Sunday

All Dressed Up and more on a Sunday

Good morning.  Up at silly o clock this morning.  No reason for it so just having a cuppa and will go with flow today.  Hope to get a nanny nap later or failing that, it will be a very early night tonight.

I am still updating the photo albums and sorting out 1000s of photos and this brings back so many happy memories, which is a good thing.  I am determined to have them all finished by the end of the year.

Of course we are still creating with the Dressed to Impress Stamp set and the All Dressed Up Dies.  This card was created by Sally and it not only uses the stamps and dies but also the Hand Penned Designer Series papers, which are beautiful.

The frame is from Scalloped Contour dies and if you havent seen these, they are worth a glance at.  All the products are detailed below and, as usual, I will be very happy to show you anything if you are local to Derby or if not, happy to do a chat over the internet.

If you are an 'Online Shopper' and need anything from Stampin' Up! you  can click on the image below and it will take you straight into the online shop where you can have a browse around.

Well I shall go and make a start on my day.  Thank you for having a read.  Have a smashing Sunday.  Tracey x

Saturday

Be Creative

Good morning. I created the above image this morning as I think being a crafter really is like being part of the mafia, no way out.  Its a great thing to do and can lead to lots of new friendships, experiences and you feel a sense of belonging, well I do.

Here is a card that I has been received so I can now share it.

I loved making this and must make a few more. It has been created with a stamp from my stash and coloured in using alcohol markers.  The main image has been matted on some Night of Navy card stock from Stampin' Up! I often wonder if my cards are received when I post them as I often dont get a 'got your card' message.  So next week I will share a couple of cards that I hope people received for their birthdays.

If you have been wondering about purchasing the starter kit and joining Stampin' Up! now really is a good time to do this.  You not only get £130 worth of products for £99 with free delivery but you can pick an additional 2 Stamp Sets of your choice and get them for free.  Please do get in touch if you would like to find out a little more about this as I will be very happy to give you some more details.

Well I had best get a wiggle on as I have another busy and very enjoyable day today.  Off to see mum and dad this morning, our usual Saturday visit which we always do if we are able, meeting with crafty friends this afternoon for some crafting.  In between I have a cake or two to bake and a few cards to pop in the for sale box.

Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a smashing Saturday.  Tracey x

Tuesday

Start of the week with All Dressed Up Bags

Good morning, I do hope you have had a good weekend.  We have, apart from my knee is playing up again.  The pain is awful and I am so restricted by doing things so today is the day that I need to mix things up a bit.

I have gained quite a lot of weight over the last year or two so today I am going to start to try to loose it.  I know it will take time but I am certainly prepared to let it take a while, as long as it stays off.

Here are some little bags that I have put together for our craft get togethers this month.

Everyone who comes along will have one bag each and they will be filled with biscuits or a chocolate bar.   These have been made by using the All Dressed Up Dies which co-ordinates with the Dressed to Impress stamp set which is one of the stamp sets we are using this month.   I must remember to use these for all the other occasions that we have, Christmas, Easter, Birthdays etc as they are so cute.

Well I had best go and start my day.  Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a great Monday.  Tracey x

Thursday

Dressed to Impress Parfum

Good morning and an early start today.  It is -1 outside at the moment and the forecast for us in Derby is just 4 degrees brrrr. That is a cold day.  Fingers crossed that we are out for the day today looking at flooring.  The hall currently has carpet in it and I would like a wooden floor.  I feel it is easier to clean and look after than carpet.

I am having my usual hour sorting out the photo albums first over a cup of tea, which I do most mornings and make sure my to do list is ready for today.  Not too much on it if we are out but I will be in the craft room later.  There are a few half finished projects to finish.

I have added a 'for sale' tab on to my blog, did you notice?  I shall be filling this up over the next few weeks with some Stampin' Up! stamp sets that are for sale, please do let me know if you would like to purchase any.  Some are unused but the majority have been used.

Here are a couple of cards that were created by Sallyann at our creative crew afternoon.

As mentioned before, the stamp set is Dressed to Impress and this time the purfume bottles have been used along with one of the 'splodge' stamps.  Stampin' Up! always come up trumps with their co-ordinating embellishments and this time is not different.  One of the mail reasons that I use Stampin' Up! is due to the co-ordination, the ink matches the card stock and the designer series papers, the blend pens match with all the embellishments and the ribbons well, just such a great choice.  If you havent seen Stampin' Up! cards/products in real life then please do pop in to The Craft Room, Derby and I will be happy to show you how they all blend and co-ordinate together.

Thank you for having a read today and if you need any crafting help at all, I am always happy to help.  Have a lovely Thursday, Tracey x

Wednesday

Dressed to Impress and hidden finds

Good morning.  We have had a lovely couple of days.  We are having a new front door fitted in about three weeks time so it is time for the hallway to be decorated.  This is the last room of the house to be done since we moved in.  I thought it was best to do all the other rooms first and then finish with the hallway.

So the door is due and we have to make a few moderations which includes removing a mirror which has been inset into the wall in the entrance of the hall.   Said mirror was taken down and behind it, is a window, oh my.

It has a black lead design and each join has been souldered.  What you can see are the plaster boards from the other side of the wall, which is in fact our bedroom.   We have since discovered another door frame into the kitchen and a serving hatch (which we did know about) has been uncovered.  So a lot more work to do than first anticipated.  My wonder is, what will we find when we lift up the carpets?

As you can imagine, the dust is everywhere.  A good cleaning job when its all done will be needed.  I am fighting a loosing battle trying to dust it each day but I do try.

I am also still sorting out the photo albums which is very interesting.  I have no idea when I will finish them but I am enjoying doing it and thats the best bit.

Of course, lots of crafting going on too.  Here is a card that was created on our afternoon of using one stamp set, Dressed to Impress.

This was made by Paula and she stamped the lipsticks, perfume bottle, shoes and flowers, coloured them in and then cut them out.  The frame is from Colour and Contour dies, which has a few different sized frames, one that I often forget about.  These were then mounted on some of the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers.  Details of these can be found below.  We are using this stamp set in our get togethers this month.

Well I had best get showered and ready for my day ahead.  Nothing planned for today so I will just amble throught it and do what ever needs doing.  Thank you so much for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.  Tracey x
