DAY THIRTY ONE - Anniversary card

Good morning, can you believe that we are on the last day of January already?  To me it has wizzed by, is that a sign of getting older ?  No, I am taking it that its a sign that I have had an amazing month, being so busy and enjoying life, whatever it throws at me.  I shall just hope that February is as good.

So after a day yesterday which included lots of cuddles and ooohhhhs and aaahhhhhs, I am hoping for a repeat today.  I cant describe the feeling of a little one falling asleep holding your hand.

I thought I would let you know that Mum is doing well, she went out yesterday and had her nails freshly polished which is amazing.  She still cant walk unfortunately, there is just no brain co-ordination to her legs to get her to take more than a few steps but my sister and niece got her out and about with the wheelchair.  Such a big difference to Christmas time when I didnt think she would ever talk again nor understand anything.  Some illnesses are so cruel.

It was Aunt and Uncles Birthday recently and I really enjoyed making this card for them,  I must try and remember to make a few more like this as I send out quite a few anniversary cards.

I used Stampin' Up! Thick Basic White card for the card base and on the normal Basic White card I stamped the image in Memento Black.  Out came the blending pens to do the colouring in.  Oh I do find colouring in so relaxing.  The little heart embellishments are from Stampin' Up! that I have had for a while.

I have realised that I am a hoarder of embellishments and pretty things so another one of my resolutions is to get them used up.

I really can not remember which stamp set the sentiment is from oppps.  The main image is not a Stampin' Up! stamp it is a very old one that I have had in my stash but it works perfectly with everything else being Stampin' Up!

Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a great start to your weekend.  Tracey x

DAY THIRTY - Garden Meadow Stamps and Dies

Good morning, its going to get a bit warmer for me today, which is nice.  I shall be out very early this morning, off for a coffee with Katerina and Alex, a great way to start my day.

I shall spend a couple of hours on the internet tonight trying to learn a little more about Pinterest and all the postings on it, how to use it properly rather than just scrolling through.  I know the saying is you cant teach old dogs new tricks but I do enjoying trying these things.

We had a creative crew day recently and played with the Garden Meadow stamp set and dies and Sally created this wonderful card

The base card has been created using Very Vanilla Thick card,  The card had a lot of blending on it to create a background and then a Basic White card had a large circle cut out to create an aperture so that the blended element was showing through The sentiment was stamped as were the flowers at the bottom of the aperture.   The basket, wellingtons and more flowers were stamped, coloured and cut out to place across the bottom of the aperture and the card turned out perfectly.  Of course, one of the Brushed Brass Butterflies finished it off.  Yes these butterflies are still available.

The Garden Meadow Stamp set and Dies are on the 'Last Chance' list in my shop and are greatly reduced in price.  I am not sure how long they will be there for as when they have sold out, they will not be restocked.  Just click on the 'Shop Here' Banner below and type in Garden Meadow should you want to find out a little more.

Thank you so much for having a read and if you need any help with Stampin' Up! at all please, do get in touch.  Tracey x

DAY TWENTY NINE - Frames and Flowers cards made in The Craft Room, Derby

Good morning, yesterday was a lovely chilled day and just what I needed.  We started out doing the few chores and then went for coffee at a local Caffe Nero which was lovely. I did have to take my coffee back as it wasnt very hot at all but the staff were wonderful about it and made me a fresh, hot coffee.

It was followed by a slow wander around a store that is similar to a maze.  It is massive and in between a Woolworths, B&M and B&Q,   It has anything and everything you could possibly want.

A lunch on the sea front in a large cafe/bar/restaurant which  I have been visiting for the last 40 years however, it will be the last time we eat there.  The staff were amazing, the food choice was brilliant, the service couldnt  have been better but the food quality and preperation really let it down.  I had linguini but it was so greasy and full of oil in the bottom of the dish I just couldnt eat much of it.  Hubby had the burger as it stated there was just lettuce, tomato and onions in it.  They smoothered the bread roll with BBQ sauce which he detests.  There was a lot of chips so he was happy and had enough to eat but...

I wanted to share these beautiful cards that we created a couple of weeks ago using the Frames and Flowers speciality Designer Series Papers that I showed you yesterday.  There are just so many possibilities with this pack.

The colours are wonderful and include Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon, Soft Sea Foam, Pretty Petal but many more colours would also co-ordinate.

Today I shall be spending time catching up on emails and messages so if there is anything that I can help you with regarding Stampin' Up! please, do get in touch.

Thank you so much for having a read and I hope you have a smashing day. Tracey xx
