Sunday

Sunday - not the day of rest today

THE Wedding was amazing. We all had a wonderful time, the bride, groom and all the bridesmaids looked stunning and the weather was just perfect. I overindulged on the food (not the drink) and was absolutely shattered at the end of the evening but WOW. I shall put some pictures on the blog to share with you later in the week.

Yesterday I spent the day rather tired but, we did have the Christmas card club and it was nice to sit, chill and do some colouring in. I only made 2 cards in the morning but I finished off the other 4 that I had started in the afternoon. I spoke to all my girls which is always wonderful so I know what's happening in Cyprus. Christiana has asked me about a little bag I made a while ago so, the next couple of pictures are for Christiana.

These little bags are about 5" high and about 3" wide. Let me know if this is what you are looking for hon. The tag has been made with 2 punches....click on the photos and they will become bigger and you can see them better. Talk to you tomorrow xx

Now on to some card that I made with the pick a petal stamp....again

We all had a go at making these recently and they caused a few laughs, didnt they girls?

Today I am off to the NEC. I have no shopping list, not as organised as Jayne. I dont need anything and am just going to have a wander round to see what there is.

Thank you for having a read and please, do leave a comment so that I know you have been.

Have a wonderful day

Thursday

Something a little different

We all know that feeling when we get new crafting items whether its from the UPS man, the postman, the SU demonstrators or even from the shops and we get home to open our bags. Well did you know that its not only us girlies that feel like this when we have something new.

The UPS man came today and I thought ohhh a parcel from Stampin Up but it wasnt for me, it was for Paul. He had ordered himself some telescopic ladders. He thought the girls in Cyprus would love to see it so, here are the photos

He is so impressed that these have come in their own little bag

I am not the best photographer in the world but I am sure that you get the idea.

Have a lovely evening and thanks for having a read

Wednesday

All sorts

It's the big day on Friday, Robert and Natalie's wedding. The dress, jewellery, shoes, bag and fasinator are all purchased and ready to wear. The spray tan has been tried and passed and all the preperations are ready (apart from the wedding card of course, that has to be last minute). So last night it was time to colour my hair, ready for the chopping of it on Thursday. I used the same brand of hair colour, because I am worth it, I used exactly the same colour but I fancied trying the pump action one rather than the one that always runs in my eyes.....MISTAKE. My hair is now a lovely shade of dark brown and a hint of ginger lol. Why am I not worried? because my hairdresser in shining amour is coming round tomorrow to put blond highlights in it....and lots of them. Tonight I went for spray tan again, just hope that when I wash off the excess tomorrow that the colour is the same as last time, all because I dont want to wear tights.....

Well another day done at work, just got to get all my putting away done tonight so I dont have to do it tomorrow night. I break up tomorrow afternoon and have an action packed weekend in store. I would normally say I will be glad to get back to work on Monday but on this occasion I wont, as I dont want to go back to work....another story.

Friday, as I mentioned is THE wedding, Saturday morning we have the Christmas Card Club at St. Martins Church and then on Sunday its the NEC.....who is a lucky girl and who will be shattered sunday night.

Some time ago Monica showed us how to make these lovely little files......

I was so impressed with them that at the last Derby Dabblers I demonstrated how to make them, here are some more samples.

Thanks for having a read and I hope your weekend is as hectic as mine. Have a lovely weekend, what ever you are up to and please, keep your fingers crossed for good weather for Friday.

Tuesday

Happy Birthday Robert

It's Robert's birthday today, so a big Happy Birthday to him. Here is the card that I made
As this is such a clean card, lots of white space and its for a man, I thought I would do
something totally different and put it on the new Less is More challange. If you dont know what this is, then just nip over and have a look, there are lots of talented people posting lots of ideas. This week's challenge has tons of inspiration for masculine cards.

I am back at work now and time is really limited to blog especially as we have Robert and Natallies wedding this Friday, I am really looking forward to the day.

If anyone fancies a couple of hours crafting on Saturday morning, there is the Christmas card club at St. Martins Church from 10.00a.m. If you just want to come along and have a cuppa and a natter you are most welcome.

