Monday

Happy Birthday Christiana

Good morning and another start to another week.  This week starts with a birthday for an amazing daughter.  Christiana is 28 years old today and she is one of the bravest people I know.  She copes each day with an illness by getting on with life.  She is such a wonderful daughter (one of my three wonderful daughters).  Here are some cards that she will be opening, today,  the first from mummy and Paul

and a few close ups, just so that you can see the detail

A photo of the insert of the card

And the envelope of course

I wish I had had the envelope liners before I went away as I would have loved to have a matching envelope liner as the card, getting a bit picky now arent I.

Here is a sample of the wrapping paper I found in Cyprus, I wrapped all her presents up in it

We are going to chat on Skype and she will open her pressies, bless.

Here are the last two cards for today, from the twins

I am meeting up with a friend this afternoon for a coffee after work and a catch up as we havent seen each other for months, really looking forward to that but first of all....off to work I go.

Have a lovely day, I hope that all is well in your world and hugs, if it isnt.  Thanks for having a read and more updates tomorrow

Sunday

Smile, breathe and go slowly....on a Sunday

Good morning Sunday and phew, what a hectic few days I have had, oh, that isnt a complaint, I have just had lots to do and as you know, the blog has to take a back seat for a while but hopefully, I can catch up with you all now. Today I am chilling, putting away all the bits from yesterday and that will be about it.

Friday night I spent my evening with a wonderful group of ladies, thank you so much Nannie J, it was fantastic. We made a couple of cards, played with the softest dog I have ever seen and I met two new friends.  I must say that they are all a bad influence as I didnt get home till nearly midnight...*laughing*...  you cant imagine Paul's face when I got home.  I had forgotten that we have two 11 o'clocks in one day.

Yesterday I was up bright and early as I had my first Christmas card class.  I say first because I have been asked to do another one in October, oh wow how fantastic is that?  Well it is for me.  Lots of friends yesterday made 4 cards, a couple of tags to match the cards and it was a brilliant day.  A big thank you to everyone that came along and to Jayne for all her help (she cleaned up the kitchen for me, thank you).  Sue O won the raffle, congratulations Sue.  The raffle basket really is overflowing with crafty and non crafting items so it was a tough decision for her.  We drank coffee, ate mince pies and other bits (not as nice as the cake I had on Friday night though).

Here is one of the cards that we made

This is in the Seasonal Catalogue (not got one yet, just tell me and I will put it into the post to you).  I saw this and just knew I had to make one, do you ever do that?  It is a stamp set called Warmth & Wonder and there are 7 stamps for £10.  It is a hostess set so what are you waiting for, lets have a Stampin' Up! party so you can get your hands on this.  I will even show you how to make it.  I have used Pool Party ink along with Dazzling Diamond sparkly glue.  The papers are from the new Winters Frost pack of 12 x 12 and they are smashing.  Do you like the stitching up the side?  Those that know me know I dont like sewing but I do love this kind.

Now we had to have the tags to match too.  Again its pool party ink and card.

I missed a few people over the weekend so sending hugs to those that couldnt make it and hopefully, you will be able to pop along to the next Christmas Card class in October, I just need to sort out a date.

So as I already said, today I need to put all my bits and pieces away so that I start the week with a clean mind, well kinda but you know what I mean.  I need to nudge the last of the Stamperettes *nudge* *nudge* to get in touch and get myself ready for a fab evening in front of the telly, well it is x factor and Downton Abbey....bliss.

If you would like to order anything today from SU before 4pm, please let me know as I am submitting an order.  The p+p will be 50p as I will have the delivery sent to my home address.  You can still order on line, get discounted items from the clearance rack and get everything delivered direct to your door,  by clicking on the SHOP NOW banner on the right hand side of my blog

Thank you for having a read  and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

Monday

Happy Birthday Ant

Well hello week, Monday again and here we go, back to work.  I did my stint and I can honestly say it just flew by.  It took me a while to catch up with what has been happening, dust a few things down and then after a meeting, it was time to come home, when I say home I mean leave work.

I nipped in for a quick coffee with one of my best friends and a catch up of the goss, well girls have to do what girls have to do.  Got the SU order, oh yes.  I will be sorting it all out next so, if you have something on order I HAVE IT.  As its Tuesday at Traceys tomorrow, it will all be sorted and ready for you.

