Wednesday

Happy Birthday Charleigh

Middle of the week already.

Yesterday I had the day off work to talk to Christiana.  She has had a pretty rough experience at the dentist, not that they did anything wrong but it has been very traumatic for her.  She is off there again today as they are taking very good care of her.  Its just that I was very worried and concerned and needed to keep talking to her to make sure she is okay.  I felt a lot better as we  talked all day long.

It was the first night of crafty week and I think everyone enjoyed it.  It is so lovely being with all like minded ladies and I do get to laugh, thank you so much my Tuesday Treasures.

It is Charleighs birthday today, She is one and here is the card I made for her.
Okay so it has a matching envelope and a matching tag, just so cute, even if I say so myself.

Paul is still here whoop whoop.  He has to be ready to go off at any time so I have to finish all his ironing off this afternoon, the job I hate most.  Then after that I get to set up the craft room again for another night of crafting tomorrow night, which I love.

As it's Wednesday and as I have remembered, Stampin' Up! have some new weekly deals.

If you would like anything, please do let me know as I shall be putting in an order on Friday.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day.

Monday

Card Kit

Good morning from a still very soggy Derby.  The weather is for a cooler day today, around 18 degrees and very cloudy here but no rain.  The rain returns tomorrow for a few days with some sunshine at the weekend, now that sounds okay.

All this rain is helping the laural trees along and means I dont have to keep watering but a lot of my plants are already past their best.  A bit more planning needed for next year.

I recently purchased a couple of card making kits.  When I want to make a card and cant think straight, it is often nice to go along to a class, have everything ready and sit and follow instructions.  Well a kit is like that for me.  I loved making this card.
Everything was cut out ready and I just followed the photo.  It is a 6 x 6 and will do perfectly for some birthdays I have coming up later this year.

We only managed to get half a fence panel painted yesterday so still got a few more to do later this evening and everything is almost ready for laying the concrete at the side of the house.  The next stage is get some new security up around Pauls man cave so that we can take the big gates down so its painting gates for the rest of the week, inside Pauls place though.  We are going to have a white gate which I think will look quite nice, I will let you know how we get on.

Fancy a card making class Thursday or Friday?  Do get in touch if you do.

I had best get a bit of a wiggle on and get myself ready for work.  It will be bliss driving in today, no schools mean no traffic......have a great day and thanks for having a read x

Sunday

Royal Albert

Good morning from a soggy Derby.  The rain has arrived and it certainly has stopped play.

Yesterday I painted 9 fence panels which left me three more to do this morning but now that its raining, I have had to stop after only doing half a panel.  Oh well, they arent going anywhere and I can continue throughout the week.

We also managed to fill a skip yesterday, this is all the rubble left from the work we are having done on the side of the house.  Paul is having the concrete drive extended a little, we have put up new gates (the old ones are still there for security at the moment) and we have to put up some new fence on the border between our land and next doors.  We have a 2ft plant border that is around 18ft long so once the new fence has gone in, I can start putting my climbing plants there that we brought with us from the old house.  All exciting stuff.

I have also purchased another Clematis, this time is was a present for Paul, for our Anniversary.  It says it is a white flowered plant and we havent had one of those before.  Here is the card that I made for Paul

And here is the sweetest cup that you can imagine.  Paul got this special china cup for me as my Wedding Anniversary present and its Royal Albert China

Posh tea for me.

I guess that this afternoon and evening will be spent in the crafty space now that the weather is poor.  I do need to get everything finalised for crafty week, well that's my excuse.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you manage to stay dry.

Saturday

Happy Anniversary

Goodness, we did have some rain yesterday.  All the plants are watered, the lovely cut lawn has had a good watering and today we are supposed to have lovely weather.  Keep your fingers crossed as today I am wearing my working outside gear, painting fences.  It is a job that has to be done so I am doing it, wish me luck.

It was mum and dads wedding anniversary this week and here is the card that I made for them.

I hope to be making a few more of this type of card in two weeks time so if you fancy coming along to make some, grab your bits and come and join me.

Paul is home for a few days which is a good job as we have a skip arriving this morning.  Things are progressing well.

More good news, I found a young gardener to help me over the next few months.  We shall give him a try to see how he is and what his work is like and by the time next spring comes around, we should be ready to take up all the crazy paving on the front and lay a lawn, how exciting is that.  Well for me it is because once we are at that stage, it means that the inside of the house should just about be finished.

