Sunday

FREE Stamps

Right then, where did the weekend go?  I cant believe its back to work again tomorrow already.  Having said that, where has the year gone to?  Today is the last day of August and according to my daughter in Cyrpus, Christiana, Summer ends today, yikes.  I hope she is wrong as I havent had my holiday yet but not long to go.

Yesterday I spent the day in the lovely company of Nikki Payne and we made a Christmas Lantern, which I shall show you later in the week.  It isnt quite finished but it is lovely.  So that was Saturday taken care off which was followed by the X factor.  So, what do you think?  I really enjoyed it.

Sunday I was up at the crack of dawn in agony.  I believe that I have pulled a muscle in my arm and driving to and from Peterborough agrivated it.  Having never done this before I cant believe the pain it has caused.  Obviously that has meant that today, I havent been able to do a lot.  That might not be a bad thing as I never seem to stop these days.  It took me nearly 4 hours to have a shower, get dressed and dry my hair, really, it is that bad.  I will just rest it again tonight but I will be going to bed extremely early to try to catch up.

As well as the pain with my arm in bed, I heard the foxes outside my window again, tut tut.  I went and had a look and I wished that I hadnt.  I believed that they were "ragging" is that the right term? an animal.  Sharing between them, yaks.  When I got up this morning I saw a man standing outside my gate, leaning on is, whilst his dog did its business.  This man just walked off well.  I rushed outside and shouted like a common fishwife "oy you, your dog has left this mess outside my gate" "How do you know it is my dog" he said, to which I replied "cause I saw you on the camera".  Well this chappy came rushing back, doggie bag in hand and cleared up the mess.  Phew, so on the way back into the house I saw this

It wasnt an animal the foxes were playing with, it was my dead expensive door mat, little bu**ers.  I am putting pepper all over the garden tonight, see if that does anything.

I have managed to take some more bits and bobs into the crafty space over the weekend, but not much.  It is starting to take shape now and I do have a 1/4 of a table to work on.

I have made these.....cute?

Do you like the greeting?  you can get this free if you hold a party during September and October
So, fancy a party? Get in touch if you do and I can tell you more.

Time to put feet up now, enjoy your Sunday evening and I shall more news tomorrow.  Thanks for having a read

Friday

The weekend arrived

I forgot to ask, do you like the new look of my blog?  I wanted it to have a bit of a change and a cleaner look, not too untidy.  I do hope you like it.

It has been  rather a late night for me for the last two nights. I sat down at 9pm to watch the Great Baking programme on Wednesday, to see that I had just missed it!!! I couldn't believe it started at 8pm, I was gutted.  I was so disappointed and I didn't know that BBC do not have a BBC + 1 channel.  Never mind, it gave me time to sit and do a few more Christmas tags.  I always run out of Christmas tags so this year, I am making tons and tons, as I do sell these as well.  Last night I was busy chatting on the phone, having tea with friends and placing orders with SU.

How about these pictures

The drawers in the crafty space are starting to get sorted out.  I have had to put labels on them for a while as I cant remember where everything is.  I have my big shot and bits sorted too but goodness, there is still so much to go through and I am loving every minute of it.

I treated myself to some flowers on Wednesday at the supermarket, yes I went shopping rather than have it delivered.  Anyway, it gave me chance to put a few spare flowers in my little coffee cups.

I hate to say this but, I can not find my Stampin' Up! stamps.  Paul says that everything was moved from the old house but all the craft boxes have been opened.  No craft boxes went in the loft.  There are just a few boxes in the spare room and I dont believe any of those contain my stamps.  I shall not panic today as when Paul returns home (yes he is working away at site), we will see what the boxes in the spare room contain.

Yesterday I went to order the wardrobes for our room and we shall be having those installed at the end of October, not too long to wait really.  Then I nipped into a little tea room that I have been trying to get to for more than 9 months, in Ockbrook.  It was wonderful to grab an hour to myself and you know what, I am going to be visiting again at least once a month, just some me time.

Today was busy again but I did manage to sit down for a while and have a coffee in the conservatory and a catch up with bf....more chill time.

So the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue has arrived and, as I do not currently have internet ordering available, just let me know if you would like to receive a catalogue, place an order or have a chat about crafting in general.  01332 721877, if I am not in I have an answer machine and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks for having a read and I hope to have some time on Sunday to nip and visit everyones blog, it seems like such a long time since I had a read.....

Wednesday

Midweek Musing

Good evening and yes, blogging in the evening rather than the morning.

