DAY ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FOUR - One sheet wonder birthday card

Good morning.  Mr. weatherman says it will be 19 degrees in Derby today but very cloudy.  Well I am up early to get a start on a few household chores before it gets too hot, if it really does.  The weather is really very strange these days but I am just so pleased it isnt raining each day.

I have an hour with my computer this morning, something I love to do.  Trying to get things updated and get a head start on the week.  I do love the peace and quiet of the morning and of course, I take a cuppa to hubby when he wakes up as he loves to watch the news and have a slow start to the day.

I am still working my way through the photo albums on the computer and have 31,575 photos to sort/delete/file.  Another little job I enjoy chipping away at.

A quick update on mum, who isnt doing too well at all.  I am still visiting most days as we are lucky enough to live a few minutes away but her health is really deteriorating.  The vascular dementia and alzheimers are making it very hard for her to walk, in fact to move at all.  Dad is helping her more and more and we are all very concerned as to where this is going to lead.  She isnt awake too many hours in the day but dad helps her get up each day and she goes to sit in the living room.  They still wont accept any help from us girls apart from the shopping, sitting with mum when dad has appointments and making telephone calls on his behalf as he is hard of hearing.  I shall pop round again later this afternoon.

Here is another card that I made and gave out to a birthday girl recently.

It is part of a one sheet wonder which is something that I love to create.   If you havent tried one of these, it is where you get a sheet of card (any size) and stamp over it creating backgrounds.  You then cut it up to fit the size of card you want and add a sentiment.  It is a very theraputic way of making cards.

Well I had best go and make a start on my day, thanks for having a read. x
