to share my friends garden with you.  They live in a small village in Norfolk.  I was just so blown away by this wonderful view.  You walk outside their gate and see this imense lawn.

When you start walking to the edge of the lawn, you are on the beach.  It is amazing.

Did you know that the Sweet as a Peach suite from Stampin' Up! has this pretty paper?  I just couldn't resist making a cute little bag with it.

It is made from a sheet of 6"x 12" and can be re created with any double sided papers.  The tags I have used are from the new Tailored Tags die.  Here is a list of what I used.