Its midweek and only 2 more days left at work, before another exciting weekend sorting out all my crafty bits and pieces.  Well its been rather hectic since my last post but that's not a complaint.  The crafty space got painted on Saturday and Sunday.  I started at 8am Saturday morning working my way round the room bit by bit.  It was quite difficult as I was working from natural light.  I managed to do just over half throughout the whole day.  A very big thank you goes out to George who came round at lunch time, with my lunch.  What a welcome break that was, thank you.  The afternoon saw me back up and down the steps painting away and I can tell you, I went to bed a very shattered person Saturday night.  But I was up bright and breezy on Sunday and did the same again and WOW.

The first of these pictures is more or less a true colour.  It is called Wellbeing and I am certainly hoping to feel very well in there.  I am so pleased with it.  There are a few bits that still need painting and as soon as I get my storage installed, I will complete as I go around but for now, I am so happy.

When I woke up on Sunday morning I found these strange things in my garden, not the gnomes, the mushrooms *giggling*  Well of course, as soon as the grandchildren arrived Sunday afternoon I asked them to do a little photography with my camera and the gnomes, this is what they came up with, arent they cute.

Sunday evening I made a start by opening a couple of boxes and look what has re-appeared, my lovely tea cup set.  This is something I got way back in June, on a day out with the folks.  How I love my china.

Monday I emptied some more boxes and made little piles all around the room, some bits didnt make it through the move and got damaged, other bits brought a smile to my face like this little card.....there are quite a few of us who will remember the day with Gina Martin.

Yesterday I had the lights installed, now I need sunglasses, its so bright but perfect for working in.

We have some SU weekly deals this week, which are

Well, off for a bit more unpacking but you do realise, whilst I am in the crafty space, I am not cleaning the house, nor doing the ironing, the garden or anything else...opps

Thanks for having a read

Friday

Short and Sweet

The weekend is just a few hours away.  I am really looking forward to it.  Although I dont have a car, I will be spending the weekend painting the new crafty space and putting crafty items away in drawers.

SPECIAL OFFER - for  £99 you can get £150 worth of Stampin' Up! goodies.  Give me a call on 01332 721877 to find out more.  It really isn't very often that you get something as good as this.  The catch......its only for one week and starts today. You can choose any SU products in your starter kit from the Annual Catalogue, the weekly deals, clearance and even the brand new Autumn-Winter Catalogue that has not yet gone live, get all your Christmas Crafting supplies at a reduced price.

Here is some progress with the crafty space,  the old door and window, then gone and now the new door and window.

Now I dont have a red carpet but I do have this gold underlay to protect the floor while I start the massive task of putting the boxes in.

No lights yet but who knows what will happen over the weekend.

Wednesday

Colourful colurs

Pinks, blues, greens, yellows, purples I have considered them all, for the colour on my walls on my new crafty space.

I finally decided to go with green but then goodness, there are so many shades. I have gone with wellbeing ( bottom photo, top colour) as I think it will be calming and match well with my white units, coloured boxes and I can always accessories with creams, pinks, blues etc.  all will go with the pastel green and, to be honest, you wont see tons of it as I will be having units in front of the walls.

Well the wallpaper is up, the new window is in and today the door and other window are to go in yikes, its all happening.  I hope that the floor and skirting go down tomorrow, Thursday and then Friday its a case of bringing the boxes in from the spare room.  I guess I will be doing that all afternoon Friday and all over the weekend so, if you are feeling strong, you are most welcome to pop in to help move more boxes and I promise to mash....no baking yet though.

I have started on the little border outside the new crafty space, next to the vine

I will keep the vine for this year but it may have to go for next year......a decision I dont have to make today. Starting to look colourful.

Talking of decisions, would you like to join Stampin' Up?  Would you like to become a demonstrator yourself, hold parties, meet other demonstrators and get discounted products?  Or how about just the discounted products for you and  your family / friends.  On Friday there is a brand new offer where you can sign up at a discounted price and get extra goodies in  your starter kit.  If you would like to know more before Friday, give me a call on 01332 721877.

Saturday

Cloudy Saturday

Its been a rather busy week.  On top of the day job, I have been painter, seemstress, brickys mate, sweeper uper and tea masher.  Not to mention sandwich maker and washer uper phew, about ready for a rest.

This week has been hectic but lots to show for it.

Uncle Dave celebrated his birthday and here is a card I made earlier, actually I thought his birthday was in June and had it all ready to post, then found out it was in August, phew.

My new crafty space is coming along nicely, we have a new window, plaster boarded out and ready for the plasterer who arrived first thing this morning.

