Goodbye 2015

The last day of 2015 wow, that year went quick and I expect that 2016 will go in exactly the same way.

I am really fortunate that the warm weather is still with us as it means that I can nip here there and everywhere with Christiana but we have seen that the temperatures fall next week, with a possibility of snow on Tuesday brrrr.

My health is still not the best, typical.  As well as man flu *actually it is a bit worse than that* I have a cough and today I have a very upset tum.  I expect that this is the joys of grandchildren but I will not let it get me down.

I wont bore you with my favourite cards and projects of 2015 instead we shall have a whole new year of cards and projects to look forward to.  No New Year Resolutions either, I just hope to find the correct work/home/life balance and trust that it evens itself out a little better in 2016 than it did in 2015.

I have remembered that I havent shared the albums I made for the girls.  The twins adored them on Christmas morning when they opened them up, they really did think that they had tins of biscuits, oops.  Trust mummy to put them in empty biscuit tins.  Here is one of the albums but I can tell you, the photographs do not do them justice.

A lot of ladies have asked me to run a class on these but to be honest, it is hours and hours of work.  I shall be happy to show anyone who would like to know how to make them but, be warned, it isnt something that you can complete in a day.

Before I go to continue finishing of my accounts for the tax man (yes I declare everything to the tax man and am squeeky clean), I would like to thank each and every one of you reading this today, it means a lot to see the number of visitors creeping up each week so I must be doing something right.

Wishing you a wonderful end to 2015 x

Last Tuesday's Twitter for 2015

Happy Birthday Leah, today is my nieces birthday and this is the card I made for her

This is one from the girls

Yesterday we went to blow off the cobwebs at the Crem.  It was very mild out and not too windy and to be honest, I felt a bit worse after the fresh air.  Here is the little wreath that Paul and I made.

After a bite to eat and a wander around Sainsburys I came home certainly worse.  An evening of coughing and spluttering but I had two great nurses, thanks Paul and Christiana.  Not the best today I am afraid but I will keep pottering around and sorting things out, its the bathroom today. I need to sort out all the towels and other bits and pieces and get rid of everything we dont need.  It hasnt had a good sort out since we moved and I still have things in 3 boxes so today is the ideal time.

It isnt long until Sale a Bration and if you have been thinking about joining (or rejoining) Stampin Up as a demonstrator, a hobbist where you just purchase things for you and your friends or as a one off, there is a great offer starting on 5th January.   During Sale a Bration you can get £160 worth of Stampin' Up! products for just £99.  I would love it if you joined me and my little team and if you would like to find out more, please call me on 01332 721877.  If you would like to host a party during Sale a Bration which starts on 5th January, I do have a few dates available.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful day x

MERRY MONDAY No. 1

Yesterday didnt go according to plan but hay, we still had a great day.  After a few chores we went off to to park to feed the ducks.   The weather was lovely so Christiana enjoyed it too, although it was rather damp.

This is the first Merry Monday post where I hope to share something a bit Christmassy with you each and every Monday for the next 52 weeks.  I have started a new page on the blog called Christmassy and will make sure that everything from Merry Monday is put in the Christmassy section so if you want a bit of inspiration it is all in one place.

Here are my little robins in a scene that I have water coloured.  Its all done on card from a pack and matt and layered with offcuts of card from my 'bit box'
The tags have been created with lots of offcuts again from my 'bit box' and bargin basements 3d cut outs from the Range which I have had in my stash for a couple of years.

Here is one of many smashing Christmas cards that I received this year.

This is from Elvie and Jack.

Well today we are out for another little walk and then a late lunch, fingers crossed that the rain holds off till we are home otherwise Christiana will end up sitting in the car keeping warm.

Thanks for having a read and have a great day, whatever you are up to.

Sunday

Sundays Smiles

It doesnt feel like a Sunday but we shall have a roast with all the trimmings anyway, as you do.

Yesterday was a mixture of a day, busy with chores, chilling with a film, tidy up in the crafty space, a wander in the town and sending some thank yous (more to send).

Here is one lovely little item that I have to send out a thank you for

It has been made using vellum, an embossing folder and then the curvy keepsake die, isnt it smashing.  I received this from Sheila at the fuddle, thank you so much.

Speaking of fuddle, we had a wonderful time.  Lots of food, a quiz which Julie won, raffles with 4 prizes (Alison S you won one of the little bags of stamps) and a make and take of this little fella.

It wouldnt have been complete without the photos, thanks to Christiana for taking them.

The next fuddle and get together will be in summer and we shall have high tea.  Little cakes, little sarnies, lots of nibbles as well as scones, jam and clotted cream.  I think Saturday 18th June at 4pm will be the perfect day.

A few birthday cards are needed over the next couple of weeks so off I go...thanks for having a read and have a wonderful Sunday