Thanks for having a read

Updating the blog

I am making a few small changes to my blog over the next few days but nothing for your to worry about, it will be me that will worry. Last time I tried to change things I got in a right pickle. Todays change, if it works, is adding new pages. The first page is going to be about the events that I will be holding so if you are interested, just have a look across the top of my page and you should see a page for Events, just click on it and you should be taken to a page with details of the crafty nights. When you have had a nosy in there you will see the Home page that you can click on, and it will bring you right back to here, fingers crossed.

Another Pick a Petal card...... I hope you like the colours.

I haven't put a sentiment on this yet as I am adding it to my box until I need it for the right occassion, you cant imagine how many cards I have stored in my box.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day

Wednesday

Ummm...struggling to think of a heading this morning

My first day back at went without a hitch. Went to work, did my job and came home. Just 3 more days to go this week. I had a lovely visit from a really nice lady I met up with again last Sunday and then just chilled in front of the telly.

One of the reasons that I love Stampin Up is that everything matches, the colour of the cardstock, the ink and the buttons which is why you can make co-ordinating cards like these, again using the Pick a Petal set of stamps

Not to mention the chalks, pens, crayons and watercolour pencils which all match. Then there are the papers and....okay I will stop. Matching things up with SU (Stampin Up) products is so easy as all the people who already use it know but, did you know that being part of a team and running your own SU business is just as easy. Really it is, if you want to do parties and demonstrate the products to others, you can. If you just want to buy the starter kit (which is a bargain at £119) you can. Even if you sell the products to your close friends and dont demonstrate at all, starting with SU is brilliant because you should be able to get your goodies at discounted prices and there are lots of other benefits too. If this is something that you have been thinking about then get in touch with me and I can give you more details and explain how things work. You havent got anything to lose by just having a chat so go on, call me on 01332 721877. If you dont live in the Derby area then that isnt a problem either. I wonder how many of you will actually pick the phone up.

Have a wonderful day

Tuesday

Back to work today

The blog police have been on to me.......ooopps. Just a warning this time phew, sorry Rachel.

Today I return to work for 5 hours a day for a week. This is a phased return due to the amount of time I have been at home, six weeks, where did it go? I have pottered and pottered at home but also had lots of rest. My knee is improving but not right just yet, the condition has been labelled as ITB cross over muscle imbalance so I am doing lots of physiotherapy which is rather painful but whats the saying....no gain without pain.

I have had lots and lots and lots of visitors which has been fantastic, especially last week, thank you ladies.

I have quite a lot of cards to show you that I haven't shared before all using Pick a Petal stamp set. This is so versatile and can be used in lots of different ways. A big thanks go out to all the ladies that designed these. For the youngsters I thought this was so cute, I know its not everyones cup of tea

something a little different for the insert
I will try to catch up with all the latest blog posts over the next few days and answer my emails.

Thanks for having a read today and I hope you have a lovely day.

Friday

Its that Friday feeling again

Yep, its Friday already, the weekend soon arrived this week. My knee is getting better all the time now, I am doing physio excercises about 10 times a day. I have been diagnosed with joggers knee, very complicated but the good news is that in 8- 12 months it should all be sorted out.

Last week was a birthday girl week, Alyson, Anne and Pam all had birthdays. Unfortunately I didnt take a picture of Pam's nor Anne's card but here is Alyson's (Annes was the same).

I saw this card HERE and I had to write to Abi straight away to see if she would mind me copying it. I was just wowed by all the work that had been put into it. Thank you for letting me use your idea.
Alyson has been very busy making cards and they are all lovely. She has very kindly sent me some photographs so that I can share them with you (and also because I am not making any myself at the moment). Here are just a few of them...

Stampin Up have a wonderful offer of 30% off selected items. I shall tell you more about that tomorrow.
Have a lovely day and thank you for having a read

Wednesday

Another couple of baby cards

Here are another couple of baby cards that I have received recently.

This is from Rebecca in which she has used the Baby Tees wheel. The colours of So Saffron and Certainly Celery make this card for either a boy or a girl.

And this is from Sandra, a Diaper card using the Bundle of Love Stamp set. I loved this card so much that I had to take it apart, as you do, to make a few of my own, thank you for sharing such a wonderful idea
