Crackers on a Tuesday

Good morning, up early today as I am having a day to myself and quite excited by it. My first task of the day is the TO DO list so that I have something to work to and can happily cross things off as I go. It does make my life so much easier.

Events in the Craft Room for the month of July have been finalised

The first evening is our Christmas Card and Chatter night. By making a few cards each month it take the pressure off towards the end of the year.

The photos didnt appear on my blog post yesterday, I just dont know where they went to so I will try again now.

This was a snap of the charity event festival we went to with some friends of ours performing, The Junk Yard Angels.

We loved being outside sat listening.

And these were photos of the county show, a great day was had, again more time spent outside in the fresh air.

Whilst the sky was very very cloudy, it didnt rain at all. In fact we couldnt have asked for better weather.

I had a play with the new Cracker Die from Stampin' Up! This is a must for all occasions, not just for Christmas.

A wonderful weekend

Good afternoon. What a wonderful weekend.

We had The Derby Dabblers Craft Club on Friday night.

Card making, knitting, crocheting, colouring, putting kits together, chatting, die cutting and a great game of bingo. It was lovely to see so many folk all putting the world to rights. We shall be meeting again on the last Friday of July and you will be more than welcome to join us.

Saturday was a quiet day but we ended up at the Shakspeare Pub in Shardlow, Derbyshire for the Shakey Fest. It was a whole 3 days of music, music and more music raising funds for the Ukraine Refugees. We had a wonderful couple of hours.

Sunday we went to the Derbyshire County Show, first time I have been and wow, loved it. We saw so much, it was lovely being out in the fresh air.

Got up this morning to finalise everything for a great get together with some lovely crafty friends making cards. Here are the little crackers that were waiting for them.

So its a bit of a clean up in the craft room and to finish off a couple of bits, if I can.

Here is a card that was made by Paula using some gilding flakes and the Happiness Abounds stamp set.

It is a lovely card and has certainly given me lots of inspiration.

Abigail Rose Collection, Craft Clubs, Crafty Bargains and a Craft Class

Good morning, Friday, the best day of the week for me and today is even better, I am starting the week by going along to the Derby Dabblers Craft Club

If you fancy meeting me there (as well as a few other ladies) please do pop in to say hello. Dont forget to bring your cup/mug with you for a cuppa and there are a few cakes too.

So yesterday we had an adventure. We went up roads we had never been before, through villages we had never heard of and even went sorting through a salvage shop at some railway sidings. I still cant believe that we didnt go further than 15 miles from our home and discovered so much. It was a lovely day, had coffee out, followed by lunch and it ended with a visit to my folks. I am determined to have at least one of these days every week from now on, it does the soul good.

We managed to get three plants for the garden and hopefully a little more colour for the month of June and July. We have a Hibiscus, Scabiosa and Achillea.

So today I am finishing off the cards for crafty classes. Unfortunately I am having to cancel the class on Saturday as there are just not enough takers for it on this ocassion. The weather is due to be wonderful so I totally understand.

There is a class on Monday and should you wish to come along please, do let me know. We do have a lovely time, make a couple of cards (and a tag this time) as laugh quite a bit.

All the products are listed below. This one is a one layer card with some blending, stamping, colouring and a little gold gilding flakes added to the berries, (they are berries on this card). There is a whole collection of co-ordinating products to go with this and I hope to share some more makes with you. I do hope you like it.
