Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

Good morning and its going to be a hot one today, which is fine by me.

I have a few plans for today including the last of the washing and ironing, well it has to be done,  a start to securing drawers in the crafty space and a general dust down and clean up in there this week.

LAST DAY TODAY to get your £130 worth of goodies of your choice plus 2 FREE stamps for £99 from Stampin' Up!  Call me after 12 on 01332 721877 if you would like a little more information and, you dont have to live in Derby to do this.

Yesterday I was late finishing work again which will be the pattern for the whole week.  I then came home, sorted out tea and grabbed an hour with Liz.  No stamperettes party this month but hopefully there will be one at the end of July.

Here is one of the cards everyone made last week, along with a little tag

Love this set, Basic Butterfly and together with the butterfly dies, its just perfect.  I cant wait to finish off all the kits I have ready to replicate this card, I think that may be Thursdays job.

We are in the process of staining and protecting the new gates that are going on the other drive we have, yes we have two drive ways.  We purchased the gates back in January when they were half price and they have been in the conservatory for the past 6 months but hay, you got to save where you can.

First protective coat on, will do another tomorrow.  Then these will be put up at the end of the week, its getting exciting but messy at the Anthony's.
Time to have another de weeding session again today, if we do so much each day it keeps the pesky blighters at bay but just look at this.

I was given this as a housewarming present a year ago (this weekend it will be a year since we moved in).  It has lots of lovely yellow buds and I cant wait for them to open.

Well I have had a lazy start to the day so I had best go and get myself sorted, thanks for having a read and dont forget, last day to get all those goodies.

Have a great day x

Monday

Magic Monday Morning

Katerina got her uni results last night.  After 4 years of hard work, lots of laughter and some tears she got a fantastic 2:2 English Law Degree. I think it is brilliant especially as English is her second language, I am so very very proud of her, said with a tear in my eye, a great way to start the week.

Although we are starting the week, we are ending the month.  If joining Stampin' Up! is something you have been thinking of doing, NOW really is the right time.

Pay £99 and you get to choose products worth £130
2 free stamp sets of your choice
£45 worth of demonstrator products

Please do give me a call or if you prefer to pop round this afternoon or evening for a cuppa,  I can tell you a bit more about it.  Even if you do this just for you without intending to demonstrate at parties or shows, WOW what an offer.  It is not everyday that you get at least £50 of stamping products for nothing.

Here is a card that I made last week, which hopefully has already been received.

I made it with the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the Butterflies Thinlet dies.  These can be purchased as a bundle saving 15%.   Here is another card made with the same set that is on page 124 of the idea catalogue

Spent a couple of hours at mums yesterday, we had belated birthday cake to celebrate her birthday and Ollies birthday.  It was lovely for us all to get together and catch up, sis and brother in law were there as were my nieces and the children.  I got to grab onto Charleigh for a while which was super.

Even if she did give Paul a few strange looks, I cant image what she was thinking when this was taken.

Late afternoon saw me giving the crafty space its weekly clean and then I had a couple of super visitors and spent the hour nattering away, as you do.  I was told that if I cut the flowers from my sweet peas I will get more flowers, which I didnt know so I listened to the advice and here some of them are.

I just wish I could bottle up that smell and share it with you all, its wonderful

Well thank you for having a read today, I have gone on a little bit, its all the excitement.  Now I do have to go and get showered and ready for a morning at work.  Wishing you a wonderful Monday and dont forget, if you would like to find out more about getting all those SU freebies, do get in touch.

Sunday

Another Soggy Sunday?

The noise of the rain and thunder woke me up at 4.30am today so this afternoon I really will need a nap.  Mind you getting up early does have its benefits as I have got quite a few chores done already.

I have had a lovely week crafting and hope the ladies that have crafted with me have had an enjoyable time too.

These are the little packages I made up for everyone that came along to crafty week with something sweet inside.

As dad wasnt around at Fathers Day we celebrated his day last Thursday and here is the card that I made for him.
Do you fancy an evening with a tin of cards project?

You get a tin plus all the cards and accessories to complete 16 cards, use of the matching stamp set and inks, plus all the other stamps on hand, should you need them.  On Wednesday 15th July I have a couple of places spare in the crafty space if you fancy coming along.  The price is £26.50 which includes the tin and card kit, the class with cakes, refreshments etc.  If you would like more information, please do get in touch.

