Delightful Daisies

Morning, I wanted a lie in today but I woke up very early and couldnt get back to sleep, oh well, perhaps a nana nap later will help.

A wonderful evening was had last night, thank you to all the lovely ladies that I shared evening with.  A few cards were made, drinks were had, cakes were courtesy of Mr. Spencer and Mark as my fingers wouldnt allow me to bake but they were nice.  I dont think we have all laughed so much for so long, it is good for the soul.

A Delightful Daisy card was made.  These daisies are everywhere on the internet and I can certainly see why, very addictive.

On this card the daisy stamp and punch were used as well as the papers.  Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight were the ink and card colours and of course, to do the colouring in, the lovely Shimmery White Card Stock was used to punch out the daisies.   The card front was finished off with a faceted gem, which are so very sparkly.  If you would like more information about the card and what was used to make it, please get in touch.  A very big thank you goes to Julie H and Sheila H for all their help, without it we wouldn't have been able to get together last night.

Thank you for popping in for a read and, if you fancy popping in for a cuppa and a catch up tomorrow, there will be lots happening in the craft room all day, it would be lovely to see you. Tracey x

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

Good morning and it looks a bit dark outside the curtains today.  The forecast is for storms but they said this last week too, and they never arrived.  So today will be what it is.

Yesterday we spent out time between doctors and hospital.  I had to have emergency blood tests on Saturday and my doctor called me on Sunday to tell me that the results of the test probably means that I have a blood clot (s).  So yesterday it was back to the doctors followed by emergency scans on my leg.  I am so pleased that the results came out that there are no blood clots and I have a very bad infection, phew.  A very scary time.

So today is another day and I hope to finish off a few more bits in the craft room.  Paul is taking me out at lunch time for a bite to eat and then it will be back to the craft room.

Some more birthday cards made for the box.

Another old stamp that does get inked up now and again all coloured in with Stampin' Up! markers.  I had fun making these but I did make quite a mess in the craft room, ooops.

Off to finish my cuppa and start my day.  Wishing you a wonderful Tuesday and thank you for having a read.  Tracey x

Sunday

New Home cards

Good morning, up bright and early today but what can you expect, I was in bed by 9pm.  I believe that there is a saying early to bed and early to rise.

I cant believe that we have been home a week already.  So what has happened to the weather? It is still very muggy here in Derby, the temperature in our garden yesterday went up to 23 degrees so all the plants were watered once more.  I must say, the front garden looks wonderful with all the flowers out.  Some weeding needs to be done but that is a job that will have to wait a while as we are both a pair of 'old crocks' at the moment, I thought holidays were supposed to be good for you?

New home cards have been needed a couple of times and I didnt have any so I soon put that right.  I spent a lovely couple of hours with a few penny black stamps, little claire sayings and my Stampin' Up! water colour pencils.

A few little marks made by little peoples fingers were soon covered over with a butterfly or two.

Dont forget it is a weekend of crafting next weekend, Saturday 10.00 - 4.00 and Sunday 2.00 - 5.00.  If you fancy having a go at making a card, seeing some new crafting goodies from Stampin' Up! and having a go at a raffle, please do call in, it will be lovely to see you.  If you would like to get details of the venue, just let me know.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely Sunday x

Friday

Mums Birthday Card

Good morning.  14 degrees which is a lot cooler this morning compared to yesterday.  It is still very muggy here though and those storms we were promised, not appeared at all.

I am still pottering around the house doing bits and pieces and the effects of the injection have now worn off thankfully.

Here is another birthday card that I made and couldnt share with you because of internet issues a couple of weeks ago, it was for mum as it was her birthday whilst we were away.

I loved making this, it is an older stamp that I have and I teamed it up with the Stampin' Up! stitched frames.  Those frames are just perfect on any creation that you make.

Mum has had a pretty tough time the last few months, infection after infection and then the discovery that the infections were caused by bowel cancer.  She had the operation to remove the cancerous tumor and we are very lucky that she got the all clear.  On top of that mum suffers from skin cancer which she has been told was caused by all the hours sunbathing many years ago.  Two weeks ago she had another 2 areas of skin cancer removed from her face so she doesnt look the best although the wounds are healing.  I keep giving her lots of hugs, because I can.

I have another exciting day today so I will go and have my shower and get breakfast (this can take up to  2 hours when my hands dont work well, which is how they are today).  Thank you for having a read, wishing you a wonderful day.  Tracey x

Thursday

Tranquil Thursday

Well hello *waving*. Lots of new faces have been visiting from all over the world and it is wonderful to know you have been.

Here are some cards I made to say Thank You this month.  I have now realised that the background is a little busy so I wont be using that again, oops.

I used the wonderful little noteletts and envelopes that SU have as it is a card base that is all ready to use, no cutting required.  The new Tranquil Tulip Hostess set saw ink for the first time and I have so many ideas for this stamp set, I just wish there were more hours in the day so that I can craft a little longer.  Then I used the petite petals for the sentiment along with the punch making it such an pleasant cant to make.

There is a card making class being held in Alvaston, Derby tomorrow evening with a few places available. If you would like to go along or find out more details, please let me know.

Off for that shower now and crossing my fingers that we get some rain today.  Thanks for having a read x

Wednesday

Midweek musing

Good morning and today I see it is going to get up to 28 degrees again, phew a bit hot.  The weather on the local news last night that there were going to be a few thunder storms around but Mr. Weather man doesnt say anything about those this morning so we shall just have to to wait and see if we get any or not.

I got my nanny nap yesterday afternoon, 3 whole hours worth.  I felt a lot better for it.    After reading through the blog yesterday I realised that I got a few cards mixed up with posts but whilst I was on holiday it was very difficult to use the internet and Mr. Blogger wasnt being too helpful either.