To this

I have to do a tip run some time today as we have so much rubble and I wont let Paul go away leaving the side of the house looking like a builders yard, bless him.

I have had a few nights supping teas and coffees with friends and relatives, so a bit of down tool time as well.  Crafty time, ohhh, lots of inclination but nothing doing, drat.  It wont be long and I will soon be making up for lost time.

A bit of gardening has been done too.

This week, SU have some wonderful weekly deals and the next order, is due to go in on Monday.  I do have quite a few orders here at home and I will be getting in touch with everyone to let them know what is what.  Oh, its so exciting getting something new.

I shall be cleaning the decking and popping a table cloth on the table this morning (as well as getting rid of all the cobwebs), so, if you fancy a cuppa, kettle is on all day today and I will always be in need of a sit down.

Thanks for having a read and have a great day.

Clouds

Its a very early morning today but thats okay, while I have my cuppa, a catch up on facebook and check out the weather today I can have a peek of the blogs I like to visit too.

The weather is going to be cloudy with a slight chance of rain so the washer will go on in a moment and I shall get all that done before I go out.

Yesterday was hectic and it was lovely to sit down at the Christmas Card and Chatter Club last night.  I wasnt too productive, just the one card but boy, it was good to sit, laugh and chatter the night away, thank you ladies.
Here is another Christmas card I made and yes, I know its only August but I am determined to get all my Christmas Cards  done by the end of September and then I shall sell the majority of my Christmas stamps on.  This one is another from Stampin' Up! due out on 28th August.  I have the new Autumn/Winter Catalogues and will be getting them to you over the next few days.

Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day today.

Thursday

Christmas in this heat

A very muggy day today and I am shattered.  It was a bit of a late night and an early morning so I shall be having an early one tonight.

Did my morning at work, had a cuppa with sis and now off to continue with never ending chores which I dont mind too much.

Got a chappie coming round later to give me some quotes, as you do and who knows, I may get another little play tonight.

This is what I was up to last night

I made a few small cards, this one is finished but the rest just need finishing.  These are a sneek peek from the Autumn/Winter catalogue and you can get your hands on this stamp set, and a lot more from 28th August.  If you fancy a Stampin' Up! party in September or October, get in touch as I am taking booking now.

Short but sweet, have a great afternoon and evening.

Wednesday

Wonderful Wednesday

Came home from work yesterday, opened all the windows and carried on.  About 3pm I thought oh no, it had been raining for a while ......carpets wet, clothes wet and lots of water everywhere, oopss.  At least the plants will benefit as will the grass seed that I have put down.

Weekly deals, this weeks weekly deal is

I shall place an order on Sunday so, if there is anything that you would like, just get in touch 01332 721877 or email me.

Fancy being a demonstrator?  That can be a gal that goes out doing parties, holding crafting events and building up a team of your own.  Or how about just ordering your Stampin' Up! goodies, at a discount, just for you and your friends?  If you would like to find out more, give me a ring and we can arrange to have a meet up and I can tell you all about it.

Yesterday I showed you the book marks I made for me and my sis, well I then decided to make this

I shall put a quote or sentiment on it at a later date, if I need to but I loved doing it. Just a pity you cant catch the sparkle of the butterflies.  I think this is going to have to be a must for a crafty night.

I treated myself to a few roses last week and I put some in my cup and saucer, thought it was cute.

Well its raining today and I do have to cut down some more of the holly as the brown bin gets emptied tomorrow....guess I shall get wet.  I went for a lovely walk last night to see my mum and dad and wow, I didnt realise just how big some of the houses are around me.  I hope to take the same walk this evening.

Thanks for having a read, hope you miss the showers and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

Tuesdays Twitter, you can tell that Paul is away, I get to use the computer and get lots of blog posts up.  He is home in a couple of days so we get to share the computer again, less posts buy hay, thats fine.

I got to play with some new stamps YEAH.  I cant find my ink pads but I did find a pack of Stamp n Write markers and if you didnt know, you can scribble all over the stamp and use it in the same way as an ink pad.

I made these bookmarks, one for me and one for my sis.

I used the new Kinda Eclectic stamp set along with Strawberry Slush and Baked Brown Sugar Stamp n Write markers.  Baked Brown Sugar and Very Vanilla Card and Strawberry Slush thick twine.  There is lots of glitter on the butterflies but the photograph doesnt really pick it up.  I would like to use this stamp set for a lot more bits and pieces......and maybe a crafty get together too.

The forecast today is showers so I dont think that I can do a lot outside although I would like to carry on with the painting and sorting the front border.  I may have to get all my crafty bits out instead.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you manage to stay dry today.
