If at first....

I wanted to use Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie cardstock together for a mans card. This was the first card that I came up with. I thought that the colours go well together but, it just wasnt quite right it was um....couldnt put my finger on it.

So then I decided to change the colours around a little and came up with this one, which I am a lot happier with.

I found some ribbon that I had in my stash, not SU but thought that the colours went well together and this was the card that the ladies at the Co-Op Guild made a couple of weeks ago.

I was going to put the first card in the bin but then I thought that I would share it with you.

Friday

Look what I got from the states

A double slider card that I received. Thank you so much for this.

Thursday

Yankee Candles and Dashing

Who could ask for a better combination than Yankee Candle Tins covered with Dashing papers. These will be going on my display at my workshop on Saturday.

A big thank you to Debbie and to Karen.

Wednesday

More fun and fast notes

Here is another Fun and Fast note card.

I am busy finalising all the little bits for my first Workshop this Saturday in Derby. Really looking forward to it but a bit nervous at the same time. If it proves to be successful, I shall hold one every two months.

There are still a couple of places left if anyone fancies it. A great bunch of ladies, some music, lots of tea/coffee/juice, cakes and biscuits, a prize draw and on top of that at least 3 cards and some novelties. All for the price of £7.00, a bargin.

Please get in touch for more details

Season of Joy

A few more cards from Lesley who has used the Season of Joy Stamp set to make these simple, but stunning Christmas cards.

Tuesday

A big hello to the Stamperettes

I would just like to say a BIG hello to the Stamperettes. 7 fantastic ladies from all over the UK who are as in love with Stampin' Up! products as I am.

They will be getting fantastic stamps and other SU products through the post each month, along with project sheets, cards and a hostess set.

Lets hope that we can all arrange to meet up somewhere convenient after Christmas

In the Bag

Here is a bag I have made, yep using Dashing again. I hope it doesnt all run out but I know it will eventually.

This will go on the display table this weekend and then I shall use it, along with the others I am making, to put 4 x 4 cards in for all occassions, to give to the family as Christmas presents. They are always asking if I have a spare birthday card, or a thank you card ready, somewhere in my stash. This should keep them going for a while into 2009.

Monday

Fun and Fast

I cant believe how versatile this stamp set is. I sat down and cut out lots and lots of 5 x 5 cards and went through this stamp set one by one with different colours. It was a most enjoyable afternoon (I actually forgot to cook oops) as I was enjoying myself so much.

Here are a couple of samples of cards made, and there are more on their way.

Stamp set - Fun and Fast Notes
Card Stock - Tempting Turquoise, Pink Passion, Old Olive, Real Red
Made the little corner cuts by using 1" corner punch

Tagtastic

I have been busy over the weekend trying to get myself ready for Christmas. I cant tell you how many tags I made, just sat and stamped out the images and then cut them out with the tag punches. Decided to add a bit of chalk around the edge of the vanilla and just stuck them together. I know I have lots more to make but as I have started the Christmas Shopping, need to get the presents wrapped up and sent to Santa.

Stamps : Winter Wishes
Cardstock : Vanilla, Old Olive and Real Read
Punches : Small Tag Punch and Tag Punch
Old Olive and Real Red chalk added to the edges using a dauber

Cards made by friends

These cards have been made by Lesley, I just adore this tree and may be asking to borrow it in the very near future.

This comical little chappie card was made by Jayne, so cheeky. I think it is a brilliant stamp, just for those fellas out there

Thank you for letting me put your cards on my blog......and there are more to go on in the next few days