It is crafty week next week, Tuesday is full but I have a couple of places free on Thursday and on Friday.  Do get in touch if you fancy coming along, it really is a lovely evening.

Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day.

Friday

In the frame

Hopefully, as I type this, hubby is driving up the M5 on his way home, well he said he would be.  Today is our 4th Wedding Anniversary and just where did that go? 4 years since our special day, it was smashing.

Speaking of smashing, yesterday was a lovely day, I was on a training course for work and this was my view for the day....smashing.

Once I got home it was down to business with a wonderful group of ladies to make 'The Frame' and here are some photos of the evening.

We had a great time *waving to everyone* and today I shall go and clean up the havoc we left behind.

This weeks Weekly Deals are here and, should you want anything please do let me know by Sunday afternoon.

I do have a few parcels of stampin up goodies here at home, all ready to go.  Hopefully I can get them into the right hands over the weekend (or at crafty week next week), so if there is something here that is yours, do get in touch.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful day x

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

Good morning from a rather damp Derby.  We have had all kinds of weather the last few days and today is supposed to be cloudy but warm.  Have we had our Summer?  I hope not.

What a wonderful and busy week I have had despite the weather.  I have been to a craft show, finished my second mini album, made cards from kits and all sorts.  With Paul being away it is very hard to keep on top of it all so at the moment, I am looking out for someone to help with the garden, if you know of anyone, please pass on the details.  I have seen a few people but what I wanted and what they wanted to do didnt really go hand in hand. I have also been to the charity shop to drop things off, the tip twice as well as advertise lots of things for sale over the internet, phew, its no wonder that I am shattered each evening is it.

We had a wonderful scrapbooking day last Saturday and the next one is on 8th August if you fancied coming along.  Do let me know though as places are very limited.

It is crafty week next week WHOOP WHOOP.  Lots of things have changed around and I have put on another evening.  I have one or two places available each evening so if you fancy a night with like minded folk to make a couple of cards, lots of crafty chatter and laughter do let me know.  The cost is £7 per person and you just need to bring your sticky stuff and enthusiasm with you.

Yesterday was Paula's birthday and here is the card that I made for her using Summer Silhouttes

It was lovely to see her yesterday and I hope she had a smashing birthday.

I also went out and about delivering SU goodies that had arrived, it was nice to get out of the house for a couple of hours and catch up with some lovely friends, I do feel so lucky having so many smashing friends.

Tomorrow I have another picture frame evening and if you would like to make a picture in a frame, do let me know as there are a couple of spaces available.  Here is one that we made a couple of months ago.

If you already have your own frame, you can bring it with you to use.

Right, I had best get a wiggle on and get into work.  Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day.

Wednesday

Catching Up

Good morning and really, it is a good morning.  Apologies for the absence of blog posts but I am sure that we will all catch up with each other very soon.

As usual, life is rather hectic but we wouldnt want it any other way.  Paul is still working away, Sophia and Katerina are both still working hard and playing hard by the sounds of it in Cyprus and Christiana is enjoying each day as it comes...phew, so alls well there.

I have been busy with house changes, more sorting and lots of crafty activities too.  Last Friday we had the Christmas card and chatter night and it was smashing.  Really enjoyed the evening and a big thank you goes out to all those that came along and then, from there, its just been very busy.

Here are some photos from last Friday

I decided to make Christmas tags as I never have enough.  Here is my tag box (It is a wonderful box that I received when I went to the last convention).

I had lots of rub ons and with crumb cake card from Stampin' Up! , a crumb cake pen and crumb cake ink to colour the edges, I had a great time.  I stuck some very vanilla circles on to the tops of the tags and punched out holes with the crop o dile. Its a good start to the festive season.

I have started an exercise programme 3 times a day and it is taking some getting into but hay, how else will I fit into my bikini on my holidays *giggling* okay well the truth is I would like to loose a few more pounds before I go away so exercise it is.

Tonight we are having a bit of a crafty session at mine.  If you want to bring some bits over to play, then please do.  I am also going to help with the envelope board so if you have one of those and would like to use it to its best potential, bring your papers/card along as well as your envelope board and we can have an hour or so on that too.

I shall be continuing with my mini albums this weekend as well.  I managed to get a few little bits and pieces to start filling them up, so excited.  If you would like to come round and do some project life, scrapbooking or anything else, let me know and you are most welcome to join me.

