Wednesday

Deck the Halls card

Goodmorning and what a wonderful Bank Holiday we have just had.  The weather was wonderful (yes I like hot) and the rain last night was even better.  Oh it poured it down here and it was so noisy but it did mean that it was slightly cooler.

Up with the larks this morning and ready to start my day.  Here is a sneak peak of ribbon, card and stamps all available in the new Autumn/Winter catalogue.

This is a design from Elvie and I got chance to make it at our get together recently, which was a lovely day.  A few of the SU team family got together and we did a shoe box swap where everyone took a small project for each other make.  Love the colours of this very bright and shiny card.

If you decide to join our team you can join us at our next get together.  There are ONLY 3 days left to get £155 worth of SU goodies for the price of £99 and get them delivered free, to your door.  On top of that, you also get a voucher of £8 to spend next month as well.  If you would like to find out more please do get in touch.
Did you spend £45 last month and have vouchers to spend.  Dont forget to redeem them before the end of August.

Thanks for having a read today and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.  Tracey x

Very Versailes

Good morning and mr weatherman says it will be a hot one today so I wont be doing too much.

Paul has been bitten again.  His arm is already swelling up and he is covered in bite cream, sprays and roll ons, bless him.  He was painting the big gates last night and there were flying ants everywhere as well as other nasties.  I have heard of so many people being bitten this week you would think we were abroad.

We had a crafty get together last night and a big thank you goes to Jean, Jane, Sheila and Trisha, we laughed so much.  I was a lovely evening, a great tonic and some lovely things made.

Anyone fancy a meet up somewhere for a cuppa this next week? Tuesday or Friday?  Do you know somewhere nice and local where we could have a natter?  If you do please get in touch.

Here is one of the cards that we made last weekend at our team get together, which was wonderful. This card was designed by Debbie.  We used Basic Gray ink stamped off to create the background and Pear Pizzaz ink for the branches falling onto the page.  Of course this all co-ordinated with the Pear Pizzaz card base and the gray ribbon.

Just one week left to grab yourself a bit of a bargin with the special offer from Stampin' Up!  If you have a rather large wish list, this could be ideal for you.  Want more information, then please do get in touch.  My contact details are just on the right.

Wishing you a lovely Bank Holiday weekend and thank you for coming to have a read.  Tracey x

Fantastic Friday

Good morning and the weekend is nearly here.  Paul has already started his weekend, he finished yesterday and as it is Bank Holiday on Monday, he is not returning to work until next Thursday, lucky for some.

To start the bank holiday, why not come along to a craft night this evening.
There is fresh home made lemon drizzle as well as a chocolate cake.  Please get in touch if you would like to join in.

Another play of the the Sailing Home Suite of cards making items and I made this.

Not sure of the sentiment as yet, it will go in my box for a special birthday and I will add a sentiment at the time.  We are also playing with this set of stamps, papers and embelishments tonight, it is really addictive but maybe I should move on to other things.

I am still having a clearout of the craft room and if you fancy have a rummage there are lots of bits and pieces for sale as well as the stamp sets, please do call in.  I will also have extra tables out over the next few days with even MORE crafting goodies on them.

Thank you for having a read and I do hope you have a fantastic Friday.  Tracey x

You Make My Day

Good morning and another bag of mixed weather for us today in Derby which again, is fine by me.  The girls called from Cyprus yesterday and they had rain.  I am sure it was just a shower but they were so happy.

I dad my day in The Craft Room yesterday but I didnt get too much done, oppps.  I did however have another play with the Sailing Home Memories and More pack.  This is certainly keeping me busy which is always a good thing.

These are a couple of Thank You cards that I made with a couple of the cards out of the pack

Still a couple of places left this Friday night if you would like to join us.
It really is a good fun night and a brilliant way to start the Bank Holiday weekend.  Please get in touch if you would like to come along.

Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful day.  Tracey x

Tuesday

More Sailing Away

Good morning, mr weatherman says sunny and cloudy today but no rain which is good.

I am having a day in the craft room today, if anyone would like to call in, please do.  Lots to browse through on the sales table, lots to look at in the new catalogue and I am always happy to pop the kettle on.

We spent a lovely day on Saturday with my Stampin' Up! family and here is just one of the lovely cards we made, again using the very versatile set called Sailing Home.

We all took a box of crafting items and in each box was a card kit for everyone and we spent the day making each one.  This was Sallyanns, isnt it smashing?  This set really is a popular one and we shall be using it this Friday night.  If you would like to come along to our get together please let me know.

Paul and I are still trying to work out the editing features of a video and I think we are just about there so today could be the day that I make a video ready for you to have a view.  It is only a small simple one to start with but small steps is best.

Thank you for having a read today and dont forget, if you get half an hour free, pop in to see me in The Craft Room.  If you are unsure where it is, I will happily give out directions.  Have a lovely day.  Tracey x

Monday

Amazing Aloe Vera and Sailing Away

Good morning and what a weekend weatherwise we have had sunshine, some rain, some hail and some wind.....lots of seasons all at once.  Mr. weatherman says sunshine for this morning, rain in the afternoon and a cooler day from 3pm onwards, so we shall see.

