Good morning and what a smashing day we have in store today. We have to start with the usual visit to the local hospital to give them a little bit of blood for them to test. I do struggle with this but the nurses are all wonderful. This is followed by a visit to a fellow crafter who has created something very special for myself and the twins.....more to follow on this soon. Then it is the rest of the day in my favourite space, the craft room but this may change, we know how plans always work out.
Here is a card that was made for mums birthday on Monday
I went a little over the top with this and why not, it is for a very special mum who isnt too well at the moment. I was inspired by a card I had seen by Heather Thomas but wanted something a little larger. I used some Designer Series papers, the Fresh Fresia from the In Color set. Teamed up with the Fresh Fresia ink coloured with a blending brush through the dotty mask and it created a great background. The Hand Penned Petals stamp was used on some Basic White card and then fussy cut. I created 5 of flower bouquets, using two and half for the front, one of the insert and one on the envelope. I did use the remaining half on the back of the card but I cant show you this as it states how old mum is *giggles*.
We spent some time with her and dad and had a cup of tea and a piece of birthday cake. It was lovely to see her and she had had visitors all day long, which is just what she wanted.
