Wonderful Wednesday

Good morning. I am up early today as I have a day in the craft room. I have some little people poppimg over this morning and they are going to make some Christmas Tree decorations which is always exciting.

Here is a lovely card that I received recently.

Again it is using my favourite stamp set, Beautiful Friendship. This is one stamp that I cant stop using.

I will have the kettle on in the craft room this afternoon if you fancy a cuppa and a chat. Lots of lovely goodies on the sales dresser and a room full of inspiration. If you need directions on where to find me, just get in touch.

Monday

Halloween, cakes and a beautiful friendship

Good morning on this Monday, the last one in October. I have woken up and seem to have lost my voice overnight. It will be a very quiet day today but thats fine as we have had a busy weekend. It has been a family weekend which is just what they are made for. We celebrated Brother in Laws birtday on Friday with a meal out, we had my mum and dad here for the day yesterday and we cooked a lovely Sunday lunch.

The Halloween get togethers ended with a final meet up on Saturday morning. The decorations will come down this week and be replaced by Christmas ones, ready for Novembers get togethers.

We have a new facebook page called Bakerettes. This is because so many folk have asked for recipes for the cakes that are made and its time to learn how to bake some new ones. If you would like to find us, join us and add your favourites that would be lovely. The more the merrier. These are the cakes that have been made and have eaten this month, a lemon cake, a chocolate cake and an apple, fruit and sticky toffee cake.

One of the stamp sets we played with was called Beautiful Friendship and if you mix it with Call me Clover ink, Granny Apple Green Ink, Seaside Spray Ink, Lovely Lipstick Ink as well as Rococo Rose Ink, this is what you get

We all had such fun with this stamp set and I know that lots more cards are going to be created using this technique.

Make a Wish

Good morning and it is still very dark outside, means that Winter is on the way. I must remember that I get an extra hour in bed tonight. Its a good thing they now have this on the same day as Cyprus. A few years ago Cyprus changed their clocks a week later than the UK and that really confused me when I was trying to chat to the girls.

Here is another card that I have made using Broadway Birthday stamp set. It really a lovely set and one I have played with loads, for all birthdays for all ages. You wont be seeing the last of this.

It will be Christmas in the Rossos household this weekend and next week. I have to get sorted with Christmas tags and Christmas cards all well in advance and so The Craft Room will turn into a Santas Grotto for the next week. Handmade Christmas part 1

Good morning and it is warmer out side today than it was yesterday.

As I wont be in UK over Christmas this year I am having an early handmade Christmas where I am making the majority of presents, packages, boxes and even stamping my own paper. Here is the first box that I would like to share with you.

I loved making it and have lots more to make.

I have had 2 cancellations for our crafting get together this Saturday morning. Would you like to come along to make two cards and tags. Involves stamping, eating cake drinking tea/coffee and laughing quite a lot. Please let me know if you would like to join us.

Advent Calendars, Flash Sales and a day in the craft room

Good morning. Stampin' Up! have announced a flash sale which will start tonight at 11pm and last for 24 hours. Here is a list of what is on sale.

My mobile telephone has been repaired and returned so now we have to go through the process of putting all the information back onto it. The phone broke when we were away and I was without a telephone for quite a few days, it was refreshing. When we returned home we spent a whole day talking to Apple and to John Lewis where I purchased the telephone and realised that I would have to buy a new one, which is very expensive. The current one was just 2 years and 4 months old and my guarantee was for 2 years. Anyway we took insurance out on telephones via the bank and when hubby double checked the policies (we usually put the daughters phones on the policies as theirs are usually newer than mine). But low and behold there were the details of my mobile on the policy whoop whoop. We had to pay £100 excess but my phone was sent off and returned within a few days so I am a happy bunny.

We had a great time at the first Advent Calendar get together at the weekend. Here are some lovely photos of our time together. There are a couple of places available at the next Advent Calendar get together on 17th November. If you would like to come along and join us please do get in touch.

I am having a hand made Christmas this year. Lots of things that I am giving out as presents will be hand made even the wrapping paper. I didnt know that Christmas wrapping paper couldnt be recycled in any way shape or form but brown paper can. I need to be ready for Christmas by the middle of November as we shall not be in England for it this year. It will be too sad for me to be here so we shall go and spend it with the twins in Cyprus. So lots to do.

A wicked Thursday

Good morning and thank you popping in for a read today.

Feeling a lot brighter this morning and after couple of hours out I shall be in the craft room this afternoon and evening. If you have anything to collect, you are most welcome to pop in. Happy to put kettle on, any excuse.

I had a lovely day on Tuesday with lovely people and I sat and made the little table favours for our crafty get togethers this week.

The lids were embossed and then a little ink spread on them before sticking the 'Wicked' cut out and some ribbon on top. These have chocolate inside them.

Stampin' Up! still have the Everything is Rosy offer on, while stocks last. A really good price for a very pretty set. If you would like more information please do let me know.

I am in the process of making my Christmas pressents and making boxes to put presents in so it always looks like Santas little grotto at the minute. I am determined to use up all the Christmas papers that I own before purchasing more.

I shall be placing a little order tomorrow with Stampin' Up! If there is anything that you would like/need please let me know and I shall get that arranged for you.

Broadway Birthday Card

Good afternoon. Starting to feel a lot better today, not so tired and no more sneezing or coughing, which is always a good sign.

I had a little play in the craft room yesterday with Broadway Birthday stamp set and Broadway Lights dies.

and here is the insert that I did, again playing the dies.

I really enjoyed using this set and have in fact got another couple of cards half done which I shall complete later today.

We have had another couple of hours out in the fresh air to blow away the cobwebs, always helps.

Everything is Rosy

Good morning. I have been up since 3am as I have spent the last couple of days in bed, more or less. This cold really knocked me for six, apart from the usual runny nose, cough etc. the exhaustion is unbelievable. I am sure that I could feel each bone and muscle in my body and how it aches. Paul has been amazing as usual, getting tissues, tablets, vicks and cough syrups from the chemist and supplying me with hot drinks especially as he had exactly the same thing earlier in the week. We believe it is a Cypriot bug as my sister in law had it first, followed by Sophia.

I really enjoyed using this stamp set and matching dies and as soon as I am up to it, I will be making a few more cards. Quite a few birthdays at the end of the month and I think this is a great set for both the ladies and the gents as well as all different ages. It has been in the Stampin' Up! catalogue for a couple of years and I have only just got it.

For those that are waiting for news, the tins are ordered and should be here Monday or Tuesday, Mulberry Papers are here and ready for collection as well as the serviettes. Perhaps Tuesday would be a great day for a visit to collect.

Hope to have a little fresh air today, I feel as though I really need it. Possibly just sitting outside watching Paul doing a bit of gardening will suffice. Thanks for having a ready and I hope you have a wonderful Weekend. Tracey x

Wicked Wednesday

A very early morning start today. Been up a while as not feeling the best so will be resting up today.

Just look at what was made recently.

I have made up one of the coffins that Stampin' Up! have and teamed it with sparkly ribbon and the word Wicked. This will be the table favours for my October events. Of course there will be some little sweets tucked inside. Do you see that lovely scare crow/witch curvy keepsake, well that is the larger one but I do hope to be able to have a smaller one very soon.

The get togethers in October are now full and preperation is well under way.