This is the card I should have shared a couple of weeks ago, my sisters birthday card.

Instead I shared my grand daughters card with you, never mind.

I am feeling a lot better today health wise, yesterday was very tough.  The sickness feeling along with dizziness and just so bloated isnt nice at all.  Lets hope I soon get used to the increased dose of medication and can fuction on it before it is increased again.

Paul returns to work today after 4 weeks of being off. We dont know if he will be setting off to work away later today or not, fingers crossed he wont be.

Do you remember Christianas rug that she was making.  Well she finished it and put it in her bedroom.

She started another one for Sophia

and she finished that one.  Now she is hoping to start another one, if she can find the wool in Cyprus.

She put a photo onto a facebook group of both rugs and she has had nearly 900 likes along with lots of comments.  She is so proud and happy, which is wonderful.

Off to potter a little bit before hitting that shower.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful day x

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

Good morning and what a lovely morning.  I was up at 4am yep.  Not feeling the best after a jab yesterday but I know as the day goes on, I will improve.

I got up, opened all the doors including the front door and have an amazing breeze coming through the house.  I managed to get the unpacking finished and two lots of washing on the line before 8am.  I am sure that a nana nap will be needed later in the day.

My neighbours have been looking after our garden whilst we have been away and it looks lovely.  Last night whilst I was in bed (8pm) Paul started doing some tidying up in the garden and this morning I walked into the kitchen to this.

the smell is wonderful.

A little card to share with you

It was Ollies birthday on Sunday and this is the card I made before I left.  I am told he liked it.

Fancy a craft night this Friday?  Please get in touch if you do.

Off to put away a few more bits before nipping in to look at the craft room.  Have a great day and thanks for having a read x

Monday

Home

Home, phew.  We had a wonderful time and I can certainly recommend a 3 part holiday again.  The first week with Rob, Nat and the grandchildren, the second week with Christiana and the third and a bit week in a house where everyone comes to visit, to stay, to cook, to swim, to eat.  Wonderful.

But what about our return, we hear that Derby is now called Derbados ha ha ha.  It is certainly very hot. It was hotter here in Derby last night than it was in Larnaca.  Not sure how long it is going to last for though.

So today is a very late start but we have already done so much, unpacked, been for blood tests, weekly shop, cooked lunch and had visitors.  This afternoon is the dreaded washing and putting stuff away.

I did manage to make a few cards on holiday, this being one of them.

Best get a move on, still got 101 things to do.  Thanks for having a read x

Thursday

Midweek musing

Good morning and it is still lovely starting my week in a sunnier climate, next week I shall wake up in my own bed.

We had a fab weekend with lots of people but I had plenty of rest. Today we are off to see a very dear friend of mine who helped me when I first arrived on the island, all those years ago.

Mr. Blogger is still not letting me add photos of new places we have been to share with you but for some reason, I can post this one, which is lovely.

Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day x

Monday

quick hello

Good evening, cooler at the moment, around 26 with a breeze.

I am happy to report that it has been a drama free day, had an hours snooze and even managed a little play in my temporary crafting area.

I was so frightened of my glitter spilling out that I taped the lid shut and then wrapped it in 3 differnt bags, fortunately it was still in tact.  I managed to make a few cuties but for some reason, mr blogger wont allow me to put photos on my blog again, which is really annoying.

We had a chappie come and put light bulbs in as half of the lights didnt work in the villa. Yesterday we had chappie come with batteries for all remote controls, i wonder who will come tomorrow and for what reason.

Off for half an hour with pinterest, thanks for having a read.x

Tuesday

Tuesdays giggle

Good evening, anothrter day and another move.  We are now in Proteras by the sea and to be honest, I am sat here cold.

Staying with Christiana gives us the chance to do a few bits and pieces for her. She has a lovely big store close by called Super Home Center so off we went for a visit. We puchased the shower curtain rail, the shower curtain, hooks and other bits and pieces that Paul needed. Then Sophia called, "fancy a coffee" of course we replied so she said stay there, I am on my way. So we loaded up the car, locked it up and jumped into Sophias car.  Well 7 hours later, after coffee, dinner, a visit from friends Sophia took us to pick up the car only to find that it had been locked in the car park.  Fortunately there was a security chappie nearby who opened the gate to allow us to bring the car out but what a shock and a giggle.

We have found lots of eateries, cafes and tavernas and most have been great. I have loved not having to cook but oh oh, the pounds are starting to add up, never mind, diet when I get home.

Fingers crossed I can get the craft bag opened tomorrow and do a little stamping and colouring in.

Paul and I after yet another meal

No crafting done at all but wow, some stunning cards out there on the internet from all the new Stampin' Up! Products. Diary dates are starting to fill up too, just what we need, depending in health if course.

Saturday

Good morning Saturday

Good morning and with a forecast of 30 degrees, it really is going to be a good morning.

I have been rather poorly the last few days with a headache of all headaches, nausea and tiredness. I slept the day away on Thursday and yesterday just sat in a cafe, then a taverna and finally a kebab shop. I have woken up this morning a lot brighter and hoping that the worst is over.  I have been well looked after by hubby and girls.

Today I shall have another attempt at updating the blog with the new catalogue details, if it fails, I shall have to wait another couple of weeks.

Would you like to host a Stampin Up party towards the end of June, in my craft studio? All hostesses can get an addition £30 of hostess rewards when the order total reaches £300.  Please get in touch if you fancy this or if you would like to go along to a party, i can give you some dates when these are being held.

Here is a card I made for nephews little girls birthday

Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day x
