Expressions in Ink on a Friday

Hello, rather cloudy in Derby today but as I dont have plans to go out, I dont mind about the weather.

Here is a card I made using some wonderful stamps from Stampin' Up! called Artistically Inked and there are dies that match too.  If you purchase the stamps and the dies at the same time, you get a 10% discount as it is called a bundle.

The card is one very similar to a card made by Sarah Levin, which I saw on Pintrest.  I used the largest stamp in the set to create the main background in Fresh Fresia ink, which had been stamped off once.  I coloured the vellum die cut leaves using a blending brush and melon mambo ink but they didnt come out very brightly.  The smaller flowers have been stamped in melon mambo, the large flower in Fresh Fresia and the green leaves are granny apple green.  I added a few self adhesive dots to the card too.  The sentiment has been made using a retired stamp set which I forgot had retired, opps.

Once everything is stamped and die cut they are put into my wonderful bowl that I had for my birthday and are ready to be used.

Any extra little pieces I have left are put into a little bag and placed inside the stamp set box so that I know where they are for the future and I dont have to hunt round for them.  I have a full list of everything I used a little further down but if you have any questions, please do get in touch with me.

I do have a few spare Annual Catalogues in the Craft Room and you are welcome to collect one.  In the meantime, if you click on the catalogue image below, you can see a PDF View of it.

Handsomely Suited Fathers Day Card

Good morning and whoop whoop, the sunshine is back.  A little warmer this morning too.  It does make a difference to me waking up to sunshine, I feel happier and healthier and this is one of the reasons I love the Summer months.

Today is fairly relaxed day again.  A few bits and pieces to do around the house (which takes me some time) but they do get done.  Mr. A. is mowing the lawns today, oh how I love that smell.  He is also doing some de weeding on the front garden so I think a coffee, sat outside with him will be my highlight of the morning.

It was Fathers Day here in the UK last Sunday and I am so lucky to have a dad in a million.  This is the card I gave to him which has been made using the Handsomely Suited stamp set and die bundle.  The papers match the set but these have retired, still need using up though.  The sentiment came from the same stamp set. The sentiment was stamped on to basic white card and cut out using a punch called the Tailored Tag punch.  There is a piece of Night of Navy card behind the sentiment which has been cut out using the same punch, cut in half and then adhered on to the sentiment piece.

Stampin' Up! have lots of punches available, to see them, please click on the image below

There is FREE shipping to anywhere in the UK tomorrow for all orders of £35 or more.  If you would like something that doesnt come to that value, please do get in touch as I can order it for you and add it on to all the other little bits and pieces that other folk want.  All you will have to do is come to the Craft Room in Alvaston to collect your goodies.

I do have a few spare catalogues in the Craft Room and you are welcome to collect one.  In the meantime, if you click on the catalogue image below, you can see a PDF View of it.

Tuesday

Let's Celebrate cards with Expressions in Ink Designer Series Papers

Good morning.  An early start for me today but only because I couldnt sleep.  I shall be having a nanny nap after lunch thats for sure.  But before that it will be a little more re-organising with the help of Mr. A.  I would like to shuffle a few things around as they say a change is as good as a rest.

Did I tell you that our trip to see the girls had been cancelled once again?  Never mind, we shall just re-book and see if we can visit them a little later in the year.

That does mean that I get a little more time to loose a little weight, time to start planning out the hall referbishment and time to do a little more in the craft room.  I am so fortunate that the girls ring me daily and not just once a day either.  It would be nice to give them a hug though.

I have a couple of very easy cards for you today using the amazing Expressions in Ink Designer Papers from Stampin' Up!  If you havent seen these yet you really do need to take a look at them.

You get 12 sheets of double sided 12x12 papers and the price is £14 a pack.  If you would like to see these in the flesh, so to speak and live local to Derby please do get in touch.  If you have already seen them and would like to order a pack or just half a pack do let me know so that I can arrange this for you. My details are a little further down the page.

And here they are in a little more detail

To start with I cut up one of the 12 x 12 sheets that has a pattern running across the middle of the page, in in half, lengthways so that I have the pattern on each piece.  Then I cut this up again to give me 3 pieces of patterned paper with the pattern just in the top part of the papers.

I stamped a sentiment on each of the papers, adhered one to Pear Pizzaz card and then put this on to a basic white card base.

On this one I adhered the pattern piece onto a Basic White piece of card before putting both of them on to a Pear Pizzaz card base.
I dont know which I prefer, they are both nice and can be used for lots of occasions.  I also think that these cards can be sent to any lady or gent in our lives.

Do you have a favourite?  For the little self adhesive co-ordinating dots, I used Rhinestone Jewels and coloured them in with the Evening Evergreen Blend pen.  There are still lots more cards you can make with these papers and I shall have fun sharing some more ideas with you.  I have included a full list of everything I used to make these cards at the bottom of this post.

For all orders of £35 or more you can have free shipping on 24th June.