I hope you have had a good weekend despite the weather, we did.  I was out for the day on Saturday with some friends from the Stampin' Up! team that I am in.  We had chance to catch up with all the latest news, meet some new team members, eat a smashing lunch which we all put together and then some amazing crafting.  I shall share the projects with you during the week.  If you would like to join our team it would be lovely to have you be a part of it.  For the rest of this month you can join Stampin' Up! and grab a bargain as there is an offer of having £155 worth of products for £99, plus FREE shipping to your door as well as receiving a voucher for £8 to spend next month too.  If your wishlist is very long, it may be worth while you giving this a second thought.  Please contact me to find out more.

Would you like to come along to a card making class this Friday night?  There are a couple of spaces available for this get together where we shall make a masculine card using the Sail Away bundle and a pretty ladies card.  Please do let me know if you would like to join us.

Here is one of the cards that I have made using the Memories and More pack as well as the dies from the Sail Away bundle.  I teamed it up with Night of Navy and the only stamping was the tag.  Now I am not sure if the tag is the correct way up or is it upside down?  I will use it again the other way up to see.
Baking recently I caught my hand on the shelf in the oen and burnt my finger.  It was painful as those that have done it will know.  But my friend had given me an Aloe Vera plant some time ago which has grown and grown and has had lots of babies. Paul read that if you cut one a leaf and put the syrup that comes out of it onto your burn, it will ease the pain.  It did and whilst I repeated this once more before I went to bed, no pain at all.
If anyone would like one of the little babbies this plant has given us please mention it to me next to you are here and I will happily pass one on.  This amazing little thing really did work.

I have quite a lot of pottering today but hope to get into the craft room this evening.  Thank you for having a read today and please, do contact me if you would like to come crafting this Friday or find out more about joining the team.  Tracey x

Stampin' Up! Sail Away

Good morning and it is nearly the weekend.  The weather in Derby is going to be awful today, we have a yellow weather warning for all the rain we are due to get.  Only one place to be in bad weather, the craft room.

I opened up the Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack and wow.  It is wonderful and I couldnt wait to play, if you click on the image, you will get a little more detail.
You get so many items in this pack and I wonder how long it will be before it is all used up.  I also got out some of the Come Sail Away designer series papers
These papers are all fantastic for mens cards and I am sure I will have to grab another pack in the very near future.  Team these up with the stamp set and I had a 10 minute play.

To make this card take an A4 sheet of Night of Navy card and cut it in half length ways
Score on the short side and you have your base card.
Add a piece of Whisper White card (leaving a short border of the Navy) on top of the base card.
Then stick a piece of the Come Sail Away designer series paper to it, (again leaving a small border), there are so many papers to choose from it is hard to decide which one to use but they will all co-ordinate.

Using the Stitched Shaped Dies I cut out a square of Whisper White card.
I inked up the anchor with Night of Navy ink and stamped it in the middle of the stiched square.

I always use the Stampin Pierce Mat to lean on to do my stamping as I find I get a lovely crisp image every single time and for the price, it is well worth it.  If you are still unsure about stamping, I would recommend the Stamperatus but more about that in another post.
I cut another square out of Night of Navy card, the same size as the stamped piece,  and put it at a jaunty angle behind the stamped image.
These were then all stuck together and to finish it off, I picked out a sentiment from the Memories and More pack.

If you would like to come and see all these wonderful items, please get in touch and pop round.  The kettle is always on.  If you would like to order the whole suite (there is lots of it) why not give me a call and I can tell you how or just click on the right hand side and get yourself into the store.  Or better still, join me and Stampin' Up! and get yourself £155 worth of goodies for £99 and get it all delivered to your door for free.  You will also get another £8 voucher to spend next month.  It is a great offer and only available until the end of the month.

We shall be using the stamp set, the dies and the co-ordinating papers to make one of our cards in this months class and there are still a couple of spaces available.

Do let me know if you would like to come along, it really is a lovely evening with lots of laughter.

Thank you for having a read today.  I do hope you have a great day, whatever you are up to and that you stay dry.  Tracey x

Midweek Musing

Good morning and the rain is back, yeah.  Mr. weatherman says it will rain for the next two hours so I shall stay in and carry on the doing the chores.  I dont mind the rain as it waters the garden.

Would you like to spend an evening here in the Craft Room making a couple of cards.

Please do get in touch if you would like to come along.

Here is a card that I have finally finished.
It was made quite some time ago but it didnt have an insert.  It is now finished off and in my 'for sale' box.  They are quite strong colours but a lovely combination.

We have been doing even more bits and pieces around the house but since Paul started using the new lawn treatment, it has taken yet another turn and become very lush.

So much so, the ants have made their home in it.  A bit of powder has been put down to try and get rid of them.  He has put the treatment on the front lawn as well and it is making a massive improvement.  It is very green and getting thicker all the time. Fingers crossed that we can get this looking good too.

Do you fancy joining the Stampin' Up! family.  There are only two weeks left to get your starter kit (which you choose yourself) delivered FREE to your door.  It will cost you £99 but for that you get FREE delivery, FREE catalogues to hand out to friends, neighbours and family.  Then you have £155, yes that is right £155 to spend on products including the new Autumn/Winter pre order.  If you would like to find out more get in touch and I can explain in more detail.

I cant tell you how many items I have for sale on the Dresser.  If you would like to call in for a browse, please do.  I shall be placing a little order at the end of next week.  If you would like to add anything to this order, do let me know.

Thank you for having a read today.  Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday, despite the weather.  Tracey x
