A late start to my day today, I had a lie in, a late breakfast and as I am out for lunch, not a lot will happen in between. I was given this beautiful Bougainvillea for my birthday and after a few days, all the flowers fell off, which is what happens with this plant. But then you have to water it only when it is bone dry and if flowered again.
What is even more special is that I never noticed that there are flowers inside the flowers, how lovely are those.
We had a bit of stamping and cutting session over the weekend and the wonderful bowl came out again. It is just perfect for keeping all my die cuts in until I use them up.
The Stampin' Up! "Sweet as a Treat" bundle was used to stamp out these lovely images and then the dies to cut them out.
I was really spoilt for choice as to what I could make with all the wonderful pieces and was quite overwhelmed, do you sometimes feel that? So I started with a simple thank you card.
The leaves were stamped in pear pizzas ink and then using a dauber, I went over the edges with the Evening Evergreen ink which is a lot darker but I love the way it looks. Next I inked up the peaches in Pale Papaya. I used a dauber with Mango Melody and put ink in the middle of each peach and then put Calypso Coral on another dauber, putting this around the edge of each peach before stamping it on to the card. I took one of the peaches from those that I had die cut out and added that to the card using 3D foam pads. I used Calypso Coral to stamp the sentiment and you know what....it was wonky (not straight). I couldnt believe it but not to panic. I got out the Stitched so Sweetly dies and stamped the sentiment again and put this over the wonky one/ Who's to know? You wont tell will you?
