Happy Birthday Sally

Good morning, brrr, we are still venturing out with many layers on due to the weather.  When you are in the sunshine it’s beautiful but boy there is a cold wind.  As soon as the clouds come over, it’s bitter.  It won’t stop us having a relaxing break and spending time with the girls though.

Here is a card that I made recently

Something a little different for me but really enjoyed making this, well who doesn’t like a bit of time colouring?  The stamp was an old one from my stash and I sat and coloured it in using Stampin’ Up! Wax crayons which were retired quite a few years ago.  One of my favourite ways to colour images for card making.

Thanks for having a read, I hope you have a great day.  Below are some details of Stampin’ Up! Promotions for the month of March.

Have you seen the special offer on the bundles that Stampin’ Up have.  You have the whole month of March to grab one of these bargains.

You may have to click on the image to make it larger.

Not forgetting the die cutting machine that is also on offer this month.

And then there is this promotion which runs right up to the end of May.

A late Birthday card Flowing Flowers and Gilding Flakes

Good morning.  Yesterday was a bit of a damp day, rain showers, thunder and rather cold.  However we had rainbows on and off throughout the day.  The photo above was taken from the side of the apartment.

Not much crafting going on at the moment, I haven’t had 5 minutes yet.  But this card was made for a friend who I didn’t know had her birthday.  I am sure I can share it now.

It is very similar to my previous gilding flake card as I had everything out on the table at the time.We shall be playing with the gilding flakes in May at one of the Stampin’ Social Sessions.  Not sure what these are, here are the details for Aprils.

Thanks for having a read, I hope you have a great day.  Below are some details of Stampin’ Up! Catalogues and special offers x

Aunty Jean Birthday and Clean Monday

Good afternoon, a lovely warm sunny afternoon here.  Warm enough to sit outside and eat a fish lunch with the family.

Today is clean (or Green as some say) Monday.  It is the start of lent for the Greek Orthodox calendar and marks a period of fasting for 40 days, until Easter.  Not everything we ate today was true fasting but wow, what a feast.  There was fresh fish cooked on the bbq, octopus and salmon.  Two different salads, chips and fresh bread with dips.  It was truly amazing and I loved every second spent with the girls and the family, I do feel very fortunate.

An update on the noisy dog situation - two policeman visited our apartment last night.  They came to tell us that it is the second time that they visited the noisy dogs but they don’t have permission to go on the land.  They are coming back tomorrow with the council to see if the dogs are registered.  Another of our neighbours went to report the noise to the police station today.  I will let you know what happens.

Here is a card that was made using the Hand Penned Memories and more cards along with Night of Navy card and ribbon.

It was a Happy Birthday card for Aunty Jean who turned 94 earlier this month.

Stampin’ Up! Have another wonderful promotion and here are the details

Sunday

Anniversary card From a One Sheet Wonder

Good afternoon.  It’s very cloudy and rather cold today brrrr.

An update on the dog situation. A neighbour has started a group and we all met up.  So many people are being kept awake at night, upset by the dogs treatment etc. etc.  Flyers are being printed and we have another meeting arranged.  In the meantime we called the police station and they don’t have enough man power to see who owns the dogs, really.  So we have found out the owners name, his contact details and the registration number of his car.  This has been taken to the police station.  We shall see what happens next as we are going back to the police station on Friday.

We had a wonderful lunch with Sophia earlier in the week.

Friday it was dinner with Katerina.  Saturday was coffee and cakes with family and this morning it was breakfast with everyone.  I got to meet one of the girls babies, she is the first baby that the group have.  Katerina and Sophia are her god mothers. Here are a couple of photos of my Katerina with baby Katerina.

This Anniversary card was made using a part of the one sheet wonder I created some time ago following Ruth Magness instructions.  I stamped all over my sheet to start with and then I went over with one of the masks from Stampin' Up! Using a blending brush and filled in the white space.

The Anniversary sentiment has been created by using the many messages stamp set and co-ordinating die

You are able to stamp out just once the whole set of many messages and put it through the die cutting machine and it cuts them all out.

Thanks for having a read today and I hope you have a great Sunday afternoon.  Tracey x

Thursday

Jar of Flowers

Good morning.  Another damp and wet day in paradise but I can cope with that.  We are off for lunch with Sophia today and hopefully purchasing some new chairs for the dining table.

Outside our apartment complex there were 2 dogs in kennels on land about m away.  Upon our return there are now 12 dogs in kennels and the noise is awful. The dogs bark, whine and howl all through the day and the night.  We are awoken at all hours in the night so feeling very tired in the day time.  Our neighbours above us has had double glazing fitted, something that is unusual.  They have had additional pvc frames and windows fitted to the outside of their existing windows.  Oh it looks very nice but it goes to show that folk are at the end of their tether with the noise.  Lots of people have tried to do things so we shall try too.  We have called the police and made a complaint.  We shall call back this evening to see what they say…..I will keep you updated.

It was Ruths Birthday recently and this is the card that I made for her using an older Stampin' Up! set called jar of flowers.

I shall be making a few more of these as I love the way it turned out.  If you fancy making one or two with me, in May, please let me know.

Well I had best get myself ready for our lunch date.  Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a great day.  Tracey x

Flowing Flowers and Savings in Bloom

Good morning and hello March.   It’s nice to have a brighter morning and the days are getting noticably longer.  It won’t be too long before we alter our clocks again.

Rachel Tessman created a lovely card using the Flowing Flowers stamp set which I fell in love with.  I am sure you have seen a card and knew instantly that you had to try and replicate it, well this is how I felt.  So I got to work and created this Thank You card which was inspired by the card that Rachel made.

I have also wanted to have  another attempt with my gilding flakes as all my previous attempts haven’t been the best.  I went with just a few highlights here and there.  I did get in a mess, I just have to acknowledge the fact that I am a messy crafty.  But the card turned out better than I thought and I do hope the postman has delivered it already. Details of all the products I used are below.

To start of the Spring Season Stampin’ Up! have a fantastic promotion of 20% discount off the Cut and Emboss machine as well a selection of die/bundles.

If you have been considering getting one of these bundles, it’s a great time to get them.  You can click on the Shop Here icon below to take you straight to the Stampin’ Up! shop or get in touch with me and I will happily help you with your order.

Thank you so much for having a read today.  Tracey x
