Tuesday

Tuesday at Tracey's Today

Yesterday I managed to start yet another sort out of the craft room, it seems that I am just outgrowing the space that I have which is such a shame.  And of course, I do like sorting and organising which means that there are quite a few retired stamp sets for sale.  It did take me a lot longer than I thought as I saw the Serene Silhoutte Stamp set, just sat there and thought ooohhh, why dont I have a little play, so I did.  I shall finish the cards today and show you what I did later in the week.

I have the morning at work today and then I thought how nice it would be to spend the afternoon with friends so, if you fancy a cuppa and a biscuit, please feel free to call in later today for a while.  We can catch up on all your latest news.

Here is another card from last weeks crafting get together using  the Postage Due stamp set

Card - Sahara Sand  and Real Red
Stamp Set - Postage Due £15.95 for a set of 4 stamps., Itty Bitty Banners £10.95 for a set of 6 stamps

Sunday

Stormy Skies Sunday

Feeling a lot better today.  I cant believe it has taken me nearly 2 weeks to recover from a nasty bug or 2 or 3.  The sky this morning was very dark and very red, do you know the weather poem?  Red sky at night shephards delight, red sky in a morning shephards warning.  Goodness knows what today will bring.

Yesterday we went for a walk around the Crem and the wind, rain, hail certainly blew the cobwebs away.  Then it was a day of resting, chilling and doing a few bits and pieces.

Paul is off later this afternoon  which means that I will get lots and lots of crafting time in the next week or two or three, as if I dont get enough already.  I have a few plans of what to do with my afternoons and there will be a few trips out I hope.

Does anyone else who has a hotmail account struggle with the new layout?  It is a bit of a nightmare for me.  I have tried to print out a few times and I get tons and tons of papers with little bits printed out, even when I have done print preview.  I am also missing emails??? Emails arrive but then they are marked as read, even though I dont read them so I miss new emails.  I wonder if it is an age thing, opps.

I received this wonderful card earlier this week, it is so simple and so elegant, thank you ladies.

Time to get the washing machine on.  I hope you have a wonderful day what ever you are up to.

Saturday

Flowering Saturday

Yeah it is the weekend and phew, do I need it.

I have had a lovely couple of days crafting with lots of lovely people.  I do hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Here is a card I made for a friend who has a birthday today, not a great photograph though but I am sure you get the gist of it.

My camelia has flowered and, the flowers havent all fallen off.  I read up about this plant and it seems that if you dont give it enough water, the buds drop off before flowering so I must have done something right this year.

Although my orchid doesnt have any flowers at all, the first time in 18 months.  I think the house may have been too hot during Christianas visit.

Thanks for having a read and if any Stamperettes are visiting, can you get in touch please as today is 27th of the month.

Have a great day

Tuesday

Sunny Card for a Sunny Day

Yesterday I managed to get a few chores done, some ironing and a couple of cards, I was really pleased with myself.

Mind you, today I have to try and get a little more ironing done as the man about the house will be leaving in a couple of days and who knows what clothes he will want to take with him.  At least if everything is washed, dried and ironed, he has a choice.  With Paul being away it means I get more time to play

Well the next SS trip is being organised.  That is our crafting weekend away, all the kits are prepared for us, we dont have to think about food as its all ready all we have to do is to decide on what to purchase.  There are two weekends being organised at the moment and if you fancy going along for a weekend of non stop crafting in November, please let me know and I will put you in touch with the organiser of this event.

I have been having a play with the Secret Garden stamp set for a few days and I am loving it.  Lots of ways to use it and here is something that I did yesterday, obviously, those that know me know how much I love my sewing he he he

We are going to be using this set later this week during crafty week.  If you fancy having a play, just let me know as I have a couple of spaces available on Thursday afternoon and Friday night.

Thanks for having a read today and I hope you have a lovely day

Monday

Monday again

Here we are again on a Monday lunchtime.  The sun has been out this morning and what a lovely change it was to drive to work in the warmth of the sun.  It really does make it a great start to the week.

I am feeling such a lot better today, I think it was the sunshine on Saturday.  I spent most of the day outside, washing the slabs, the tables and chairs, weeding, sweeping and making it all look tidy at the back.  Hopefully this evening I can make a start down the side of the house, set up my little red table and chairs, a bit of sweeping and cleaning of the cobbles.  Spring really has arrived at my house.

