Good morning. This is the view from this morning.
After the day we had yesterday we said we were going to rest and relax today, that didn’t happen until late afternoon.
Lots of things have been sorted this morning, so much have had to be recycled and a few bits thrown away but slowly, we are getting there. The IKEA bed frame that was due to be delivered on Saturday never arrived but we went back to IKEA yesterday and they are re delivering tomorrow. The other bits that we ordered will be delivered on Wednesday so lots of storage space on its way. I did manage to get out for a lovely coffee with Sophia.
Paul joined us after our drink and we visited the local electrical shop and found a tv which will arrive next week, phew, it’s all go.
I do have these to share with you
I created two cards with a sheet of 5” x 7” Basic White card using the new Stippled Roses stamp set. I was short of a couple of thank you cards so I sat and created these.
- I stamped the largest flower in the set using Memento black ink straight across the middle of the card.
- Then using the individual leaf stamp and Memento black ink again, I added leaves across the top and the bottom of the card.
- With Stampin' Up! blend pens I coloured the flowers and leaves in.
- I cut the card in half to create two card fronts.
- The sentiment came from the same stamp set and I really do like two different styles of font on the sentiment. I stamped this on each of the card fronts.
- Of course the wonderful Brushed Brass butterflies finished the card off perfectly.
- I trimmed the card front down.
- Using Stampin' Up! notecards, I stuck the image directly onto the front of the notecard.
- For the envelopes, I inked up the largest stamp with Stazon ink and used a second generation impression across the bottom of the envelope.
- I then got a red ink pad and put a light tap of the red ink onto an acrylic block.
- Using a water painter, I added water to the ink on the block until I got it to the right consistency. I rinsed the water painter and dried it a little on kitchen paper. I then picked up a little of the red ink to colour in the flowers on the envelope. You don’t want to use too much water on the envelope as it breaks down the fibres. I repeated the same again with the green for the leaves