Nothing crafty now for a couple of weeks so its time to give the crafty space a good cleaning out, dusting down and fix things in place.  All my drawers need securing and going through, lots of little bits and pieces to finish off and time to get ready for the next couple of months events so that I know what I am supposed to be doing. I love getting organised.

Today its ironing and washing and generally getting everything ready for Pauls next trip away which is in a few days time.  Thanks for having a read, hope you stay dry x

Wednesday

Happy Birthday Steve

A lovely chappie at work celebrates his birthday today.

He is a big Derby County Supporter so I made him this

Today is also the day for the new Weekly Deals

I shall be putting my next order in on Sunday, should you wish to purchase anything do please let me know.  If you have any queries or questions about Stampin' Up! or crafting in general, I would love to help if I can.  Dont have your own local demonstrator?  I would love to be yours if you are looking for someone?  I have a wonderful crafty space that I am really happy to share so please do get in touch.

The downstairs loo is coming along quite nicely.  We cant plaster the walls until the new bathroom gets started but its all coming along nicely.

Just look at this cheeky chappie

I caught him asleep on Saturday morning and he is really large.  He has also been sleeping in my flower beds tut tut.

Right, I had best go and get the crafty space all cleaned up ready for the next get together.

Thanks for having a read and wishing you all, a lovely day, thanks for having a read.

Monday

Twit Twoo

Good morning Monday, going to be a bit of alsorts weatherwise, on this, the first day of Summer, never mind.

Yesterday I spent the day doing so many little things, finished nothing but hopefully, final touches today and everything will get finished phew.

I tried to get to a local village fate but was turned away as the road was closed/busy a chappy told me.  He gave me directions to get into the village another way, so off I go.  I got lost.  I eventually went where I thought I should be going only to be told that the road was busy, I need to park up and walk the next 10 - 15 minutes huh?  I couldnt walk that far so I was really sad to have to turn around and drive home.  I will be better prepared next year.

There have been a couple of birthdays last week too.  So I got a little creative, twit twoo. Loved making these cards and because I showed them to a couple of people, I have orders to make 6 more, whooppee.  I shall get busy making them next weekend.

Yestdrday I got nearly everything ready for crafty week this week.  I have 4 spaces available on Friday so if you feel like starting your weekend with a card making class, it would be lovely to see you.  We shall make two cards, a couple of tags and who knows what else.  Just get in touch and I can book your place.

Well I had best get a wiggle on, I dont want to be late.  Thanks for having a read and have a fantastic Monday x

Saturday

It is scrapbook Saturday

Hello on this muggy Saturday, oh yes another muggy one.  It is to be around 20 degrees today with low cloud.  A possible stormy shower later but only possible which means, I get to water the garden first this this morning as I dont want to loose all the lovely flowers and trees that we have growing at the moment.  It takes me about 40 minutes to do it and the bonus is, I get to see the changes in all the plants.  We had a few major changes last weekend with the awful weather

This wonderful very old rose had snapped under the weight of the rain, so here are the before and after pictures.

This bushy plant bent over in the wind and looked as though it was about to snap, so we gave it a good trim.

Of course my wonderful tree just had to have something done to it, it was leaning so badly.  We tied it to the telegraph pole outside the house, I do hope no one nasty with a pair of scissors cuts the twine off.  I think we may have to stake this next year.

One man sized ball of twine which we used for the tree.

Today is scrapbooking day.  I have a couple of very simple pages I would like to do, something I saw on pintrest and just loved it.  I also have to get my finger out getting scrapbooks done for the girls as I will be going out to see them in a couple of months.

Just some of the cards from last night, for some reason, they didnt all turn out very clearly.

We had a smashing night, learnt a trick or two and it ended the week on a very happy note (we had all had a busy week).

Best get started, have a wonderful day and thanks for having a read.

Thursday

Friday night card class anyone?

Do you fancy ending the week with a card making class?

I have a couple of spaces tomorrow, Friday 19th June, to make 3 cards and a couple of tags in the crafty space, Alvaston, Derby. The cost is £7 per person and includes everything you need except sticky stuff. There will be project sheets for you to take home, everything cut out ready for you, lots of tea/coffee and cake too. Always lots of crafty chatter and laughter. Starts around 7ish and is for both the beginner and experienced crafter. Please do get in touch if you fancy coming along either by commenting below, calling me on 01332 721877 or sending an email to tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com Here are two of the cards we shall make.