Fancy an afternoon making a couple of cards?  I have a space or two left for Thursday afternoon.  We start at 2.00pm and this is for beginners and experienced crafters.  I shall be baking so there will be home made cake too.  Just send me an email tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com or give me a ring on 01332 721877 and book your place.  We shall be using two Stampin' Up! stamp sets and some lovely papers, an embossing folder and ribbon too.

Here is a Clean And Simple card that I have made recently.  I didnt put a sentiment on it yet as I am not sure who it is for.

Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a lovely Monday.

Friday

Looking for that Friday Feeling

Friday but no Friday feeling today unfortunately, perhaps I will find it as the days goes on.  I was only up twice last night which is another great improvement.  I think I now sound and look worse than I actually am.  Another couple of days and I hope to be more or less back to normal.  Thank you to everyone who has sent me get well wishes.

Here is a card that I made some time ago, nice clean and very relaxing to sit and colour in.
I have heard that the sun is coming out today, fingers crossed that it does.  Thanks for having a read today and I hope you have a lovely day.

Thursday

Thursdays Tags

Why is it that when other people have a very bad cold/sore throat etc. they sound sultry and sexy and me, I sound like a mouse in a strangle hold?  hay ho.  Feeling quite a lot better today with regards to the infections but I am still coughing and spluttering.  Not so tired as got a few more hours sleep but still not up to doing housework and still dont mind house not being quite as tidy as it normally is so I guess I do need another few days to get 100%.

I thought I would share some new tags that I made.  I saw something similar to these on a blog during one of my long trips around blog land and thought it was a great idea. I just cant remember where I saw them.

You get to use up all the wee little bits of patterned paper that you just cant throw away.   You can use the stamps and punches that havent been out for a while and the ribbon well, what a way to make use of those little bits. I have lots and lots of little bits all ready and waiting to be used up in this way.  I just need the energy to make them, maybe next week.

Hold a party, be a hostess and get MORE FREE items

If you should decide to hold a Stampin Up party between now and 30 May,  or have an individual order that's over a  total of £250 you get an extra £25 worth of Hostess Spends.  OMG that is £65 worth of spends for you.  Why not get in touch as soon as you can and we can see when we can get your party booked in.

Sign up with SU and get yourself a bargain.  You can spend £155 on Stampin Up Products and pay just £99 for them and, you will get all the SU office supplies on top of that.  Call me on 01332 721877 to find out more.

I hope that you have managed to stay safe in this awful wind we are having at the moment.  Thanks for having a ready and have a lovely evening.

Wednesday

Midweek Musing

I managed to get a few more hours sleep last night so, fingers crossed, I should be feeling a little better for a little longer today.  Its amazing how this has really knocked me for six but, staying positive as you must.

Christiana had a wonderful time with us although she really was very poorly.  We managed to visit a lot of local places and even to see Katerina in Preston, thanks to Paul doing all the driving.  She hasnt seen Katerina for a while and they do miss each other soo much.  Now she can picture Katerinas apartment and the places that Katerina goes too when they talk on the phone, which they do more than once each day.  She is now back in Cyprus going backwards and forwards to doctors, hospitals, family and trying to get lots of things sorted, ready for her next trip to the UK.  Here is her card that she sent for Paul's Birthday, along with a close up.

There is lots of exciting news from Stampin' Up! and I just have to try and spend a good half hour on the computer, reading all about it, so that I can pass it on.  Perhaps I will feel well enough later today to sit here a little longer.

Thanks for having a read and thank you for all your wishes.

Tuesday

Tracey's Tuesday with Temperature

Still very poorly today as I have quite a raging temperature to go with everything else so, just a quick post.

It was Pauls birthday last week and here is birthday boy with Dude (Christiana's teddy who gets everywhere).  It was like Christmas for him as he got so spoilt, which he deserves.

This is the card I made for him with a bit of a close up.  Paul doesnt like fancy cards, he prefers single layered imaged cards so that is exactly what he got.

Thanks for having a read and hopefully I will feel a little better tomorrow.

Monday

poorly dot com

After a very hectic couple of weeks with Christiana, I have come down with a severe chest infection, middle ear infection and ulcers galore.  We dont know where Christiana caught it from but we do know she likes to share.