WEEKLY DEALS

I shall be placing an order this Sunday so if there is anything that you would like please, do get in touch.  Here is a link in case you would like a bit more information about the products.

I think I am going to have to get the boys will by boys stamp.  I have been humming and harring about it for over a year so I will give it a go and see what I can come up with.

Well, I had best get a wiggle on otherwise, I will be late for work.  It isnt so much as being late for work but getting stuck in the traffic on the way to work.

Thanks for having a read, have a wonderful day and, if you fancy crafting tonight, come on over x

Tuesday

this little piggy went to market, this little piggy .......

Tuesday at Tracey's today so if you fancy a cuppa, I am free after 3pm or after 6.30pm this evening.  I do need to eat around 5ish.   Quite a few orders to collect and kettle will be on.  Also got lots of lovely bits for you to look at too (yikes I must give everywhere a quick dust and polish in there).

Here are some little piggys that we made at last months crafty week

Not perfect but so much fun to make.

Yesterday we started work on the other side of the house, phew.  The plan is to remove the large gates which dont fit too well and are very noisy, to put in smaller gates in a different location, get a border for some plants, add more concrete to complete the drive up to Paul's garage and to make the area look smart.  Unfortunately, we have to replace some fence panels between us and our neighbours which we didnt plan on.  The new gate posts, which are oak and bigger than sleepers, have been put in today.  Fingers crossed that by tomorrow, we shall have the area for the borders all cleared and everything ready to put fence panels in on Wednesday.

Do you need any edging kerbs? rockery rocks or paving? if you do please do come round and help yourselves at any time today.

All this has to go within the next couple of days.

All the girls in Cyprus are fine and starting their shopping lists for mum to take over......I dont think I will have too much room as Katerina left a lot of things here and I am sure that she will order other items to be delivered here for me to take with me, tut tut.

Right, I had best get a wiggle on for work.  I dont want to be late today as I want to leave a little earlier, dentist today.  Can you believe that it has been 6 months since I had all my dental treatment, wow.  Thanks for having a read, really look forward to seeing those that can make it later today.  Have a wonderful day.

Sunday

Tin of Cards

What a lovely day I had yesterday.  It all started around 9am when the UPS man arrived with 4, yes 4 boxes of crafting lovliness.  I quickly sorted out the orders, wrote some cards, got organised and then at around half 10, started to make a mini album, from scratch, with P.Ann.  It took us all day to make the cover and spine but my, what a good, sturdy, thick spine it is lol.  We shall make the pages next time.

Coffee all day long with all the wonderful visitors collecting SU goodies.  It really is nice to sit and catch up and the weather, well it turned lovely again for the afternoon and evening.

Oh my, lots of requests for crafty week but the classes are already full on  Tuesday and Friday.  So I am putting an extra class on, just for this month to see how we go on the Thursday night.  I have a few places available so if you would like to come along, make a couple of cards and tags, a little something else if we have time, please do let me know.  That is Thursday 30th July, the cost is £7 and the only things you need to bring with you are enthusiasm and sticky stuff. Give me a call on 01332 721877 to book your place.

Today is the last chance to order your tin of cards for the 'tin of cards get together'  on Wednesday 15th July.
The cost is £26.50 which includes the tin, a kit of 16 cards plus all the accessories to make the cards.  Use of the matching stamp set and tab die.  A wonderful birthday or Christmas present if you wanted to give it away but, once you have made the cards, could you give it away?  I really do need to place the order this evening for the kit, to make sure we get it in time for the get together, fingers crossed.
Here is a little video for you.

There is a  Summer Fayre at the Roundhouse in Derby today so I am going to go and pay that a visit, with my camera before coming home to a few chores and to get myself ready for work again tomorrow.  Sometimes I really could do with a day inbetween Saturday and Sunday.

Here are the other Thank You cards I made for this month

Both these and the  pink ones from yesterday all use the Perpetual Calendar stamps for the splodges, Petite Pairs for the little sentiment and Butterfly Basics for the butterfly.  Of course there is that wonderful little butterfly punch and two circle punches. Dont forget those wonderful sparkly rhinestones just finish off the cards, I loved making these.

My next order will be going in tonight.  If there is anything that you would like from Stampin' Up!, please do get in touch.

Thanks for having a read, I hope you have a wonderful day, Tracey x