Wednesday

Choose Happiness

Lovely weather is forecast again today, I do enjoy it when its hot although I do know that not everyone likes it. A chance of some showers later, that is good, it helps to water in the new trees.

Monday saw me making last minute preperations for our Monday Make and phew, what a lovely evening it was.  Lots of ladies, lots of new faces and lots of cards made.  Here is one that we did in Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Crush Curry and the new Watermelon Wonder.

The stamp set is Choose Happiness and it is a really versatile set, one that you would regret not purchasing.

The night went on rather late but hay, when you are having fun time flies.  The good thing is at the end of an event I can turn off the lights, close the door and leave it until the next day so yesterday I cleaned all up.  You wouldnt know that anyone has been in there, honest.  So then I had a few birthday cards to make and still not finished but last night I was bushed.

Tonight I have the Perpetual Calendar Event where you get the whole kit plus use of the stamps and anything else you may need.  I have had one cancellation so if you feel like making this, please do get in touch as soon as possible.  It is first come first served basis.

Right, I had best get into work, I have been doing a few extra hours lately as its busy.  Thanks for having a read and hope you have a lovely day x

Sunday

Quiet Sunday

Good morning and a little bit of a sad day today, hubby is off on his travels again.

Yesterday we unpacked another box that contained these

Arent they lovely.  There is a little story behind them. Mum in law gave them to us quite a few years ago and they hung on the walls in the spare room at the other house.  When we decided to sell the house we had a lot of problems buying the one we are in now, it was tooing and frooing  for quite a few months.  One day Paul was on the telephone in the kitchen when we were told that the house was ours and we were given our moving date.  Whist he was on the phone, we heard THUD, followed by THUD THUD, well you get the picture, (excuse the pun).  After the phone call we both went upstairs to see what the noise was and both of these pictures were on the floor, the nails were in the wall, the hanging string was intact and there is no explanation as to how they fell off.  Paul was so intriged he got a ladder and climbed up and hit the outside wall to see if there was a problem and the wall vibrated, causing these pictures to come off.  His explanation.....an elephant flew into the wall. I am not too sure where they will go in the new home but I am having them valued out of interest.

Lots of SU goodies were collected yesterday so I know that lots of ladies are crafting today and to tell you the truth, I will be out there soon too.  I am setting up the room for tomorrow nights get together, which is a full house.

Thanks for having a read, lots of crafty bits to share with you tomorrow but, should you wish to order anything from the new catalogue, I am placing an order this evening at around 5pm.

Enjoy your day x

Saturday

Soggy Saturday

Good morning and what a wet one it is today, do you like the quote?  The forecast is for rain up to around 6pm this evening and then it will start again around 10pm and continue throughout the night and all day tomorrow.  At least I wont have to water the plants, the cardboard boxes are turning to mush and the windows can wait another week, so there are so good things for a rainy day but I wish it would do it during the week and not weekend, never mind.

Up with the larks today so on a mission to get a few more little jobs jobed.

Here is the next stage of the downstairs toilet - all ready to have floor tiles.

Last night was an evening spent stamping, colouring and cutting images ready to turn them into Christmas cards, hopefully they will be finished over the weekend.

SU goodies arrived WHOOP WHOOP.  I know a few ladies are coming over next week for a couple of classes but if you want your goodies this weekend, give me a call and we can arrange a little get together.

Speaking of classes - do you fancy making 3 very femine cards on Friday night?  £7 per person  to make 3 cards, a couple of tags and have lots of happy crafting chatter. The only thing you need to bring with you is glue and enthusiasm, a great way to end the week.  The price includes everything else as well drinks and cakes.  This event will take place in Alvaston, Derby, do get in touch if you would like more information or to book your place.

I am sorting out lots of items, including crafting items to sell today.  I will do this on facebook and my blog so if there is anything they you would like, just give me a call on 01332 721877 or send me an email tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com

Off to make an early start, wishing everyone a lovely day, despite the weather.  Thanks for having a read.

Thursday

Thursdays post

Good morning and today is going to be another hot one.

For me it will be hot and dusty as the little utility room is being turned into a 'downstairs toilet'.  I cant tell you how much dust is being created as I am sure you already know.

Here it is all cleaned out, new boiler in place and hole cut just behind the new toilet.  I shall post more photos as and when things happen.