Right,  off to sort out a few more bits and catch up on SU news.  Who would have thought that coming home on a very late flight would have left me feeling soooo tired?

Thanks for having a read.

Friday

Friday, end of the week and end of the holiday

Well the packing is nearly done, the goodbyes are nearly said and the jumpers are out.

We had a lovely day yesterday, went to the beach, for the last time of our holiday, out for dinner with the folks and the girls and then bed at a reasonable hour.

I forgot to show you a few things we found on our trips out and about.  We parked at this for more than 3 weeks before we realised what it was
Mum and dads favourite spot to people watch

The donkey?

As we don't get back until the very early hours of Saturday and I will be shattered, I shall give the blog a miss over the weekend but please, do nip and have a look on Monday as I am sure there will be lots of news for you.

Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful weekend.  Looking forward to catching up with everyone next week

Stampin' Up! Christmas Stamps 2013

If you click on the picture above and make it larger, you can read all the words properly.  I had to pinch this image from another blog as I cant access my SU page at the moment, such a poor connection, it all times out, oops.  If you would like to purchase one or all of these, you can do so by going to my on-line shop, send me an email tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com or give me a call next week 01332 721877.

The storms in Cyprus happened on tuesday, we left the house to one single little fluffy cloud in the sky, how sweet

but then came back to this sky

Brrr it turned chilly (about 29 degrees) and windy.  Everything was blowing everywhere, we had to tie things down lol, okay well maybe not that bad.  The girls came over and we all went out for a bite to eat.  Sophia was really happy with her name day present

Well I know its coming home time as my chair broke boooo hoooo goodbye chair

I shall have to get another one next year.
Yesterday Paul and I spent the day driving around, going to see places we hadnt visited in a while and it was so upsetting to see how the beautiful scenic places have been turned into night clubs, shops and tattoo parlours.  I couldnt believe it.  We were lucky to find a little place fairly untouched still and had a bite to eat on the edge of the river.  Here is the view that we enjoyed.

Paul had to choose his fish yaks

If I was you, I would create an account at my online shopping store because you could be in with a treat next week "nudge, nudge, wink, wink*.  if you have any problems, just let me know.

I would like to say a big thank you for having a read and wishing you a lovely day, I am now getting over 300 views on the blog each day so a little *wave* to you.

Tuesday

Happy Name Day Sophia

Good morning in this fine Tuesday. We are supposed to get rain today which isn't too good but I will let you know if it happens.

Yesterday we managed to get to this lovely shop in Paralimni, it is called Parfois and we dont have one of these in UK.  It is a wonderful shop, full of handbags, shoes, jewellery, scarves and other pretties.  We got a couple of bits for Christmas presents, gifts for the grandchildren and maybe, just maybe a handbag fell into my little shopping bag.  The reason that we went was that Sophia saw a necklace, priced at 40 euros but looking at the internet, it was 12.90 so I was off to see if the shop keeper would honor the internet price.  Sophia looked at the wrong price dur.  The necklace was 12.90 so of course, I got it for her and its here all ready for when she arrives later as today is her name day.  I liked the necklace so much that I asked if they had another one but she said no.  When we left the shop we saw a bead shop so Paul asked if I wanted to go, I didnt need asking twice.

Off we went and WOW it was massive and the prices of everything was amazing so I spent a little bit in there, thinking that I could make something similar to the necklace that I had just purchased for Sophia.
You wouldnt believe it but butter fingers me dropped a whole pot of little beads that my hubby had to pick up the whole shop went quiet and I blushed.  anyway, i managed to get a few bits and pieces and then paul suggested we went back to parfois to collect something else, which we did and the shop assistant had found another necklace for me lol.

Cakes, cakes and cakes, these are what mum and dad came with on sunday.
do you know, i havent cooked one Sunday lunch whilst being here and the girls havent minded at all, phew. here is a little donkey we found last night.

Sophias name day today, Happy Name day honey and i hope you have a great day xx

Thanks for having a read, have a lovely day xx

Monday

oh no, Monday morning

Here we go, another Monday and its the last Monday of my holiday.  This time next week I will be back at the desk but not thinking of that, just yet.

I got a present from my mum

I have a little dinky black holiday handbag and a smallish purse but always struggle to get my purse in my bag but this little one fits a treat, thanks mum.