As soon as I am able to look at the computer for more than a couple of minutes (cant at the moment because of the blinding headaches and dizzyness), I will share lots of photos and cards that we have made.

Thanks for checking on the blog though x

Monday morning, again

Here we go again, another start to another week.  I just clicked onto the Derby weather forecast to see that it is going to be 22 degrees today HUH, I then realised that I had Derby USA in there opps so in reality, we may get to 7 degrees but wow, what a lovely weekend weatherwise we had.

The garden has has its first prune and tidy up, the windows got cleaned, Sunday lunch cooked and lots of other little jobs got done.  The brown bin (which we will soon not be having) got full and Paul had to actually get in it, to pack it all in.

I just hope that come bin day, everything comes out and it isnt all stuck in there.

Friday night was Derby Dabblers and what a lovely turn out.  We did the Derby Dabble Constitutuion, all in the hopes of getting funding.  If we are successful with the funding application, it will mean that anyone that comes to Derby Dabblers wont have to pay the room hire, which is great news.  I will keep you posted on how we get on.

Christiana is still not well, I am hoping to get in to see a doctor today.  Her cough is just getting worse and worse and we have tried all sorts.  Her tum and throat hurt so much and we are both just shattered, not having much sleep for the past 4 nights.  Fingers crossed that someone can see her later today.  Mum has had a bit of a scare too but thankfully, she is feeling a lot better and she too needs to see her doc soon.  All go in the Anthony household.

Speaking of 'go', this is going to be winging its way back to Cyprus

I painted it some time ago and knew what I wanted to put in it but I waiting for Christiana to let me know what she wanted.

We stamped out a lable on shrink plastic and wrote the words Sew Sweet Home and then shrunk it down, this was to be the wall hanging.  Then it was filling some tiny little jars with tiny little pearls and then creating a wish jar.  The wish jar has a wish on every knot that we put in.  The middle jar has a heart hat pin put through the cork.

Tags were next, I collected this one from Hobbycraft in Peterborough

and then Christiana chose the colour of the thread, which is SU bakers twine.

Putting lace into a small jar with a button on top.  Obviously buttons all over which havent been stuck down, just in case we see something else on our travels

I stuck this to the back and the tag has a personal message in it, from me to Christiana.  If you would like a look at this in real life, I have Tuesday at Tracey's tomorrow and it would be lovely to see you.

I always wondered why I kept my box of ribbons, lace and other bits and now I know as it has come in really useful.

Paul had to take the car out yesterday and asked Christiana if she wanted a ride out, she jumped at the chance and decided to take Dude with her

Here they are about to go on their travels
And this is Dude this morning.

Sorry about the amount of photos but thanks for having a visit and I hope your Monday is a pleasant one.

Saturday

Saturday's little bit of peace and quiet

I am just catching 5 minutes peace and quiet before everyone in the household wakes up. The peace is so welcoming, the phones are not going to ring and the birds are singing outside.  The forecast today is for some sunshine in Derby, fingers crossed that we get some.

The plans were for us to visit Katerina in Preston this evening, returning tomorrow but Christiana is so poorly that we cant go today.  She is full of cold and has an awful cough, keeping us all awake, for the second night, bless her.  I do hope that she feels a little better today.

Earlier in the week we did a little shopping in town and she has been told by her nana to get a Build a Bear so, off we went,

Please meet Dude (yes, that is what it says on his birth certificate)

Here he is upon arriving home,

Naked Dude

Dressed and ready to play

I imagine that you will be seeing a lot more of Dude, on his travels and I shall be starting a scrapbook for Christiana, of Dude and his life lol, we all need a little fun in our lives

Yesterday is was Neices sons 5th Birthday and here is the card that I made for him

And of course brother in laws card which I forgot to show you, similar to that one that I did earlier for son in law.

On Wednesday it is Paul's birthday so another card must be done over the weekend.

Quite a few changes with Stampin Up, the watercolour pencils and the crayons will be discontinued.  This is very sad as they are so useful and in fact I use mine most days on one project or another.  If you would like to order these, drop me a line to let me know.  I have had my sets a few years and they are lasting me very well so it really is a great investment.

And another change, oh yes SU are have a colour refresh.  Some colours are going and we shall be getting some new ones on 1st July.