I had lovely time at Tracey's on Tuesday with lots of lovely ladies throughout the afternoon and evening.  So sorry a few of you who said you were coming along didnt make it, hopefully we will see you next time.

I havent had a chance to be creative the last couple of days but I sure hope to make up for that later today.
WEEKLY DEALS
These offers from Stampin' Up! last the week. If you would like to purchase anything, do let me know by Sunday and I will send in a cheekly little order tut tut

Speaking of orders I had 2 very small boxes arrive on Tuesday and that is it.  I am waiting for at least 3 large boxes of goodies but Stampin' Up! have put out a couple of announcements saying that they have never had so many orders from the new catalogue and despite extra shifts and more staff,  everything is taking a little longer.  On top of that, there are strikes in Germany (this is where our orders come from), which will effect us getting our goodies, yikes.

Must get myself to work, have a lovely day and thanks for having a read x

Monday

Magical Monday Morning

Good morning and another start to another week. I have just read that it is going to be another warm one at 17 degrees but cloudy.  More watering to be done tonight then.

Apart from the electrics, Paul has finished the interior of his man cave
Now we have to start putting the shelving up and moving the boxes over wow, the house is going to suddenly get a bit bigger.

Christiana took part in the world record challenge of more than 400 toyota cars on the road in a single line yesterday.

She thought that over 1200 cars turned up but she doesnt know how many actually took part in this, we shall see in time but she loved it.  I said it was a once in a life time chance and I am so proud of her for doing this.

Here are a couple of thank you cards I made using some different coloured inks along with the Flower Fair stamp set on Saturday.

I couldnt waste a good stamped out image could I?

There is only one place left on the screen card class on Monday 15th June and there is only place left in the new Stamperettes series 14 due to start on 29th June, with a Stampin' Up! party.  If you would like to come along on 15th June or / and join the Stamperettes this time round just let me know by giving me a call on 01332 721877 or send an email to tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com or come along and have a cuppa and a chat tomorrow, Tuesdays at Traceys.  Kettle is on from 2ish till 4ish and again from 6.30is for a couple of hours.  Stampin' Up! orders are due tomorrow too so come along and collect yours if you placed one just prior to 2nd June.

Still spaces left on Friday 19th June for the set of lacy cards and Scrapbook Day / Project Life day on 20th.

I will go and get ready and start my day oh, did I mention, no work today WHOOP WHOOP.  Paul and I are home the whole day together getting a lot more jobs sorted out.

Thanks for having a read, have a wonderful day and please, do get in touch if I can help in any way at all with Stampin' Up!

Sunday

Another Sunny Sunday

I was up with larks again this morning and I dont mind, even though it is Sunday.  I have lots planned for today and who minds if I put my feet up around 9pm tonight and have an early night?

Yesterday was lovely, lots of ladies, lots of chatter and a really enjoyable day, thanks to everyone who made it.  Speaking of made it, this is what we did.
We also had a play with this card and for Jane, who stamped for the very first time, she made a great job of her card. *waving*

Of course the day wouldnt have been complete without a raffle for this prize

and this where Paul came in

Julie....its all yours whoop whoop.

I managed to get the craft room all ready for the next event which is Christmas Cards and Chatter evening next Friday so now I have a week to play, oh my, where do I start?

Katerina has just done her first week at work, bless her, 35 degrees in a beech bar yikes.  Sophia has finished her last exam for this semester so guess where she will be tomorrow, yes, 35 degrees in a beech bar.

Christiana is doing something wonderful today.  She is taking part in a world record
something quite unusual is scheduled to happen at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia. A few hundred cars, maybe as many as 500 – but no fewer than 427, at the very least – will form the Cyprus Car Parade, an attempt to set a new Guinness world record.
Ranged in a line, with no gaps between them (the whole thing will be filmed, to provide documentary evidence), the cars will drive from the GSP towards the Latsia flyover and back again – a distance of around 4.5 kilometres – never breaking formation or allowing other cars to come between them. Given the logistics, which of course will require stewards and police support, it’s a bit surprising that anyone is eligible to take part, regardless of their driving skills – but it’s true: anyone who owns a Toyota, whether new or used, is welcome to turn up at 10.30am and add their car to the automotive conga-line, trying to break the record of 426 cars currently held by Toyota Denmark. She is so excited about this, I just hope it happens.

Right, I am off to start my day in the sunshine, thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day x