It is rather cloudy and overcast here today, forecast is rain tomorrow, really.  Not sure what the plans are but i do hope to go to a little shop that we found last week. Sophia  saw a lovely necklace but at 40 euros I thought it was overpriced.  I told her that if we could find a photo of the necklace, I would try and make it for her. We went on the net, found the same necklace, from the same shop at 19.50 euros??? We are rather puzzled so I would like to go back and see what they say about the price plus they had some lovely handbags.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day.

Sunday

On a lazy Sunday......

Sunday and hopefully, it will be a day of rest for me.  unfortunately, this is my last sunday with the girls for a while but, they are all planning on coming to UK for Christmas.  Today I really will rest as I am shattered.  Its been a couple of days now that Paul hasnt been well and in this heat, everything is always a lot worse.  I have been running around doing all sorts, not gettting much chance of a sit down but today he is a lot better YEAH so I think I will put my feet up.

Sophia and Christiana are with us still so lots of catching up time.

Yesterday we went for a walk around the coastline, right by the villa we are in, OMG how the other half live.  The houses (massive) look lovely from the front but then we followed a little path, in between the houses.  So you have the house then the back patio area, then a lovely garden and bbq area, then the pool area and then green, green grass with palm trees and lots of flowers which opens up, to the steps of a wonderful little beach cove.  It was amazing......so come on lottery, lets have a win. Here are a few pictures that were taken of the cove

Here is a card that I have made, I have done a few of these using the large 12 x 12 Stampin' Up! Designer Pads.  I have found that I use these pads up as quick as anything as all the colours of the 12 x 11's  are the perfect match for the inks and card.

Need something from stampin' Up! or would you like something to add to your collection? I am submitting an order on wednesday and if you would like to add to this you can, from the comfort of your own home with  online shipping.  The hostess code that you need is YZDEA9B.  If you havent tried on line shopping for SU products, why not give it a go today?

Thank you for visiting and having a read, dont forget, its Christmas Card making in a couple of weeks, have a lovely day.

Saturday

Saturday, Saturday, Saturday

Saturday

The weekend arrived and I am sure its going to be a lovely one for me with Sophia and Christiana, who are due to arrive today.  Katerina is settling back into her UK life in Preston but there has been a little bit of a problem with her flat.  The people who live above her had a water leak, which has damaged some walls in Katerinas place.  Fortunately, the landlady is going to get the walls repainted. However, this leak went to the flat underneath Katerinas and then into the one below that, yikes. Here is a photo of the three girls together

Weather here is a lot cooler now, really nice and manageable or did I just get used to the heat?  not sure.  I havent seen any news since my arrival but we have been given a website to watch live UK TV so I will put the news on soon, to see what is happening in the UK.

We had a day at home yesterday as Paul is a bit under the weather.  Fingers crossed that he feels better today but, it did give me chance to finish off the watercolouring of my swaps for Convention and to start the tops of my Christmas Cards.  I will come home quite organised.

Meet Tiddy (or Fleabag, or Ginger or Garfield, all depends who you ask what its name is).  She adopted us and I can assure you, I dont really want her around.

She is just having water, I havent fed her at all well, she isnt my cat.

Thanks for having a read today and I wish you a wonderful weekend.

Friday

happy Friday

Well it's here and I am sure there will be a few sighs of relief that it is Friday.

Yesterday started very early, here is the view I have at breakfast,

a few chores and a bit of computer work for Paul.  This was followed by a smoothie,

nicer than the previous smoothie, a quick cuppa with the folks and beach for an hour or two.  We knew that Christiana and one of her friends Natallie were coming over for the afternoon and evening.  We spent a lovely afternoon with them and then I cooked some amazing pork chops with jackets, mushrooms, onions and of course, the big Greek salad (we eat salad with everything except breakfast).  Unfortunately Paul wasnt too well during the late afternoon and evening and had to go to bed at just gone 8.  He still isnt well today and his dreaded rash has appeared (hives).  So today is a day in the air conditioning to keep cool, lots of water and some rest.

Not long now until its Stampin' Up! Party time, christmas card making day and crafty week.  I am so looking forward to all three events and hopefully, lots of new Stampin' Up! goodies to share with you.
