Good morning. We have had a lovely couple of days. We are having a new front door fitted in about three weeks time so it is time for the hallway to be decorated. This is the last room of the house to be done since we moved in. I thought it was best to do all the other rooms first and then finish with the hallway.
So the door is due and we have to make a few moderations which includes removing a mirror which has been inset into the wall in the entrance of the hall. Said mirror was taken down and behind it, is a window, oh my.
It has a black lead design and each join has been souldered. What you can see are the plaster boards from the other side of the wall, which is in fact our bedroom. We have since discovered another door frame into the kitchen and a serving hatch (which we did know about) has been uncovered. So a lot more work to do than first anticipated. My wonder is, what will we find when we lift up the carpets?
As you can imagine, the dust is everywhere. A good cleaning job when its all done will be needed. I am fighting a loosing battle trying to dust it each day but I do try.
I am also still sorting out the photo albums which is very interesting. I have no idea when I will finish them but I am enjoying doing it and thats the best bit.
Of course, lots of crafting going on too. Here is a card that was created on our afternoon of using one stamp set, Dressed to Impress.
This was made by Paula and she stamped the lipsticks, perfume bottle, shoes and flowers, coloured them in and then cut them out. The frame is from Colour and Contour dies, which has a few different sized frames, one that I often forget about. These were then mounted on some of the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers. Details of these can be found below. We are using this stamp set in our get togethers this month.
Well I had best get showered and ready for my day ahead. Nothing planned for today so I will just amble throught it and do what ever needs doing. Thank you so much for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday. Tracey x
