After a pretty hectic couple of days today will be slighter slower, quieter and certainly a finishing off/catching up kind of day. I woke up at 4am and just couldnt nod back off to sleep so I am enjoying the quietness of the morning whist writing this. There will be a Sunday lunch at some stage but I do have to pop out and pick up a couple of orders I have placed.
The artheritis is back with a bit of a vengence, yesterday it was my left wrist and hand which caused mayhem. I was due to drive out to a garden center to meet up with some lovley ladies but it just wasnt safe for me to drive so hubby dropped me off for part one of the journey and I got a lift to enjoy my morning. Morning I say well, it really was most of the day, how lucky I am to have such wonderful friends. A coffee and a wander turned out to breakfast (and pudding) and putting the whole word to rights before a bit of a shopping spree. Just what was needed after an evening with even more friends at the Derby Dabblers Annual Christmas meal.
A little fresh air is on the cards today, got a few Christmas cards to hand deliver as well as some to pop in the post. Here is another of my festive makes, being posted out today.
Festive Make No. 5
This card was crafted using a lovely combination of elements. It begins with a Stampin’ Up! Basic Gray card base, topped with a co-ordinating layer of Smoky Slate. The Basic White layer has been embossed with a textured folder to create a beautifully detailed pattern, adding depth and elegance.
A panel of Winter Wishes Designer Series Paper has been layered over the embossed background, with delicate silver thread wrapped around it for an extra touch of sparkle. To finish, three small silver embellishments add a perfect hint of shine to the lower right corner.
